This dude is awesome. You feel his personality shine through the language barrier, and he’s always very intuitive about the food he’s eating.
I got so surprised when I saw the Tagalog subtitles lmao it's so accurate and nice but like it's my first time seeing a youtuber use that language as subtitles. Majority of Filipinos who uses youtube is fluent in English so we just survive with English here. I really appreciate it as a native Filipino, makes me love this guy more other than his fun content.

Maybe it's their secret to having good skin. 😄 Btw he's a marine science biology grad from Tokyo University, a top notch Uni. So I think he knows what he's eating.
@@frenchpotato5661 I didn’t imply that he doesn’t know what he’s eating. I said he is brave. The taste and smell of fish guts is atrocious.
I imagine cooking the fish with the guts inside might lead to that bitter smell and taste “leaking” into the flesh.
You have to be brave to smell that and still eat it.

That is a really interesting point that you bring up, when you asked if anything eats this starfish. Seeing as everything in the ocean gets eaten by something, that's how you become so confident that it is edible. It's just so amazing how different your mentality is than mine. I wish to learn a lot from you. Thank you for your videos

Masaru can easily be an Isekai manga protagonist which has the power from anything he eats (I'm aware there has been many iteration of this scenario but Masaru will be the RL person that really fit the scenario)
I think there is a manhwa exactly with this story guy isekaid and gets power on eating different food😂

Greetings from America I just tried your recipe of soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and saki it is great only thing is fresh water fish needs about twenty minutes to soak but you are dead correct about soak time on ocean fish .keep up the vids we love them!!

I've seen Masaru-san eat the ocean's tastiest to the weirdest creatures 😂 some of them I don't even think as edible😂

With the sea stars, I think you can cut them in half and it will grow back. If its not edible you could throw half back into the ocean so it can continue to grow. Just an idea.
