Very helpful and my misaligned clippers now fixed. Took a bit of searching; perhaps 'alignment' would be good in the title. But you've just saved me a few quid, so most grateful.
Still a great video in 2024 because I got a crooked cutting blade on my lo pro fxone. This tip got me the help I needed and it cuts so smooth with the MIM blade. Thank you so much. Blessings!
hi, for sum reason whenever im holding down the top blade while screwing in the the 2 screws, it looks zero gapped. but then when im finished screwing, and release my fingers from the top blade, the blades shift back, causing it not to be zero gapped
Clippers and trimmers of the fx series - YES you can ! And you can also use the same one for double head foil shaver if you turn it the right direction :D

i have a similar issue, when I set it and go to tighten it, the right side moves up. I found kinda a kind of solution, so first tighten down the lever screw real nice, then while setting the main static blade, hold your thumb on the left edge while tightening the screws, it offsets the torque force of the screw by a lil bit. Lmk if it helped
Yeah i have it cutting blade set half way just so I can use it. When I have it set like that the middle of the cutting blade stays in the middle but the corners are zero gapped. Hard to explain lol
My Silver Fx is making loud noise when full open i fix the plastic cutting blade brand new is very quiet in all other levels only in the las one please help me dont fine nothing in UA-cam
dropping the tools can really ruin the product. Its like dropping a camera. YIKES. Try to take the blades a apart, clean and re align it all. Spray some disinfectant and see what happens.
How come my slider looks different from yours? And I noticed that my last part of silver fx’s that the slider was different and the right side of the slider kept moving up and down which moved the cutting blade to over lap the static blade
@@alexthabarber8216 I noticed that one side of the bracket was looser than the other. So I took off the bracket and bent the loose side in a bit more and it worked
Hey Sofie, my GOLDFX became noisier when I zero gapped them. It got louder when I have guards on them. Have you any idea whats the problem? Really appreciate your help and love your content! ♥️
Sofie, I did exactly what you did but I was shocked much larger the stationary clipper blade clearance holes were than the machine screws used to attach the stationary clipper blade - too much slop!!! I've looked at other clipper designs and those had a similar setup - I just don't get it. I was also shocked, and as you pointed out, that tightening the screws could mess up the alignment as well - again terrible design. Tightening the screws SHOULD NEVER be allowed to change the alignment of the mated parts.
I’m having a problem with my protege gammas after I attempted to zero gap. When opening and closing blade doesn’t open evenly. Even when closing. Everything is tightened down evenly I switched brackets and that helped but it still doesn’t come open evenly completely

Can you charge your fx clippers and trimmers with the same wire ?
Clippers and trimmers of the fx series - YES you can ! And you can also use the same one for double head foil shaver if you turn it the right direction :D
Could this be why my clippers are pulling/snagging hair? No matter how much I oil them they still pull hair and leave bald patches.

not sure what clipper that is...but some brands have certain ones..that you can't even gap at all. :(
did you manage to fix it in anyway?
