It was able to get Citrisolv and I bought some Nat Geos at my 2nd hand store, I was waiting to do the deed outside in case it was super intense scent. I brought everything to Florida with me and I finally did it‼️ Yay, I found the same as you, the back pages did much better and I got some beauties! Thank you for your wonderful tutorials and encouragement!💕🇨🇦

I can't wait to try this. My mother has hundreds of National Geographics that are just going to be thrown away. No library, no charity, they can't be recycled, no one wants them. I am so excited to find something to do with them.

I tried this once before but I'm going to give it another try thanks to your coaching. While you were doing the collages a thought. Paper reminded me of an appaloosa horse. If you have a cutting machine (cricuit, brother, etc) you could use silhouette cutouts to create fantasy animals for cards or collage. Ooo Ooo got to give it a try. Thanks.

Thank you, the page downloads are greatly appreciated. I bought Citrasolv after your first video and the smell was overwhelming! My sense of smell is not the greatest, so that's saying something for me. They were left outside for 3 months (!) and the smell was still to intense to bring in the house. The older magazines, 1970'/1980, did work somewhat but not as well as the new pages you've created.

You say you tried other products to dissolve but have you tried other magazines? What is so particular about National Geographic magazines and their inks? TIA

A couple of Aussie posters below have said they've bought it here from I Herb but when I go to that website it's not available. I've googled it so many time. Amazon sell it for over $100. I found a website called Vitamin Grocer Australia that has the 8fl oz for AUD$25.50 and AUD$6 shipping (from the US!!??)....Sounded too good to be true so I Googled the reviews which were 95% bad, only a few seemed ok with their delivery and service. Most never received their purchases nor got a refund!! My order from them will cost $35, so I may just take the risk for such a small amount of money if iherb don't come to the party. You never know until you try, I might be one of the lucky ones . Anyway, thanks for the reply and for your wonderful collage courses you generously provide. 😆

Hi, thank you for the tip about the age of the national geographic. I subscribed for many years so my tests have been on the older magazines as I have a vast amount of them. No wonder they have left me puzzled. Citrosol can be bought in OZ 5 litres for $37 plus $10 postage. It’s advertised as a hand cleaning degreaser. I’ll plunge in and order some. I wonder if it will clean my oven? Thanks for the video I always find them informative and fun.x

Absolutely beautiful! Can you use other magazines and get the same effect? Also, do you print your photos 15:16 on just copy paper? Can they be printed with an inkjet printer?
I havnt found any other magazine to work. I get laser print copy on starts paper from the shop because I find the colours are richer & stronger than my dumb ink jet printer & the matte medium won’t make them bleed. Sometimes inkjet prints will bleed with the addition of spray ink & water 👍🏼 cheers

I have another nat geo (both were brand new) and may try again later in summer, but maybe you have the touch! I JUST LOVE YOUR COLLAGES SO MUCH AND WANTED TO CREATE SOMETHING SIMILAR. Not everyone in life is a star like you but we can keep trying. I am liking the collage that I am putting together WITH THE DOOR PICTURE THAT YOU SUGGESTED FROM Unsplash and I made some COPPER ROSETTES with the STRING GEL (this works if you work carefully at getting the water/paint/gel ratio right)! Sorry, I THINK THAT IT’S DEFINITELY RIGHT FOR ME TO REPORT MY SUCCESSES TOO! I just wanted those for whom the citrasolve didn’t work not to feel bad because it is a tricky thing. But YOU GAVE US SOME FREEEBIES TO USE! THANK YOU! YOU ARE AWESOME!

It’s like recycling these magazines. Once I’ve read them I’m not going to keep them until the end of time
