I share that opinion but you actually are getting a pretty decent product for the money as far as build quality goes...I would definitely go with an Atlas or Harris if you want long range precision quality though..Good to see you around bud
Utg was taken over by another company in 2010 in the US. They make an airsoft line and a pro line that is made in the us and they send evaluation and R&D stuff out to Law Enforcement and Military for opinions. I have given them input on another bipod and they fixed it before they released it so Id say they ate a pretty good company. I just wish they would get rid of the airsoft stuff, it destroys their name and credibility. Their rail systems are pretty good and their bipods are great for the money. Face it, bipods shouldnt be $250, they are 2 rods at an angle to hold your rifle up. They should be 80 tops. I had a guy in my squad who carried one on his dmr. It worked well and never had a problem. I carried a harris and broke both springs and one of the tubes became bent. So im inclined to say, all stuff breaks. Seen a few really messed up atlas bipods in Afghanistan too, some were really broken, mostly hardware came loose at was lost. Im inclined to just buy a cheaper one now because i dont have just 2 rifles anymore and i want simple and effective.
+Phu Vet Yeah great points...I dont think having an airsoft side hurts it as much as just having quality products for the money would help it. Im pretty impressed with what you get for the money with this product
Jarhead6 Yeah it definitely still serves me well..I mostly use it to zero my rifles, or to hunt with because you can't tilt your rifle easily on an uneven surface so keep that in mind..But it's still in great shape and working great. Great for ranges, and benchrest for sure..Hope your family is doing well brother
