I love my fellow Airmen, but I could never imagine a stiff AF General getting busy like that Army General did. Big ups to both lines but they could use some help from an HBCU drumline.
I thought I'd have to nitpick this one going in but Air Force definitely took home the W on this one Tenors were *slightly* out of tune on Air Force it sounded like, but that's definitely nitpicking and in the grand scheme of things the playing makes up for it. Seems like you guys did a great job keeping it clean across the board, which at the end of the day is definitely one of the most important parts! Not too hard, not too easy, just right to get it down tight. Army had issues with their basses not being together on some calls. There was at least one where I think they were together, but they were all over the place sometimes. 6:17 is a decent example, thought it might just be a poorly executed run that is harder to hear on the recording. Tenor tuning was... very interesting to say the least. It was pretty far out there from what it sounded like to me (2:45), which sounds like something that you just gotta take the time to do. Air Force's tuning was ALMOST there, which just happens sometimes, but Army's was pretty far out of tune between tenors. That and it seemed like they went over their heads skill wise with some calls, especially at 6:57 where you can see their tenor line completely fall apart for a couple seconds. All in good fun though, both great schools (plus Army had some good hype for them!) and it's always fun to see some D&B content!
Next up air force vs navy Drum battle for sure Love this friendly duel between both armed forces Just like my army JROTC highschool years in the raider team and drill team etc Go army hooah 🕊️ Of ✌️
Too much noise really to enjoy any of it. It reminded me of being in the band room with everyone practicing their instruments, while some ppl talked and laughed until the band director stood up on the podium and commanded everyone's attention.
As an 18-year AIR FORCE VETERAN (1974-1992). What a disgrace 1- Flight Uniformates for a football game Class B uniform would of have been a better choice. The truth is Title 4 U.S. Code states no requirements that the U.S. flag is worn on the right sleeve because it is, as some say, a position of honor. Title 4 U.S.C. states that the U.S. flag can be placed on a military uniform. It states that the union field always is placed to the flag's own right when displayed on walls, buildings, etc., but there are no requirements that the U.S. flag is placed on the right sleeve and no requirement that states it should appear as if it is moving forward. Turned around, ballcaps are nothing gang-pung garbage. Air Force greats such as General LeMay, General James, CMSGTAF Barnes, and CMSGTAF Gaylor. Less not forget our Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Captain Bennett, TSGT. Chapman, AIC Pitsenberg, Capt. Sijan an academy graduate.
as an Aussie Outsider - whilst the Chairforce did have a kick arse cymbal line, and some Hot drummers, the HAAAARRRRRRMME had a Three Star dancing with a freakin DONKEY! Army won that one. f
As an Aussie Outsider too, I saw that as well! :D That 3 star general is actually Lieutenant General Darryl A. Williams, the Superintendent of West Point, sir! :D
For a military organization, neither one of them had any military bearing whatsoever. Hate to be negative, but both drumlines need some real instruction. Does the Air Force Drumline know that Kama John Dowling oh, may he rest in peace, develop back sticking, and use it for the first time with the Air Force, drum quartet back in the early sixties and took first place learning them the first national championship ever? John, would roll over in his grave if he I was able to witness this display.
Unless for some reason these cadets can take a musician MOS, this is all just fun for them, not that bragging rights aren't worked on. Between their studies and other responsibilities, they fit this into their schedule when they can. You really need to check out actual military bands, including non-MOS related ensembles.
They should scrap all military bands and save some money. You don't see the Israeli army farting around with such crap. During the Falklands War unit musicians couldn't effectively engage their enemy.
Drums battles are the only battles humans should have.
I got to give this one to the Air Force they took this one home for sure
Air Force Academy stole the Army's Lunch Money....no doubt they ruled this drum battle!
I've been on a huge binge of these vids. SO DAMN COOL.
I love my fellow Airmen, but I could never imagine a stiff AF General getting busy like that Army General did. Big ups to both lines but they could use some help from an HBCU drumline.
What's with the cheerleaders?
@@Zazu1776 its for Branch Academies, Dwight Eisenhower was a cheerleader fun fact
I com from a military family where my father was an army officer but I believe Air Force win’s this one for sure.
Tie: AF for style, Army for relaxed, pure joy. Talent is equal.
Loved this !! USAF gets my vote !!! Both were great tho !
Air force won hands down. Home team needs to step it up.
Air force had it in the bag
Go USAF!!!💖😊🇺🇸

Air force was slightly better. Great job on both sides
USAF SIMPLY THE VERY BEST 🥁🇺🇸❤
Air force all the way. Which is difficult, my family was Army & one Navy that I know of. So picking is hard
Goooo Air Force!
Sorry. The USAF cheerleaders were cuter. (Also, good lock on tempo!.) Loved both.
Need to do Navy drum line and Air Force drum line.
I hope AF will kick navy’s butt too
Go Air Force
Next up air force vs navy
Drum battle for sure
Love this friendly duel between both armed forces
Just like my army JROTC highschool years in the raider team and drill team etc
Go army hooah
🕊️ Of ✌️
Fly kids took the W.
Wal-Mart's going to be selling a lot of hearing aids in 30 years.
Band geeks really know how to party
Veteran Airforce here... Gotta love them Army girls though... Love em!!!
Air Force
Good video:)🎉
Sorry airmy but the armforce took the W
U.S. Army's Williams at 6:24 of this video looks like he'd be a good drill sergeant.
Tru dat! He's actually Lieutenant General Darryl A. Williams, the Superintendent of West Point! :D
Lieutenant General Darryl A. Williams is such a cool chap! :D "Sup! Sup! Sup!"
Sooooo CoooooL
Zoomies rock the air cover for the Grunts...every time.
Love
Both were proud and spitfires. American made in the USA!
Army was awful, but my word i love you guys and pray for your welfare, ty for your service!
I am a army girlfriend and proud!!
GO USAFA !!!
Where was this performed at?
Airforce drummers are more organised then Army
Army really sneakin the ODL cadence in there
Let’s go Army!
Airforce win, because they've practices a lots, than army's.
Edwards. All day love Misty
I believe the USMC drum & bugle corps would blow either of these two teams away
Linda! They probably would because they are the drum & bugle corps. That’s what they do- I’m sure these AF and Army folks have other jobs.
@@rudyburgess8106 these look like USAFA and West Point students. Those folks have a whole ‘nother job lol
Carnaval Brazil = Perfect
Look out here weeeeee commmmmme
Heap , Air Force took this one!
Ex ARMY wife here I loved both, if I didn't say that my big brother would kill me lmao, he's retired Air force
wow
More like the battle of the cameras.
**marines walks in**
Ok
air force too took this one.
More cowbell!
Too much noise really to enjoy any of it. It reminded me of being in the band room with everyone practicing their instruments, while some ppl talked and laughed until the band director stood up on the podium and commanded everyone's attention.
I didn't know Air Force have cheerleaders...
USAF played a bit cleaner than army
Put a fucking cover on your grapes. Semper Fi.
Horse!
I agree!
It's a tie.
Army won!
I heard you were in college and what did you do?? I was on the BoyCheer Team 😳
😭🤣Plays a trombone but trying to look tough
Good grief that was rough.

Not a fan of either, but Army's drum corp kinda sucked...

Airforce Rejected Me Yesterday (ARMY)
As an Aussie Outsider too, I saw that as well! :D That 3 star general is actually Lieutenant General Darryl A. Williams, the Superintendent of West Point, sir! :D
They didn’t invite Navy because all we do is win win win lol
Flight suit? Where's your plane? When was the last time you flew?
Every 2nd AF guy is wearing 🤓😷
Absolutely ridiculous both Air Force and Army, why on earth would they act like that?
Inter service rivalry, it’s not always serious. It can be one on one in fun too.
For a military organization, neither one of them had any military bearing whatsoever. Hate to be negative, but both drumlines need some real instruction. Good to see the USAF practicing its Blue on Blue action. Shame your pilots are not as precise when releasing bombs on British troops.
Can you imagine being so bad in the military that you are reduced to being the part of a drum corps?
Morale boasting is important too
These are only cadets at their respective academies
Unless for some reason these cadets can take a musician MOS, this is all just fun for them, not that bragging rights aren't worked on. Both pretty much suck. I expected a lot more from Army.
Pretty gay
