This song is so much better when you let Switch 625 play on after it.
Exactly.
My thought too
yes indeed it is \m/
It's not the same without it. Switch 625 is just a killer jam.
Indeed yes. It’s, incomplete otherwise/
Weather or not you like Def Leppard you have to respect them as a band for the things they've gone through.....the drummer only has one arm for crying out loud 😎👍
He had two at the time of this video. Both Ricks were poling the boat along.
Yeah but only having one arm didn't limit his wife-beating abilities. Fuck Rick Allen.
@@burntvirtue Something that happened 25 years ago!!
I'm not excusing it by any means, but seeing as he hasn't touched alcohol since I'd be tempted to say he learned a lesson and changed his behaviour, wouldn't you?
#DefLeppard Lady Strange and Mirror, Mirror off the same album, High n Dry. Talk about a rock and roll album! This Album I think is Steve Clark at his best.
Def Leppard year’s with Steve Clark were the best songs written by the band. When Steve passed on, the song writing was never the same. Rock In Peace Steve 🙏
#Tesla Song and Emotion was written about Steve. Beautiful song. Indy ,In.
Raul I feel that. Steve Clark always brought cool riffs, solos & arrangements...RIP Steve
I miss Steve, what a shame! God only knows what kind of music he had in store for us! Substance abuse is a bitch! Thanks for the music that lives on! Steve, Rip!
Raul , you are absolutely right. The difference was obvious, still they made some pretty decent albums after. But the Steve Clark albums are by far the best.
Pete Willis was awesome too. Part of the chemistry.
High-n-Dry was their 2nd album, On Through the Night being their 1st.
The video for this song, thanks to MTV (when they actually played music videos), was what got me into rock, and then metal. Keep up the good work Rich-n-Kel!
@paco acosta Eps aren't considered albums
tipigi I was gonna comment when I heard him say that also. It’s also titled Bringin’ on the Heartbreak but we know what the song was when we read the video title
High-N-Dry is their best album by FAR.
Love this song. This song came out when I was in high school. Miss the 80’s.
Let It Go from the High and Dry album is by far their best tune. If you disagree, well you're just wrong. ;-)
That songs amazing but I wouldn’t say it’s their best
The song is "Bringing On The Heartbreak" ( not Heartache ). It's actually off of their 2nd album. Their 1st album was " On Through The Night ". Love your channel! Keep on rocking!
Rich, totally agree with you, it was my intro to the band and it has held up as my favorite song of theirs. I was in a Water-slideathon, it was like 2 in the morning and the night dj played this song. I was blown away. Still love it, and thanks for sharing!
Just inducted into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame! The show will be on HBO later this month. I'll be seeing them in Vegas in September! They still kill in concert! Kel, you looked like you were having a tough time with the first minute of the song?
I’ve been fortunate to have seen this band 4 times since 2012. Didn’t have money back in the day for concerts lol! They’re still awesome! Love this!
I agree about this being a favourite. I think "Foolin" is pretty close or tied for favourite.
There was a remix version of this song where they added keyboards to the mix during the chorus, when they did a reissue of the High and Dry album. Phil Collen is shown in this video, even though it was Pete Willis who played this song originally ( Pete was on the albums On Thru The Night and High and Dry). Great song from a great band ! Just to point out High and Dry was Def Leppard's second album. On Thru the Night was their first.
what I love about them is I seen their life story and after the drummer lost his arm the band stopped playing in respect for him. he did come back and I don't know what they would have done if he never came back, what class.💚
Ahhhh early #defleppard. Loved your presentation of this classic. That whole #highanddry albulm is wicked good. Gotta listen to the full albulm version with the next song.
Yep, "Switch 625" (instrumental), the next song is awesome. I can't listen to this song without letting it play through all the way, as it flows into it without any break in between.
This one of my moms fave bands. Shes 63 and still jams to Def Leppard. One cool mom.
Right on!!!!
Oh yeah! Let your spirit go back in time n embrace raw music...tis a gift to be appreciated for generations to comment on!
Love this early Def Leppard. High n Dry, Pyromania...awesome. Hysteria was ok but can’t beat the old school stuff.
Stephen Parkinson c'est pas le groupe ou le batteur est amputé d'un bras?!?
Fabien Ricous As the song by The Bloodhound Gang says, “The drummer from Def Leppard’s only got one arm’. He had an arm amputated after a car accident between the Pyromania and Hysteria albums.
@@fabiendemarseille Oui, c'est vrai. 3 ans apres cette video.
Rich rich rich... You cut off switch 625. Are you kidding me!!!??? ☹️
that video doesn't go into switch.... it ends there... unfortanately.... even more odd is the fact that they did ANOTHER video for this song with Phil on guitar as opposed to the original with Pete....
It was the official video though, so no Switch 625.
My favorite Def Leppard song! I think I was 15 when it came out, loved it immediately!
My late brother is Rich's age, and he got me into alot of music. I was 8 and Def Leppard was my first rock band. It's great they're still together.
wOw u were 10-11. i got this cassette tape in my Christmas stocking when i was 16 yrs. old, Def Leppard had just releasing it that November of 1983. cool song. beautiful reaction. keep-a-rockin guys. bless you both. much peace and lots of love. big shoutout from this old, longhaired, Southern boy in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. See you's two on the next.
Great pick Rich and another great video guys. Classic Melodic Hard Rock is another treasure trove for you guys to discover. As for your subscription growth, it's a testament to the chemistry and sincerity that is shown in every video. You spoke about dreams, well here's a great Melodic Hard Rock ballad from the early 90s. #Firehouse Hold The Dream Melbourne Australia.
Awesome reaction! This took me back in time! I was just starting high school when I discovered Def Leppard! Too late for love is my absolute favorite!
Riding in my dad's 87 Ford lariat when I was young. Another great banger.
This was the first cassette tape I bought with my own $ when I switched from records to cassettes as a kid.ive always been a closet Def Leppard fan. Just great music.
Just so you know your sound quality is still really great . Keep up the awesome reactions.

They were the heroes of the cool riff and the epic chorus.
I first heard Def Leppard with Pyromania when I was a senior in high school, but I liked them so much that I went and bought this earlier one, on vinyl, and recorded it to cassette so I could listen to it on my imitation Walkman as I walked to classes as a college Freshman. I even remember listening to this one during the all day ordeal of Drop/Add, done with punch cards, and how much easier it was the next year when you could do it in the office of your Faculty Advisor on his computer terminal. If course, now it's even easier because you could do it from about anywhere online. College kids these days don't know how easy they have it, and how archaic their parents had it. Just think...punch cards! In an auditorium. An all day process.
Let her experience every song she can off of Def Leppard High N Dry. It is their best and most underrated album. It is their hardest rocking album. It is critically acclaimed among guitar players. It's the album before Pyromania when few Americans even knew who they were. A real hidden gem of rock and roll. They also released videos for the songs Let it go and Saturday Night High N Dry.
such a classic great song! funny but TRUE story... as a kid in the early 80s we had one of those big and tall home standing stereos and i would plug in those huge headphones with the huge chord and jump around to Def Leppard in my whitey tighties 😂😂😂
This is a class song. The key change makes it that way. First time hearing it was their concert. Somehow it passed me by before that. If only they could foresee the heartache ahead with Rick and Steve.
I have the lyrics " A broken rose with laughing eyes" tattooed on my arm . My favorite Def Leppard song. Great song choice.
I could totally see Rich flashing back to a summer night with a warm breeze.
They are now in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
Lol,I was on a Def Leppard kick today.I listened to my 2 favorite albums by them High n Dry and Pyromania
My 2 favs as well. :)
#DefLeppard - Love Bites (Kitchener, Ontario, Canada) (I know it's a ballad, but the harmonizing is incredible!!)
LOVE this piece, always have! This was proof that Joe really did have an amazing voice!! This album through to Hysteria (which was my first foray into the Leppard - AMAZING album) were an incredible run! Their harmonies were just plain awesome!!
I got into Def Leppard about 87. Hysteria album was the first one I heard and that was about the height of their best era. You gotta appreciate their contribution to rock.
My favorite Def Leppard song! How about #defleppard “Die Hard the Hunter”? 🤟
The "live in the round '88" version got killer!
That one is underrated, seriously.
This is class!!
If only they could foresee the heartbreak in the years to come.
my dad is 72 and he even loves this great song...rock on...
Def Leppard has been my all time favorite band. Love their sound, the fact that all members can sing, their songwriting is still unmatched, their lyrics have meaning, and best of all, they have tons of fun when they play live. Just an awesome band all around, their songs aren't missing a damn thing! Great choice. 😊❤👍👍
This was like their best album, closely followed by Pyromania...
hysteria I thought brought them to the forefront as rock n rollers
Great pick Rich, and Kel's reaction to it was awesome!
This was a great album, love love love it.
photograph, too late for love, foolin'... great df cuts
\m/
I think my second comment ever here was asking for Def Leppard! I KNEW! YOU WERE A FAN. ❤️
TOO LATE FOR LOVE!!!!!!!
Sorry for skipping protocol.
😂😂😂😂
Agreed, +1 for #DefLeppard TooLateForLove (InTheRoundInYourFace1988) Arkansas! Some sweet, sweet s(*&- ua-cam.com/video/Ab57LN9c1x0/v-deo.html
@@tatemitchell5020 (Live In The Round '88) from "Hysteria Tour" is the best performance live by Def Leppard.
Love and hate collide and love bites get me emotionally every time.
Def Leppard is one of my absolute favorite bands.
I'm still amazed at how "The Thunder God" plays the drums with one arm
That's what makes Rick Allen AWESOME !! Of course, this was before the car accident on December 31 1984. If you want to see Rick Allen after his car accident, I believe you have to go to the Hysteria album and beyond
Masterpiece! I also like Hysteria, Adrenalize and Retroactive, but the first 3 albums are amazing!
There was two versions made in 1982 and 1984,the first one made Live by MGMM video and the second one directed by the same one who did Photograph David Mallet.
This is the "re-video" with Phil Collen - the recording and original video had Pete Willis
Yeah, but fuck Pete Willis. He was a dickbag.
Great song! To me, their first 2 LP's were their best. Harder-edged songs than the rest of their catalog. I was lucky to see them in Boston for the Aug. 2, 1980 Judas Priest ('British Steel') & Scorpions ('Animal Magnetism') tour. We had great seats in the balcony 1st-row overlooking the stage. Excellent show!!
Bringin' on the heartbreak, I watch the video 1984..
My favorite album of theirs. Young and raw before they went from a more hard guitar sound to their more harmony based sound later on
Me too. Not a bad song on it and a couple of underrated ones like Lad Strange and Mirror Mirror.
Was never a huge fan but did see them live in 88 and I love this song!
Rich, I was about 16 or 17 when this song came out. It is kinda weird seeing drummer, Rick Allen playing with both arms & hands prior to his car accident that took one of his arms. Def Leppard had custom built specific for his impairment or empowerment in his and band's eyes. Sad that Steve Clark died unexpectant. Even his replacement, Vivian Campbell battled cancer. I have seen DL live in concert in West Palm Beach with some friends.....they rocked!!
You guys have such a special relationship, it’s so evident...it’s true love. 👍👍👍
One of my favorite bands! I grew up listening to Pyromania and Hysteria.
Something totally different but excellent song!

Cheers!

Producer, Mutt Lange. It was recently discovered that he secretly lended a lot of help to vocals. This is why, in particular, Joe Elliot and Shania Twain would leave fans scratching their heads during live performances.
Nice reaction and thoughts on this song. One of my favorite from this band.
I haven't seen alot lately but always enjoy your vibes.
Gracias and best wishes to u both! 😎👍
NEED MORE VIDEOS GUYS !!!
In 1981, when I was young airman serving overseas, in Spain, I went with a couple of friends to a concert. The way that they did their band presentation back then, unlike in the United States, was to have the headliner come out first, and the other less well-known bands come out there after. We saw Richie Blackmore’s rainbow, followed by UFO, and the closer was, surprise surprise, Def Leppard. They had not yet made their debut in the United States. I thought they were good then, and my suspicions were verified in the following years. Classic 80s rock. Love it.
All the songs off of high and dry are great but the five best ones are bringing on the heartbreak, let it Go, Hit and run, Saturday night high and dry, and mirror mirror. You got me running is also a great song. It's just a fantastic album and it's the album before they got popular in the United States. It's their hardest rocking record and it is a true gem that will leave your ears bleeding and begging for mercy by the time the last song ends. It's what real rock and roll is supposed to be about... RAW! They were just 19 year old kids when they recorded it in 1981
Greetings from the UK!
Huge Def Leppard fan ✊
First time I heard this song it was about 1987 & I was 12 years old.
Already huge fan of Hysteria & Pyromania.
Fave song of High n Dry for me was Mirror Mirror.
This is from their second album, the first album was on through the night
this is actually the second version of the video, released around 1984. The original featured Pete Willis, in this one you can clearly see Phil on the guitar.
This video of Heartbreak is of the remixed, or the 2nd version. The 1st version was recorded for Leppard’s 2nd album High N Dry. That track is paired with an amazing guitar solo by the late Steve Clark called “Switch 625”. Many radio stations have played both tunes back to back as if they are one song. When Leppard made their 3rd album, Pyromania; and it became a smash, they chose to re-release High N Dry; with two new tracks. One of the new tracks was the remix of Heartbreak; which has a keyboard sound to it. That video you reacted was for the remix.
I do hope you’ll look for that original version with “Switch 625”. It’s considered a classic.
Gotta live def ledppard one of my child hood favos especially this one and foolin is my favorites these songs has a lot of meaning for me love def leppard
It’s actually Bringin’ On The Hesrtbreak. I like watching you guys.
Finally someone says it
@@xBobby_87x yeah. It’s really weird.
Wow, this was before Rick Allen lost his arm. Great video!
yes! i remember that
They obviously made this video after Pete Willis left the band, and Phil Collen joined. Their original video for this song showed the band, with Pete, on a stage, simply playing the song (they also did videos for "High 'n' Dry", and "Let it Go" in the same on stage style).
I can remember this one kid who thought he was tough because he listened to heavy metal music at the time and wore bandanas and denim. He bawled like a baby about the accident.
It was so hard to pick a song where I could place a special request!!! How could I not pick a Def Leppard ballad? Every teenager of the 80's love song! The song I'm suggesting, no, begging for, could be a nice Kel-n-Rich both first time reaction since this song is quite unknown by many. By the great guitar master Ronnie Montrose.(RIP) For the love of a GIbson Les Paul, please do a first time reaction of Ronnie Montrose's "Blood Alley" from the instrumental album Guitar Speak II. The musical arrangement is awesome. Pretty pleaaaseee.
I once sat at a GORGEOUS woman's house while she slept in the wee hours of a 'special night' in 1990 and watched MTV "Blocks".
I'll not forget this video of 3 played by Lep.
'Hysteria' and 'Photograph' the other 2.
These boys brought the rock in those days with Pyromania and On Through the Night.
Thank u Meghan...
Wherever u are today!
😎😚💖💖
My favourite Def Leppard song
On through the night and High and Dry are still my favorite albums.🤘✌💣💥🍁
I was a very high developed 10 year old thank you....lol
great pick rich !! takes me back a while to my pre prog\heavy metal years where i thought glam was the only way to go. this british band went on to sell over 100 milion albums world wide and also went strong in the us in the 80s . this was probably their first hit back in 81' i believe .
Great song 😍 On my desert island pick too 😁 You both ROCK 💕💕💕
The second one was made in a biscuit factory (This one) and remixed which this one is not it uses the original 1983 music. This was before the tragic crash The drummer had which had him lose his right arm.
Great song ,nice to see people happy and in love .stuart
All their albums are great but Hysteria brings back so many great memories
This is their 2nd album. On through the night was their first.
Search here for (Rockcandy Live In Toronto 1988). Phil Collen of Def Leppard joins the band for one song! Enjoy the show!!!
Rock and roll will never Die
One of my first hard rock bands... Back when bands like Metallica scared me 😆
I have a love/hate relationship with this song, When I was kid it was one of my absolute favorite songs, when I got older and started dating, It's been seemingly prophetic, can't tell you how many times I randomly heard this song right before a break up, got to where if I heard it, I'd start to wonder and sure enough. Seems kinda weird but a true story.
#metalchicpic def leppard die hard the Hunter , let's get rocked
Love that song" it hits me right on the heart great choice, it would be magical if there's a chance you could play nazareth love hurts , it's a beautiful song for couples, thank you guys don't know how much I enjoy your videos
If I'm not mistaken, Butch Vig had a big hand in their powerful wall of sound. Underrated tightass band
Should have done in the round version of this song. Gods of was in the round. Steve is amazing.
I like that Kel will close here eyes and take the sound in. A video can sometimes add or take away from a song. I'm a big Def Leppard fan, one of the better big hair bands.
I can’t believe Kel has never heard this song before. I’ve listening to it at places I’ve work or in stores where I’ve shopped for over thirty years.
Looks like I’ve been shopping in all the wrong places because I’ve never heard it being played over the loudspeaker anywhere that I have shopped! It’s one of the neatest things about doing this together is that I’ll ask her if she’s heard a song that I am almost positive that she had to have heard, but alas, she hasn’t and we are good to go! Rich
Kel-n-Rich oh well, anyway I enjoy watching your reactions! Keep up the good work
#greatwhite House of Broken Love Seattle Huge metal hit from the late 80s. Everyone whose heard it loves it.
Wicked good stuff. Met them at a record store during their first US tour. Check out the debut On Through the Night for a more raw NWOBHM sound \m/
my fav Def Leppard song
High and Dry was their 2nd album. On through the night was their 1st.
#DefLeppard Rock Brigade is one of their earliest and best imo.
Rock Rock til you drop is bad ass, a must listen
