Please could you do a video on healthy eating/diet... including eating protein for hair growth, as well as scalp massaging? If you can, that would be great.
I tried Equi Botanics brand before. I’ve tried their Rice Water and Black Seed Oil (loved both products!). I Need to try the DC and Leave-In Conditioner next!
Oh I haven’t tried their rice water. I’ve generally stayed away from anything rice water lol so I may or may not try it. But I love their leave in so much. Currently using it for my kids. Started from 6months 💕
Personally, I use hy wheat protein liquid and add it to my DIY conditioner- every 1-3 months- uisng heat. I also prepoo with oil and plain conditioner overnight before my wash day. Also, I water wash, then use a shampoo and then do deep conditioner with protein...and my tea rinse (with white vinegar) then I rinse with cold water to end- my hair is always super shiny...and soft. I wash my hair evey 1-3 months depending...I definitely do a full recovery treatments for strengthening my hair. Also, me I daily use shea butter on the ends and light oil over it- that's just me.....every lady should develop her own hair schedule.
Can u do more videos on Ayurveda treatments and the importance of it on your hair journey. It can take anyone a step closer to their hair goal. Thank u in advance
This was very informative! Thank you. One question for the Enitan hair protein and conditioner mixture. When you apply the treatment, how long do you leave it on for the duration of the treatment? And do you apply any heat such as a steam cap, etc. Also, do you do a deep moisture conditioning on that same wash day as a protein treatment or separately?
Hi glad you found it useful. I leave it on anything from 20mins to an hour depending on if I’m in a rush or if I get busy. However on the packaging, if I remember correctly you only need to leave it on for 20mins after application. I used to have a steam cap but I no longer do so I do the treatment without it just using my body heat. If you have a steam cap or steamer definitely use it. The whole point of Enitans protein defence is to cut out the 2 step process that ApHogee has for example by giving you protein and moisture in one step. So once you’ve done the protein defence mixed with tresemme conditioner or any conditioner of your choice that does not already contain protein, you do not need another treatment and that’s why I love it really. So after rinsing out the treatment just go straight to moisturising & styling. Hope that helps ☺️
Great video! I only have 2 questions. after a long term protective style should you use a protein deep conditioner or moisture? And how do bonding repair treatments come into play during wash day routine?
I’d definitely go in with a protein treatment cos after all that time the hair will definitely be in need of strengthening. I have never used or even looked into bonding repair but from what I hear it’s for extremely damaged hair and for those who use colour. Other than that I know nothing else lol but will definitely look into it. I see a lot of naturals now complaining about how Olaplex has damaged their hair but I think they probably used it too frequently
How often should you do the moisturizing treatment and the protein treatment if you’re washing your hair multiple times a week? I am swimming, so I wash it every time I go swimming which is around four times a week.
The protein treatment is strictly every 6weeks or 8weeks. So if you wash several times a week you could do only the moisturising treatment once during that week as often as you feel your hair needs it then do the protein treatment every 6 or 8 weeks. I’m not a swimmer so I don’t know how drying the pool can be so definitely use your discretion and also use a clarifying shampoo to make sure you’re properly getting all that chlorine out your hair.
I haven’t used any of her latest products but the reviews are very very good so I’d definitely recommend. The only reason I held out was because I have too many products and trying to use up what I have before buying more 😅
Hi. I have locs and have bought Enitan's moisture products and protein treatment for the first time. My hair is coloured and is due for a retouch. Would you advise me to use the protein treatment before or after the colour retouch? I'm now also keen to try the Tresemne moisture conditioner. Thanks and blessings
I don’t know much about loc care but I know that coloured loose hair in general definitely needs strengthening so based off that, I will assume same will apply to loc hair too. However, it's always best to consult with a professional hairstylist for personalized advice based on your hair type and the specific products you’ve used or will be using. How long have you been colouring your locs? And is this going to be the first time using protein treatment whilst being coloured?
@LimitlessBloom Thanks so much for such a full response, Jemima. I've had locs for 17 years and have coloured them practically from the start. I have cut them 4 times in their duration, having gone from butt length to now shoulder length. I don't colour religiously, but colour always freshens the look. I wish my greys grew in dignified streaks, but they pop up randomly, otherwise I would leave them well alone. My locs are now thinner (mature years!😊), so I just thought that after all this time, a protein treatment might strengthen them? I have emailed the Healthy Hair Studio but have received no response. However, I saw a review from another loc'd sista on their site who seems to advocate their products, not least the protein treatment. I'm willing to try anything and do not follow UA-camrs avidly when it comes to my hair, as everything is relative. But somehow your indepth explanation of the treatment made me feel comfortable enough to at least try it. Is the Tresemme conditioner you use the one which contains vitamin E, as the bottle you display on your channel doesn't seem to show that, whilst the Amazon link shows that the product does? Is it one and the same? Questions, questions!!😊 I hope you don't mind. Many thanks
@@jenniferslowley4319 no worries at all, that’s what I’m here for 😊. My goodness you’ve been loc’d for so long. That’s beautiful 😍. Yes I love that you don’t follow blindly because at the end of the day our hair is different and will react to products differently. However I stand by the protein defence cos it’s the best I’ve used and has been a staple ever since. That and the tresemme you will always find in my products stash. I also only recommend products that I truly love and use and if I haven’t used it, I will make it known and recommend based off of reviews. I buy a lot of my products myself so I’m at liberty to say whatever I want although I still get a lot of free stuff. In regards to the tresemme conditioner, I honestly don’t pay much attention so long as it’s the moisture rich one and has no protein in it, I use it . It’s important that whatever conditioner you pair the protein defence with does not have protein in the ingredients list but the tresemme is what Healthy studios recommended when I started using it years ago and it’s done me good so I stick with it. Hope this helps :). I’m yet to use healthy studios other products but there’s massive rave about all of them so I plan to try them in the future. I’m currently not allowed to buy anymore products until I’ve used up what I already have so it might take a few years at this point🤣
@LimitlessBloom 😂😂😂 I hear you about your product stash! I try not to overdo the product overload and if I do watch any tutorials, that's all I do and hardly ever take any course of action according to the presenter. But somehow watching you and your great advice (and great hair!), coupled with watching an Enitan interview, I'm impressed. You have just gold stamped that she advised you to use Tresemme, so I will definitely try it. So the one infused with vit E is the same? Thanks again for your tolerance, Jemima. Stay blessed
Haha the product stash is actually a problem 😅 and yes the tresemme moisture rich conditioner infused with Vit E will work fine also 😊. Please let me know how you get on. Also Enitan is very passionate about what she does and definitely shows. 👌🏾
Yesss I love it! Does the job and I don’t have to worry about using too much 👌🏾. I have also seen a wheat protein I plan to experiment with once I finish with my current protein. 500g of that wheat protein cost the same as 100g of the protein I currently use so definitely makes sense to try it out. Thank you for watching 😊
Thank you for sharing and giving clarity on the difference between protein and moisture.
Glad you found it helpful 😊
Girl you are amazing and well educated in hair. Bless you & thank you.❤
I need to revisit using the Camelle Rose Algae Renew. I remember loving it! It’s been several years that I’ve tried it though.
You should! It’s so good 😍

I’m definitely not expert on this but will see if I can find some research based info on the topic.

I moisturize after a protein treatment and it still feels like hay, so I prefer to use protein rich herbs instead
Ok that’s fair. What type of protein have you used and have you tried any other type of protein?
