" Oh wow!. I got THE job at Nerdrosoft for their 2d team. And I don't even have a specialization! I can't wait to tell my family and friends about the prestigious career that I've dreamed about since I was a kid. Thank you @Nerdrosoft, im sure that I will be here for a LONG TIME! See you in the office tomorrow for my FIRST DAY. Oh LOOK, Im getting a call from my hiring manager Right Now, Probably to congratulate me. "
Joined late but it was great to binge the series over the past few hours! Just wanted to add to what the other people explained about the market saturation, although it looks like you have it basically figured out - When you go to create a new product, don't select features until you reach the balance screen, then apply the market saturation and adjust features so that the red, green and blue bars on the left match as well with the red, green and blue lines as well as possible (you can hover over features to see what they contribute to). That way, you create as perfect a product for the market as possible, then after that you can use the auto-balance if you couldn't match perfectly to reach 100% interest, and only after that add (but don't remove) any other features you want to have in the product. With that three-step process your products will always be almost perfect for the market while having the features you want and wasting as little interest as possible. Cheers! And happy vacation
Set your marketing team to working on the lvl 3 press release as soon as you go into alpha. Then let it sit there until you get halfway to beta. Then release it, release a press build, start a hype, and then start working on a second level 3 press release that you can release when you enter beta. I typically do another press build then, too. Also, please note that 11/9 means you have 11 programmers and only need 9... so you do, in fact, have enough programmers LOL
I don’t know if you can, but when you build your own building I think it would be cool to put all the awards in the lobby. I know that negates the benefit of the awards, but it’d be cool all the same
I don't understand the idea of having a " core team " yet also having teams specific to a certain type of project. You have a 2-D team, you have a support team etc, but what is a core team. What do they do if they do not do something specific? I'd suggest getting rid of the name and making teams based on what they work on. At the very least the core team should be renamed to programming team.
most of the other series have had a core team at the start that is just something to split them from support and marketing then it gets renamed later. Usually once there are multiple projects in the works he ends up with a couple of Game Teams, 2D Team, 3D Team, Audio Team, Marketing/Support Team and Hardware Team.
Perfectly timed video, just home and settled down I always give my marketing team a 200k budget to ensure prominent marketing Awards decay overtime, that where the old one went I think you should get your many teams collaborating on more projects Love your videos Dylan, you are back to your best
Dylan instead of making a team for every product you should try buy out some companies so they can work on it for you. Tip they need to be specialized in the thing you want them to work on or they are NOT going to work on it. After you make them a subsidiary you go to the design new product tap and there will be a tap where you subsidiary comes up as a option you chose them and they will then work on it. It will show up in their subsidiary tap under companies. Good companies to own is Os companies, 2d, office and 3d.
This series has made me _really_ want to play Software Inc myself too...maybe one day! Currently in a Jurassic World Evolution dinosaur sized hole thanks to binging your old series on that! 😂 It's been super interesting watching this series though & watching you play it for the first time! Don't know what I was expecting from Software Inc, but watching you play has been amazing!
He needs to remove the couches and add bookshelves to his 2d team rooms. His effectiveness in the rooms are -10%. Unless he adds two bookshelves he is making his team 10% slower.
When you move to another establishment, do a review of all your teams in great detail because it's all mixed up for what you put in, the projects you put in the Core team, 2D team, Audio,.... They're all underloaded because the team isn't well organized and you don't pay attention to that. Also look when you go to hire someone, you see all the people because you don't know if there are better or not, you have passed a lot of things to the side when you could be doing much better
Day 1 Challenge request: hardware only run (you have one or two years to make as much money anyway and then your only allowed to do hardware (you can do contracts if absolutely needed)
This is coming from a fan so please don't take this the wrong way. It seems like every playthrough you do it is exactly as it was in the previous series. This isn't a major complaint or issue. I'll be watching regardless. But all I wanna see from you is something different. Like when you said you wanted to make a console exclusive company. That sounded fun and would love to see it. But previous records show you will finish this series, wait a year and play again doing the same thing.
Why don't you market your products from the get-go while it's still in design? I can't help but notice the glaring red flashing Market button. Does it cost you more money in the long run? I'm still trying to understand the game.
Have you considered creating an "update" team - a team you set to do the updates and bug fixes? I see you have some releases with a few hundred bugs, and you just leave them... Wouldn't it be good to fix those bugs and do the updates to get a higher market interest, slow the drop off of sales?
Why don't you assign half of each team or at least a 4th of each team to work evenings. I've never played this game to know if it's efficient or not. But if your running things like support it would make sense to have at least a few of them there overnight. Or maybe just a night shift in general.
While you can make their workdays as long as you wish, they loose ability and gain unhappiness after 8. You can, however, make 2 or even 3 shifts [8a-4p, 4p-12a,and 12a-8a.] Doing this will double (or triple with 3 shifts) your company's speed in accomplishing tasks.
As I’m sure you know you could do a lot of contract work to get your reputation up. I think it’s sort of cheesy though at least in earlier versions of the game.
I am writing this when it's less than half of the video watched, but has he set any employee benefits yet whatsoever? Also, Dylan, it would be helpful if you chose a leader that is inspired and has full creativity for your big projects....

I got the job as the Server-room Security Guard. It might be -10 degrees inside, but at least it's not -20.
Meanwhile Dylan: YOU'RE FIRED
That poor security guard having to sit at their station in the server room at 10° below freezing
oh hell naw 💀💀💀
I was just about to post this :D Poor guy!
You forgot to assign Kingdoom VI to the core team which is why you cant set yourself as the leader!
Bro is on vacation 😮
"It's NOT Kingdoom VII!" *releases Queendoom*
Ahhh, you should definitely name your OS to NerdrOSoft!

There's nothing like watching dylan do nerd stuff after a bad day
I'm disappointed Kindoom IV didn't do better
Kingdoom IV: has over 600 bugs not getting patched for more than a year

Can't wait for 15 years later them releasing Kingdoom 7 and Kingdoom Online, and remastered versions of the other 6.
Kingdoom 2016 and Kingdoom Eternal
Crazy to think I got this game in May 2016. What a ride it has been, truly one of the games I love playing the most.
I don’t know if you can, but when you build your own building I think it would be cool to put all the awards in the lobby. I know that negates the benefit of the awards, but it’d be cool all the same
41:45 dylan: "there's no i in team but there is a me" :)

You thinking a games team a software team vector/canvas team with also market and software?

@conflictnerd look at the stocks of the companies, you will see they are worth half a billion because they own portions of the other companies.
you should consider buying into some companies when they start up and are about to release something.
Kingdoom VI really is the Crysis of the Kingdoom series
When you build your own building don’t forget a trophy room

I think you can hire same amount workers and set them to work night time.If it can done super efficient to company..
Really enjoying the series. I've never played the game, but I look forward to these uploads. Thanks!

Design and alpha, send a press release. Beta, send a press build one to two months before release.
I’ve been trying to get the cubicle available, does anyone have any idea wich achievement i need to unlock it?
Live-streaming NerdroSoft construction projects, like the oldtimes, would be well-received Dylan.
Dylan makes more than $30M *profit* for each program, yet refuses to spend more than $25,000 in marketing for each.

Doubling up on the number of staff will get all programs, ports, updates, and hardware out twice as fast.
Make a 2nd shift (4p-12a.)
As I’m sure you know you could do a lot of contract work to get your reputation up. I think it’s sort of cheesy though at least in earlier versions of the game.
Change the vacation time on the team screen so they all don’t go at the same month
Increase the marketing budget so all of your releases can be unavoidable
What's da meaning of unavoidable
Wish we didn’t had to wait two days on these new episodes
Also need to build your own programmer your own program operating system
do that idea you was talking about starting with 100 million ..that will be interesting ...!
loving this series
So Kingdoom is more or less Half Life.
I see
You really need to mix up the work hours and the vacations..
I am writing this when it's less than half of the video watched, but has he set any employee benefits yet whatsoever?

U can make trophy room for trophies 🤣
Yayyyyyyy but I thought you on holiday lol 😅😅
