I love this song. These Temptation are very good. I remembered the originals. They deserved more credit than they got. Both are very good. I grew up in the sixties and and when to hign school and college in the seventies.
This Song is actually Melvin's last recording the Temptations. You can hear his voice in the Background. He passed after this Song and since then they recorded it and shot the video without him. But you can see an empty mike-stand that represents Melvin.
He had died before they recorded this song. The only recording he was able to do was “Life Is But A Dream”. Ray Davis did this song and the rest of the songs on the album, but left because he was diagnosed with throat cancer.

I gave Paul the nod over Eddie because of the way Otis spoke of him in an interview once. He said Paul was the glue that kept them together. Eddie Kendricks was an incomparable tenor though. He would definitely be ahead of anyone else in Temptation's history.
I remember back in October 1977 I met a guy while visiting a clothing shop. We talked briefly but did not exchange telephone numbers. He called me on he phone. I asked him how did he get my number and he said he had done some research. He told his parents he finally found a girl he think he could share his life with. He had previously been visiting the clubs with his friends. He told his running buddies that he was going to have to cut them loose because he found a special girl. We were engaged in Nov. 1977. We married in June 1978. At the time I was 23 and he was 26. I was a country girl and he was from the city. We had two children. We were married for 32 years. We were separated by his death in 2010.

Let me tell you ladies when he touched my hand to say hello they where so soft and smooth almost silky like his voice. I remember telling him so!!! He was a wonderful singer and performer.
