Awesome video looking at this! Would love to see a look at the X-Bit chip. If you ever manage to get one of those old 20+ wire chips, that would be a fantastic chip to look at just for the install alone.

Is that the Enigma? I would love to get my hands on one of those. Someone showed me an og psp modchip recently as well that looks nuts. You had to scrap like 20 traces and wire the modchip up to those. One of the gnarliest installs I've ever seen.
Had the x3 lite on my Xbox back in the day. Blockbuster and ripping games to the hd the good old days.

I wish i kept my og modded xbox so i could of salvaged the xecuter chip, it was a fantastic mod chip back in the day and looking at the community now it would sell to another enthusiast or collector.
Props to you mad men with the talent to solder these jumper wires in place, i remember the guy doing it for my mum (for my birthday when i was 13) for a dominos pizza!
Love videos of xbox mods of the past. I once had a pogo pin mod (xodus matrix?) and that thing came loose so often that I ended up soldering it in from the top of the chip and covering the pogo pins. Never had issue after that. It's currently in a box somewhere as I have TSOP flashed systems now with openxenium that I can move back and forth if needed (kept d0 wire attached on both systems). Had an xtender too or still do in my toolbox with my irons.
My fav chip too. I still have the x3 purple and have 2.6 Ce. Unfortunately I was unable to get the complete lcd bios selection bundle at the time since it sold out at the time. Looking forward what project you have for these chips. Cheers. Happy holiday!

i still dont get it up to today why this chip is the holy grail. i was deep into the scene and even today am. had a lot of chips and consoles going through my hands. there was never a usecase for the x3 functions. an aladdin with a custom lcd or a smartxx was always good enough.
Only a specific aladdin supports lcds. Smartxx is a very sick chip as well though

Still got my Xecuter X3, the purple one. I just switched the HDD for a 750GB SATA. I thought about putting on Cerbios for fun.
I have a Project Stellar w/ XboxHD+ v2 coming, but it looks Like I'm waiting until February. I might seek professional help having that installed and a 128MB upgrade.

Great stuff! I found a 1.0 with an X-BIT 1.5 and found the software on Wayback but I can't connect to it. Tried it on my old WinXP machine to no avail. I have to fix the machine it came out of but I'll report back if it works or not

I have one of the Xecuter 3ce chips in my Xbox. I have a 1.6 xbox, and it’s video quality with an hdmi adapter or the monster component cable looks shakey and crappy. Any recommendations to fix it? I would love to install the hdmi mod.
