They were in Paris for an extended stay playing L'Olympia Theatre for 2 1/2 weeks. This is just days before their first trip to America. I wonder if that one painting that George added a bit of paint to sold for more due to his "participation". Really nice images and too bad this kind of interaction with the public was soon to end for The Beatles.
George said in the Anthology documentary, when they toured France right before the trip to America, he noticed there was mainly boys and young men in the crowds screaming, not that many girls. He said it was one of the most bizarre, weirdest things he saw.
