I even caught myself watches a few online streamings race F1 games and I have a good time watching that as well. Want to start playing myself to hopefully learn more about the rules and the way things work .

23 races means 23 race wins are up for grabs. Each win gives you 25 points, and whoever has the most points by the end of the season is crowned as World Champion. Lewis have won the world championship 7 times, not race wins.
You forgot to mention a very important part of the blue flag, what kind of explanation are you doing here? During race blue flag is shown to a driver that has already been lapped by the approaching faster driver. No one is shown blue just because they're slower.
In case the race marshalls need to be on the track for a certain length of time or the weather conditions are bad enough the Safety Car is deployed. When the Safety Car is deployed all drivers cannot go under a predetermined lap time and line up behind the Safty Car, also when a Safety Car is out overtaking is prohibited. Once all cars are line up behind the Safety Car the vehicle will go into the pits and the drivers will continue to start another lap a reduced speed. Once the driver in first has started another lap the drivers are allowed to resume racing

Yes, 305km should be divided by the lap distance, 7.004 km in the case of Spa Francorshamps, that's why it has 43 laps.

In F1 red flag means race restart. Usually due to a bad accident. If your a driver and you get black flag your kicked out of the race.
Red flag doesnt mean race restart it means session stopped
