😂 I was gonna say same mine snapped the lead he has in his hand to chase after a magpie . As I rounded corner she was sat on it. I thought it would. Be ☠️ so I went to take 10:38 away - magpie was alive and not greatful to be save and bit me!
Brilliant I have a 3 year old patterdale. I wish I had done this from an early age. Now he sometimes comes back but other times he will just stand there sniffing something and ignore me. Great dogs none the less
"Enough of that stuff"....... Loved the vid, not a dog person really but thought this vid was quality. Nice little dog, i dont feel like it could eat me whole!!!!!!
Check the areas for fox dens or badger setts first as these terriers will run in there off the leads . Intelligent little terriers these are, and well worth having .
Be glad you are young…. I had a Patterdale and it was the most exhausting four year experience I’ve ever had. Unbelievable breed… he was one of the most proficient baseball stripping, furniture destroying, dog toy eating rodent killing, dog fighting, walking across fences like a cat, territorial high energy mini pit bull like never leave you alone Dog. He was ultimately killed by my daughters monster German shepherd in a bloody fight . The shepherd punctured vital organs and the shepherd sustained many wounds as well. Patterdale’s are super tenacious. When the vet administered the big bird nap shot it wouldn’t die and he had to administer another shot $75 each. He didn’t want to go. Many Patterdale’s die by getting into fights with larger dogs. Never ever a terrier again. RIP Maurice you were born into an impossible breed.
You will have great fun with your new patterdale. Training can drive you crazy and takes a while compared to other dogs ive had but worth the effort. I thought i had whistle recall nailed with mine untill she heard someone else blow a whistle and bolted to them for food 😂
excellent video looking good very trainable dogs my work colleage who has a patterdale has trained with me i am atrainer in the midlands we took her down the gundog training path her name is jaff she on her under patterdal training she stops to whistle super obedient can call her off rabbits the lot these dogs are amazing if you put the time in and start young as your are your dog will be great.
Just found your site. Great videos and information. Pick my Patterdale Terrier in a few weeks. Good control and recall of Crisis. Did you do recall in a closed environment before her first outing? I see you use a gloved hand to give treats? What treats do you use? Keep up the great work.
Great this. I’ve just been out with mine on the long lead. He keeps Boltin every time he sees another dog and just jumps on the other dog. So sutton I’m currently workin on.
My patterdale is 15 he still thinks he can fight a lion my patt is huge he's 30 lbs and not fat he's from the Nuttall line people will say he's not a patt because of his size but I owned both his mum and dad sadly passed now he's what you call a freak of the breed that's him in the picture there's also videos of him I feed him raw steak every other day fish one day then normal dog food the other two he has full fat milk and scrambled eggs for his breakfast all his meals have pure salmon oil in them this is excellent for his joints because when he wakes up he's stuff after a minute he's then find best dogs there is by far
No chance with my Patterdale 2 years old great at home on recall but when that lead comes of on the fields near me she is goneeee like the wind already had and killed 2 cats and a squirrel 😳
Patterdale recall ? Wait till she’s on to something and then try !
Fair play so far bro 👍

Absolutely brilliant this love patterdales. Great work bro 👍
Good luck with the recall when the hunting instinct flicks on. 😂 I have a 7 year old one that looks exactly the same as Crisis. Lovely dogs, but....
That's not a crisis....that's pure joy!
Brilliant

Dude never trust the recall. Too young for the prey drive. When it kicks In it's a different story
Great job man! That pup has so much potential, especially with someone with your training skills.

Patterdales dont do recall unless you have something they want 😮😮
My mum recommended this diet.

Alfie recall is great we just used a different nicer treat for his recall Training and he soon picked it up
can you post an update vid on the pup?
Want to see more videos of her
Recalling with treats sux. As soon as the dog finds something more interesting the recall is out the window.
Why has the dog got a docked tail?
It doesn't, patterdale tails are short like that
Can anyone recommend a good patterdale terrier breeder in uk?
Was your Granda white?
