Soo Special. My dad took me to see them front row. It was such a magical night. I am so thankful. Every song on the album is amazing! Along with Gypsy and Heartsfield, he has taught me some of the most underground treasures known. I'm now trying to get him on the Billy Strings bandwagon :)
WoW! How did I miss this one? It's Aug2019 and this is the first time seeing this. Whoever saw this show got to see a Great One. Been listening to this song on youtube for years. At least once a month. Not to mention this song got tremendous airplay for years where I grew up.
this is in my book one of the best groups from the 70s i recently wrote the lyrics of you are the woman and sent it to the woman i love she was very moved by it
The sound / video quality might be lacking for most, and they may be missing folks from the past, but I am glad somebody else has video of this underrated group. "An Evening With Firefall" may be a better choice for some? There is a DVD on the auction sites that is from a concert in Tennessee. Not sure if it has been uploaded or not? Rock 'n' Roll Greats - Firefall on DVD.. Thank you Israel!!
INCREDIBLE. U TUBERS ,SHAME, SHAME, ONLY 34,129 VIEWS. WTF?. THE FLUTE & BASS (DAVE MUSE?)GUYS R OUT OF THIS WORLD, ALONG W/ JOCK, RICK ROBERTS?OR LARRY BURNETT?. SHOULD BE OVER 100 MILLION
STILL ROCKIN' ON STRONG AS EVER(THE ORIGINAL IS "PHENOMENAL":HAD TO LIGHT UP THE SKY AGAIN . "STRANGEWAY" IS SO "HAUNTING, EMOTING FEELINGS OF LOVE, LOSS & FANTASY.{FLUTIST + GUITARIST(JOCK BARTLEY & BASSIST{DAVID MUSE?} BLEND W/RICK ROBERTS/LARRY BURNETT'S SINGING " DEEP, MEANINGFUL LYRICS}. "FIREFALL" BELONGS ON "ROLLING STONE'S TOP "10" BANDS OF ALL TIME>{IMOHO}
When you've got a song with such a great beat and chord progression, you can't blame them for not wanting to quit after 4 minutes! I miss the strings/keys from the original, though. Still impressive!
I wonder if these guys remember opening the outdoor Sunday Break in Austin, Texas in 1976 with England Dan and John Ford Coley next, then Santana and Fleetwood Mac and Chicago. Corner of I-35 and 290 East to Houston???????
fantastic musicians, and oh so soulful, full of meaning song, great voices too, sadly, the sound board and/or sound system suffered, other performances ,earkier & later on(st, pete college, showcase akk voices & musical talent.
You are looking at Steven Weinmeister. He is the third lead singer to sing that song. He was in the band for 20 years. The original lead singer (and co-founder) of the band was Rick Roberts. He left the band. In came Johnne Sambataro. He left too after a few years. The current lead singer (the fourth) is Gary Jones (Weinmeister left FIREFALL in 2015). Cheers, Dave.
One of the best songs of 1978
Takes me back to the 70s when I was a kid so lyrically perfect nothing today comes even close real music

David Muse is so damn good…..!!!
The two guys in front playing guitar and David Muse are the originals on this song, and it really gives it a good vibe.
Love it!!!
You can take a look at the link to the web site in the description above. That is the drummers Foundation that this concert was for. Thanks

Bass player was on point flute too
Original members, along with electric guitarist! David Muse, Jock Bartley, Mark Andes.
@cocarr1 Jock and David were the only originals in this show- Bil( correct spelling, btw) Hopkins on bass.
Sandy Ficca was kicking the hell out of it back there too !!
this is not the original line up ..
Cover band my ass perfectly played drummer bad ass and the rest perfect
I hate it when bands change the song.
will be nice...but ??
Another prime example old folks don't belong on a rock n roll stage KISS best example just bow out gracefully
is that the original singer?
who is it ?

never knew (thx)
scissors65 Weinmeister now sings with a Colorado Eagles tribute band The Long Run.
Saw them last week end with Pure Prairie League in Reading Pa.
Rehashed, rehash. Better just see a club tribute band.
