I honestly didn't even know that Hua Tuo was in the game. I think he should give a lifespan increase chance for your characters. Judging by the TV show Advisor's Alliance, that manual can turn you into a nigh-immortal.
Military expert is my life-saving in early game because you can equip it to anyone in your army and have turtle formation before my strategist reach lv4.
Just because a stat is not the exact same color as the class, doesn't mean it's useless. More authority for your champion or sentinel means your frontline units rout less. And more instinct is straight up more damage. The inspector's bonus says it buffs your entire army. You can put it on a sentinel and still have get the moral buff on your commander's melee cavalry units. Mindlessly stacking one stat and dismissing everything else is asking for a bad time.
This is really driving home to me that it’s weird that authority doesn’t give a administrative bonus. It feels like it would make you better at leading

Bodyguard is my personal S tier! 10 melee evasion means TONS of expertise. It can push high level sentinel to over 100 melee evasion which means almost invisible in duel (but somehow if they are dueling with high another high level sentinel with gold weapon like Sun Jian they can still lose health). And it can makes champions survive much longer in the duel cause in the higher difficulty champions are not good at dueling with cheating AI who has TONS of buffs behind them. And it is every easy to get as brown follower. And he looks cool XD BTW it is very interesting that Hua Tuo is actually in the game as a common strategist. If he begin with himself (as a gold follower) and his book (which is a gold item I believe) it will be very funny.
@@simhksim no it can exceed 100%, with nanman characters is "easy" if you pick tu an and have him at rank 10 with max expertize and you maxed the skill that gives you 15 melee evasion when maxed and give him expertize items he can surpass 100% melee evasion. This is theory crafting but it's possible

I have notice that this game's artifacts has a lot of artifacts which would be consider as too common to include in other total war series such as clay/stone/jade statuettes. What are they and their actual historical role/usage as well as cultural significance?

It is, of course, my opinion, but I have never seen anyone that makes the sets with followers+ items. And that's why I believe that they are either badly designed or extremely rare to acquire, thus the players don't use them. Most players use them individually, just to have the specific bonuses or for satisfaction purposes. I believe, though, that the sets should be designed in a better way, so as to do have a good benefit for ministers, prime ministers, heirs or faction leaders and also on administrators, so as to make the players pursue them. and I think that they should be more easily accessible or acquirable. As I said above, it is my opinion and I would like to read yours. Merry Christmas, may the next year be better than this one that passes away and have a nice time, mate, keep the family safe and keep on producing this amazing content about Three Kingdoms, from where I have learnt so much about a period of Chinese history that I love. It does happen, I mean I currently have the confucian sage and book of document in the Liu Biao campaign (one silver one gold set). They do need to find a way to make getting followers easier
@@SeriousTrivia no i mean reserves. its only for bandit factions, the military supplies is the stance using option and only affects banditry income. the reserves act differently for bandit settlements based on what stage they are at. With high reserves it increases public order and income from all sources at about +6 PO and 15% income from all sources
I see, I haven't played a bandit faction since Yan Baihu so I am probably pretty rusty on the reserve effects for bandit settlements, but I guess that gives them a little value, but not enough to really justify the items as its not like you can't get high reserve without them. All you need is plenty of food
I've been looking for a mod that adds all items from all game modes into all game modes- that is like the yellow turban and three princes DLC items would be in Rise of the warlords just the same as the Rise of the warlords ancillaries - crazy that there doesn't seem to have been anyone who's done this - I basically only play rise of the warlords and collecting powerful items is one of the best parts - I will probably do it myself when I find the time. The trader is one of my favorites even though it's not technically that good - I like to build my armies led by lvl 6+ commanders as I use a lot of melee formations as oppose to range so strategists aren't really a big part unless it's a unique one or a niche army to deal with a particular foe, or a particular faction or playstyle, even then they have to be level 5 so they have access to all formations and have night battles/fire. I also like to level my vangaurds to have flame of the pehonix before I add them to an army, sentinels to have tenacity of steel and champions to have at least one attack skill, hamstring or binding fury. Being able to give any and/or several characters use the Surplus Markets assignment in counties like Jingzhao, Shandang, Hedong, Jianning or something where commerce & industry income is already rediculous plus an extra 50% to commerce and 15% to industry it's BRILLIANT! and the item is so common you can often have it running in all of them at the same time, underrated as hell item I think. Also, I use turtle to block the arrows from towers while my archers burn them down, so the Military Expert is one of my favorite in the early game too - I try to give it to Vanguards will authority traits, early game cavalry is pretty skittish, especially the shock cavalry
The labour recruiter doesn't work on the ancilley generating counties (the population boost isn't applied to those counties) so the only comandery where labour recruiter gives that boost to 4 counties is the meng huo starting commandery

Probably because the population is counted countie to countie and a capped county doesn't gorw so those counties recive all the bonuses of population grow but it exceeds the cap so they countie goes to it's population cap that is 0

This once was pretty nice. Satisfaction might not be that important for people that don't play the game on Very Hard and Legendary, but those followers are for sure S tier. Also, I don't think I have ever seen this "Provincial Auditor", then again I haven't been playing much of 3k, waiting for the next DLC. Does anybody know the best way to get this high level followers? Do you still get it by upgrading your settlement and/or stealing from characters?

Yep that’s exactly what it means. The character death is not a big deal but faction death is what loses items. Every item they have will be lost. This is why you rarely see any unique followers or accessory items in the game
I don't get the Inspector set...at all. Why would you use an army buffer as a administrator unless you are near a warzone or dealing with happiness/zeal issues? So far, the only set I like is unique to Samoke due to a army with no fatigue. And the Martial Law and other order sets for stability (just the thing to try to get that tax level up without a revolt). The sets for speeding up recruiting and xp boosts seem useful, but I don't feel like constantly micromanaging my Generals' and Administors' staff and trophy collections. I got enough issues as is trying to build a stable government during a societal collapse.
In all my hours of 3K, I’ve only seen 1 of the final unique followers/items. I didn’t even know Hua Tupac was in the game! I also love the idea of schools producing followers. I wonder if that’s something that would be hard for modders to add. Seems like another cool thing that TROM could have added.
I just started Lu Bu campagin A World Betrayed & got myself a set of Military Law at the beginning. It still gave me recruit level 1. I have Fate Divided DLC. What's a waste of time to wheel & deal & find out the set doesn't work.
It has worked for me before although I haven’t tried it in the recent patch. So you have military expert and weilao zi both on the same character and his retinues are not getting the extra rank?
@@SeriousTrivia Yes. I do have both on the same character & nothing changed. If both items are on the same character, the set text will turn to green, instead of white if only one is equipped. Mouse over also said +2 starting ranks for new recruit. Edited for clarity.
items in the game can belong to a set (like one follower and one accessory) and when they are equipped on the same character you get the additional set bonus effects as well

I gotta disagree on these ones. Those income bonuses from followers are just too small and pretty much neglectable. Spy master is actually pretty good since AI's spies are left right and center. Formation followers are also pretty good for no-strategist armies. Reserve followers are also good when you play Yuan Shu or Liu Biao and wanna build a huge city without invading Cao Cao or betraying Cai Mao and Huang Zu. Anyway, keep at it. I always watch all your videos. Cheer!
I strongly disagree. At least with my play style. I never recruit anyone who could be a spy and slowing down the spying by making each action cost a bit more doesn’t stop you getting spied on? Like the spy that will steal an item will still get to steal that item a turn later without you knowing or why is it any helps. Reserves becomes pointless in sieges as it always just crash to 0 so thinking that it will give you more time being sieged is also not a good idea. And why are you getting sieged?
@@SeriousTrivia Well my point on reserve is that with a governor with Filial skill and some bonus from follower, you can even out the negative reserve penalty from negative food surplus, so you can keep a wealthy city like Nanyang thriving while having no food sources at all. You can of course keep your food surplus with assignments but that's a waste of the already scant assignment slots, especially in the early game. Spymaster makes the actions cost more and the AI spies indeed often get caught because of that, and when they do you can get a chance of hiring them for real. And if I'm not mistaken, the chance of recruited general being a spy is a flat 50% or something so there's no real way you can avoid it and sometimes you wanna hire some random generals in the pool to do the assignment.
any general who is willing to spy for you cannot be an enemy spy. any general with a former grudge against their former faction cannot be a spy. any general whose old faction is destroyed cannot be a spy. If you take a look at any of my let's plays there are never spies

Well people nowadays collect Tang San Cai which were big burial items during the Tang

Reserves are useful for bandit factions since high reserves with them gives you public order and inckme from all sources
I believe you are mixing up military supplies with reserves in a commandery

Those does not have populations but it should work on most four county commanderies say Huainan is another one

can the eunuch followers can be removed ?
Yes all items can be equipped and removed unless it the tribute chest which stays on for twenty turns before expiring

the forge building can craft non-gold tier weapons, armors, and bows
