I think these are different ones, specialized 2 seater taxis with no steering wheel or other controls apparently, and luggage capacity for maybe one person’s airline luggage. The taxi companies were considering buying lots of these to use, but car rental data from a certain company made them change their minds😂jk but the photos look like props from the ‘I robot’ movie, especially that art-deco party bus. I carried a tub of butter, a large bottle of milk and a jar of marmalade from the table to the kitchen and fridge the other day and put them all away in one journey without having to put anything down. When a personal robot can be demonstrated doing that incredibly basic task in exactly the same way, with no human intervention, I'll be impressed. Alas at the moment it would need to make three journeys, take about 20 minutes and there's a chance I'd have melted butter, chilled marmalade and off milk once it was done. There will need no useful roboslave for that is exactly what they are) in the next 20 years.
Those sort of robots, are for people who want a slave, without the ethical issues. I think they should get their arses off the couch and do it themselves.

Indeed all manufacturers make mistakes and are reluctant to spend the money to fix them. Somehow though, Tesla seems to get a pass, and that is what bothers me. I am not anti-EV, in fact we own a Nissan Leaf as well as a plug-in Hybrid. When the model 3 first came out I almost bought one. The lack of manual latches in the rear which meant my kids would have had no escape in a crash with power failure (common) was a deal-breaker for me... Manual releases on ALL doors are a must to me. I don't believe a single thing EJ says, due to most of it being purely for share price boosting, usually. On the design front, the car looks like a modified current model cut+paste with a gold material added for the render. The 'bus' however has a nice art deco look, i think. It's important to sick to the facts and not let your emotions get in the way. I peronally despise Elon Musk as a human being, I hate his politics and would love to see him fail. I agree with some of what you say about his duplicity and vapourware. But on the other hand Tesla is doing well and their cars are actually going from strength to strength while the legacy ICE industry enters it's inevitable death spiral. Their cars are really good and your anti-EV attitude is not going to age well. I thought the cybertruck would fail, but it seems to be going well. Tesla also sells grid scale batteries to soak up all the excess daytime solar and replace evening peaking plants. This business is going absolute gangbusters, even in ultra-conservative Texas, now one of their best markets. Autonomous driving is going to be real. It's getting closer and is going to be a huge winner for Tesla. You simple cannot be so ridiculously dismissive. I haven't formed an opinion on the humanoid robots yet, but there are plenty of people who think it going to be big. As much as we might dislike Musk, you do yourself and your audience a huge disservice in being so over-emotional and dismissive of the actual data.

My report was on the market's response to 'We, Robot'. The price hike came after it was uploaded, and it's a bubble. The P/E is 86 - meaning the market is kidding itself that this hi-tech hokum is going to happen.
Rebounded on Thursday from $213.65 on Wednesday. Biggest one day jump for Tesla since 2013 but there is really no clear reason why. Q3 earnings were up but not enough to justify such a jump in my opinion.

Wall street analysts are a bunch BS artistes. Toyota's P/E ratio (Share price divided by annual profit divided by nbr of shares) is about 7 and Tesla's is about 72. This is because Tesla's share price is based on future growth but Toyota more on its current production. So more profit from physical cars shouldn't be a big catalyst but it is.

I carried a tub of butter, a large bottle of milk and a jar of marmalade from the table to the kitchen and fridge the other day and put them all away in one journey without having to put anything down. When a personal robot can be demonstrated doing that incredibly basic task in exactly the same way, with no human intervention, I'll be impressed. Alas at the moment it would need to make three journeys, take about 20 minutes and there's a chance I'd have melted butter, chilled marmalade and off milk once it was done.
There will need no useful roboslave for that is exactly what they are) in the next 20 years.
Those sort of robots, are for people who want a slave, without the ethical issues.

Indeed all manufacturers make mistakes and are reluctant to spend the money to fix them. Somehow though, Tesla seems to get a pass, and that is what bothers me. I am not anti-EV, in fact we own a Nissan Leaf as well as a plug-in Hybrid. When the model 3 first came out I almost bought one. The lack of manual latches in the rear which meant my kids would have had no escape in a crash with power failure (common) was a deal-breaker for me... Manual releases on ALL doors are a must to me. But to each their own...

It's important to sick to the facts and not let your emotions get in the way. I peronally despise Elon Musk as a human being, I hate his politics and would love to see him fail. I agree with some of what you say about his duplicity and vapourware. But on the other hand Tesla is doing well and their cars are actually going from strength to strength while the legacy ICE industry enters it's inevitable death spiral. Their cars are really good and your anti-EV attitude is not going to age well. I thought the cybertruck would fail, but it seems to be going well. Tesla also sells grid scale batteries to soak up all the excess daytime solar and replace evening peaking plants. This business is going absolute gangbusters, even in ultra-conservative Texas, now one of their best markets. Autonomous driving is going to be real. It's getting closer and is going to be a huge winner for Tesla. You simple cannot be so ridiculously dismissive. I haven't formed an opinion on the humanoid robots yet, but there are plenty of people who think it going to be big. As much as we might dislike Musk, you do yourself and your audience a huge disservice in being so over-emotional and dismissive of the actual data.

I bought a Model 3 because I drive over 100 miles per day and have dirt cheap electricity. It's an amazing car, and FSD, while VERY convenient, is nowhere near ready for unsupervised driving.
The robovan won't need windows because it can have flat screens inside where the windows would otherwise be, showing the view from external cameras, which is way more profound than something as primitive as glass. Using AI video-processing gives the added benefit of being able to filter the outside view, erasing all non-white pedestrians, and adding giant banners of Space Adolf draped from buildings at 50m intervals.

Agreed. Tesla cars are brilliant. I live in Norway and 82.4% of new car sales in 2023 were EVs, this figure does not include hybrids. Tesla may not survive as a company, however it cannot be denied that the whole EV enterprise has been accelerated by Elon Musk. Space X is almost unbelievable for its technical advances. If it were anyone other than Elon Musk the world's media would have been all over the safe return of that booster last week. This event was a technological and engineering marvel.

Rebounded on Thursday from $213.65 on Wednesday. Biggest one day jump for Tesla since 2013 but there is really no clear reason why. Q3 earnings were up but not enough to justify such a jump in my opinion.

Wall street analysts are a bunch BS artistes. Toyota's P/E ratio (Share price divided by annual profit divided by nbr of shares) is about 7 and Tesla's is about 72. This is because Tesla's share price is based on future growth but Toyota more on its current production. So more profit from physical cars shouldn't be a big catalyst but it is.
Exactly, current P/E (I just checked) was 86. The market is pretending all those magical achievements are a done deal. That's the power of BS.

@@gusv8well Bezos started off with way more money than musk and blue origin is so far behind as to be non existent. NASA have spent many times spaceX annual turnover just building the SLS rocket which is nowhere near as capable as the spaceX starship rocket. So not anyone with enough money can build a rocket.

I owned a 74 MG midget back in the late seventies, now that I'm single again, kids grown and gone, I with I could've kept it, I really enjoyed it's sporty driving and sense of speed, low to the ground. It's probably been long crushed and returned to it's maker.
