  • Hi Guys,
The Vlog Series are based on socials, reviews of products I personally own and mods I've done to my bike - Honda CB1000R neo sports cafe.
On this episode I'm revealing the biggest or more drastic mod I've done on my motorcycle so far - clip ons conversion - this has been a long dream of mine and now it has been materialised!
Let me know what you think on the comments below!
    Hope you all enjoy it!

It looks great, and I really like how clean it looks, all cables almost not visible. But in my honest opinion the original handle bar holders the top plate should be removed. And I wonder if this is as comfortable for long rides, longest on a single day I have done on the CB1000R is 1300km (800 miles) and I would be afraid it would kill you back.
But I agree, your bike is one of the best looking CB1000R's that I have seen!

Hi Jeroen! I agree, I want to remove the handlebar holders, but worried about compromising the strength of the top yoke, might have to go for a custom one.
In regards to comfort in long rides, I thought long and hard, but in the end, the only way to complete my project was to add the clip ons. It won’t be comfortable for sure, but what I can tell you is that is a lot of fun!
Thank you so much for the continuous support, I appreciate you 🙏🏾

I'm going to take a guess and say that you're thinking about a bottom fairing as your last mod?

Spot on!!! I actually already got it, but need to get it painted, hopefully have it fitted soon. Now can you guess which belly pan?

*Kawasaki Z900RS Café.* The Honda CB1000R (not including yours) and Yamaha XSR900 have stopped trying to be retro café racers.

It’s a new take on café races, I do like all of them to be quite honest, especially the Z900RS. Thanks for the support 🙏🏾

I will soon install some semi-handlebars on mine, I already have the original seatpost modified by eliminating the towers, but the angle I see on yours is too straight for my taste, do you think I can give it another type of more pronounced downward angle, ? I suppose that by installing higher semi-handlebars from the clamp on the seatpost I will be able to, greetings.

Hey Gus, did eliminating the towers compromise the strength of the top yoke? How is it looking? Curious to see how you’ve done it, you got a YT channel?? Or Instagram?
I would need to get the touring handlebar holders to make it going downwards a bit more, but worried it would hit the tank. Plus, not sure if it would still look as sleek as it does at the moment. Thanks for the support 🙏🏾

I am not an expert and I do not know about engineering, but I believe that all the adjustment and loading work is done by the lower seatpost, the upper seatpost suffers less and there are countless die-cut seatposts on different motorcycles.

What is the maximum height or can it be given to that semi-handlebar?

    • @v79moto
      @v79moto  5 місяців тому +1

Height is not adjustable on mine, as I went for the sports version. If you go for the touring option you will have more play in terms of height. Hope this helps. 🙏🏾💪🏾
