I am disappointed that you cut it off before the end where Dorothea gives an awesome inspirational message about how she’s been playing drums her whole life, how she’s experienced every one of those examples of stereotyping, and how no one should judge anyone based on their looks.
She also says that all of us drummers are part of the drumming family and that we should always share our drumming passion with the world 😊💯🥁🔥

I’m a grandmother who lost my left leg in an auto accident when I was 30 years old, and during the several months I was in the hospital, I spent more time mentally figuring out how I was going to rig up my Tama hi-hat pedal for my Zildjian hats than I was concerned about adapting to my new physical disability 😁💯🥁🔥

I lost my Tamas to a flooding roof collapse, in the room I had been storing them in several years ago, and ended up trading my circa 1993 Zildjian 8” and 10” Splash cymbals for a basic Alesis electronic drum kit back in 2018 🥺💯😰
I’m completely intimidated by these, being an old school classic rock drummer who has only played acoustic kits for all those years, and I’m having to retrain my brain on the basic Alesis kit.
This old dog’s brain isn’t going quietly though and keeps fighting my efforts 😂 It’s so frustrating trying to get a groove going, only to keep missing the actual drum and cymbal pads and reaching for the non-existent acoustic pieces that are still there in my mind’s eye 😂
