    Lowkey thought this was cruel until i read up on it and stone crabs can literally just detach their own claws like a lizards tail to escape predators and then they will just regrow their claws. all in all i would say this is pretty green. they continue to live to see another day.

    • @theangel666100
      @theangel666100 7 років тому +135

      Yeah but if we just take their claws, and then they need to detach their claw to escape a predator then theyre fucked

      Bobo Jojo i guess my issue is that i just dont want them to be tortured like most animals. like how sharks have their fins removed. its a horrible mechanisms and they literally cant live without it. >< but at least these crabs have a chance

    • @TheFungi1000

      Yes they grade them, and there are even different types of stone crabs. They are a tougher, stringier meat that’s less flakey. Often they have an iodine flavor as well.
      I tend to like them. I get them for 1/4 the cost of the kings so it’s a good deal to me but it all is what people like.
