- During one of my Grand Slam Stygian attempts, Death finally appeared. I doubt she was counting on Bounty Hunter being there though. "BH isn't worth the candles!" they yelled at me.

The first time I faced Death, I lost my plague doctor
But I wasn't even angry, I was impressed to see her appear again
Tho I ended my run after I got to the inn, I liked that encounter
Watching this was more stressful than my entire shift at the hospital after memorial day weekend. Goodness gracious.

Just yesterday while running Vestal my team was wiped out except her. And when she reached deaths door she heals and passively heals, she was in rank 1... so she didnt deal dmg and the game was pretty much cycling through heals. Abandoned the expedition after that😅
Sucks when that happens. Had an Occultist In the same situation, he could only just heal.

I've been using all of the characters recently to learn and upgrade them. Before ever taking the Flagellant to a Hero Shrine, Death showed up and scared the ever loving shit out of me. Nearly wiped my run.

Hey Shuffle don't know if you already talked about that in your videos but what is your opinion about death? i think she's to strong when she's ordained. she's easily THE endgame sentence most of times she spawns in my experience so far.
She's really dangerous. Helps to have 1 or 2 sources of taunt and guard on the team so she can't hit the combos.

@shufflefm would be great to see a full deathless challenge from denial to cowardice with the same 4 characters unlocking memories going through. Have you already done it and i missed it?

Nice kill btw, I've put like 35+ hours in to this game and I've never met Death... pretty cool... I just wish I could fight Death since it would actually be new content outside the same fights I've done for 35 hours.
Why would anyone mention candles in a run like this btw?
Seeing the video description, I don't get it, you've run out of purposes to use candles for long ago have you not? Is there some other use I'll be getting out of this mountain of candles eventually?
Just to make sure, are you using the Flagellant in your party? Death will only ever appear if he is in your party.

I'm just hating on the game unfairly, I don't feel like it lived up to the original pitch the devs gave
@repyukJC The more I played the more the game grew on me personally. Though if you liked the hero management of DD1 it's totally reasonable you'd find DD2 underwhelming. To me the combat of DD2 is almost entirely an improvement over DD1, which was my favorite part of DD1.
Granted I do wish there was a bit more content overall. I put 50hrs in the game and beat it and didn't feel theres a ton left for me to do, whereas I have around 250hrs in DD1
@BisexualActs1 I think the combat is the only good part of dd2. Everything outside of the combat, is an engine for the combat. And everything outside of the combat is awful. The combat also suffers due to a startling lack of variety.
I think there was a lack of variety in dd1 but it was (seemingly) masked way better by it's systems.
I'm glad and frankly astounded that the combat felt better and better for you the more you played. For me I had a rising excitement for the new combat system the more I played it, but it kept being dashed by slow sluggish non combat gameplay. The combat starts to drag too since enemies are sometimes so complicated that they spend ages taking their turns. NOT USUALLY a problem but again there is so much repeat content it drags like crazy

So what makes her spawn? I’ve seen her once in probably 30+ run attempts.
Flagellant needs to be in the party and then it's about a 6% chance to spawn at a resistance node. That's it lol

@@ShuffleFM I was in the Sprawl when I saw her the first time. I hadn't even completed Flagellants storyline yet so I had no idea this would even happen. Fortunately I won my first time without losing anyone and got the achievement.
