The rats cost the farmers thousands each year so this is helping him no end and the dogs love it my staffordshire bull terriers loved helping out killing rats in there hundreds
we have rats in washington state. I battle them every year. I really try for them early spring and late fall. some neighbors take the problem serious and some don't do diddly shit. if everyone helped it would make a difference. good video, love seeing the dogs having fun.

To be totally honest your very fortunate to have a laid back patterdale, ours are extremely hard work as pets! they don't get on with next doors cat or any other mammals on that note.

For example,if tiger sharks went extinct there would be no more seagrass. Tiger sharks eat turtles,and turtles eat the seagrass. If they become overpopulated the ocean will go to shit,atleast alot of it.
I had a giant schnauzer that was a handy ratter his way of killing a rat was to crush it to death in his jaws you could hear the bones breaking as he crushed the rat.
My patterdale is 4 but isn't a working terrier, but she's killed pigeons, crow n squirrel just wondering if she seen a rat would she know what 2 do? Also she chases and goes nuts when sees a fox their just 2 fast for her loo

Absolutely zero chance of these dogs becoming gentrified by city dwelling owners. Patterdales have a extremely high prey drive, there is not an awful lot they're afraid of and won't pursue.
People try and they end up being abandoned at the RSPCA because they will try and escape if you don't work them enough. I've kept them since I was a kid and they have a ridiculous prey drive. They will chase down and quarry anything up to fox size.

there is quite a few lung diseases that can be caught from inhaling this particular dust, and can be extremely fatal.
