A tip NL, at 38:46 you can see a secret door at the bottom - if you opened this up you'd be able to grab the idol and escape through it, meaning you can trigger the lava while keeping the Ankh. It's pretty rare for you to get a situation like that but as you can imagine it's a pretty massive boost to a run.

I was just siting here just chilling and watching you play spelunky. I was under the mindset of "I'll play spelunky whenever and beat hundun sometime in the future" but now that you have beat him I felt compelled to finally crank out a hundun victory to stay ahead.

Hey, NL, just want you to know for the future: At 38:31 you can see the outline of another doorway on the right there. These will rarely spawn at the bottom of 4-3, and if you blow them open with a bomb, you can actually use it to very easily escape the lava without using the Ankh.
Something I've always wondered, isnt killing yang always better than giving him turkeys? What does giving yang turkeys accomplish? All I can think of is when he turns into a shop, he offers rope. He lets you buy 3 turkeys, but you get the three for free killing yang. He gives you a key to his cave, but you get that for free killing him. And you get his gold when killing him, which is probably equal to the ropes he sells, so all in all, I don't see why not kill him every time
Herpetologist is actually correct, as it's the collective study of reptiles and amphibians and axolotls are amphibians (like other salamanders, they resemble lizards and hence much confusion)
NL you must learn the power of the backwhip. Whipping behind you whips one block behind and one block up, perfect for easily taking out bats and the top skull block only.
38:45 You could have kept the Ankh if you bombed that secret door open, you don't have to die to open the door to Kingu you just have to trigger the trap. You can use the teleporter in a similar way to jump past the falling lava but that's tougher.
38:32 Nl you can preserve the ank when there is a second door somewhere in the are where you sacrifice yourself. You just have to trigge the lava trap and then leave
I don't mean this in a negative way about NL's gameplay, but just as a communal info kinda thing for just whoever wants to know. When NL is talking about how his death is "Dereky" with reference to the moon challenge, it is actually pretty avoidable if you know how that challenge spawns traps. Whenever you see a setup like that area with the crate and the split level, there is a frequent chance of an arrow trap on the top part of the split. For that reason, it's good to expect the arrow trap and drop something into there that would trigger it. All that said, game is very Derek, all the time. Even for avoidable deaths, there is extreme Derek energy permeating everything, so I don't mean anything by pointing out how to avoid that situation.
I got to the top of 7-4 last night and I had no means of killing Hundun at all, managed o make a head kill the other but then I just fucking died. I don't wanna live anymore, I can't even get my daily dose of Ryan Spelonky

I don't know how accurate this is, but i have seen a lot of people saying that helping Yang increases the spawn rate of turkeys in the levels after.
