Thanks for uploading these nx1 clips. I'm considering getting one primarily for video. Do the 1080p clips record at the same format and file type as the 4K? Read a lot about the new codec that the nx1 records at needs to be converted before being able to be used in most video editors. Would slow my work flow down a bit if that's the case, but no doubt the video quality is beautiful. Thanks for any help
+keola36 h.265 is the codec used by the camera for both 1080 and UHD (and Cinema 4K). Premiere CC has had an update for native support of the files but study the files in different players and you'll see Premiere crushes the blacks. Transcoding is pretty straightforward, people have been reporting better results going from h.265 to h.264 as opposed to directly to ProRes. Just a heads up. And yes, the video quality is very good :-)
+ESGI Thank you for the quick reply. I'm using a Canon 70D right now for video but it leaves a lot to be desired (1080p at only 25P). The main reason I like it is because of the autofocus. The autofocus on the nx1 seems decent but Mabye not as good as the 70D. Even if I do pick up a NX1 I will probably mostly record in 1080 anyways. I'm subscribing to you and will watch more of your videos as I contemplate picking one up or not. Thanks again
