- Welcome back to our 1.20 adventure on the channel in the Trails and Tails update!
In this episode we finally decorate the 2nd level of our start house and set up our enchanting room. We go to the nether to mine quartz for XP and also locate a fortress. Once back in the overworld, we decorate our axolotl pond, find 2 axolotls, stumble upon a skeleton spawner and add some torii gates to our area.
We also reveal our new commissioned skin we'll be wearing for the 1.20 series and I think it's so cute!

I really like the name Kirro for the yellow axolotl :) it means yellow in Japanese. And the skin is adorable 💕
So my name suggestions for the axolotls are: Kumori for the white one (means cloudy in Japanese (because he’s/she’s white like clouds yk)) and Hareta for the yellow one (means sunny (like the weather))

Also, I think if you rename axolotls-in-a-bucket on an anvil, they'll retain the name once released. I nominate the names Buttercup and Daisy.

i love the new skin and the torii gates are so cute! for the axolotls i suggest gudetama (works for either, but you could also call them gude and tama) bc it's a little japanese egg character and they look like egg components (yolk and white)
Your builds continue to be absolutely breathtaking. I've been struggling with uses of bamboo and you've helped get my creative juices flowing! I love the new skin also! For the axolotals....the white, tamago (japanese for egg) and yellow, kiiro (japanese for...well, yellow)
11:39 Fun fact you don’t need a name tag to name an axolotl! All you need is an anvil and put the bucket of axolotl in and rename it! :D
And I think a suggestion name for the the axolotl would but cute as lemon or lemmy
Those poor cows, but their sacrifice is for the greater good … I’m sure they’ll understand. I believe axolotls are like fish, once you catch them in a bucket they won’t despawn, though I’m not 100% certain … but it is fun to name them. I usually name the two you have Goldie and Bubbles. Your new skin looks absolutely amazing. A brilliant episode, I look forward to the next one 😁
Some cute build idea for showing off some of the new archeology items could be a Japanese style temple or monument with the new pottery!

You can call your Axolotl friend a proper Chinese name. I live and teach in China and the word for Lemon 🍋 is Ning. Little Ning. Little lemon. Super cute for an Asian themed name

Since your base is Japanese theme can you please name the axalotols after two characters of my favourite anime of all time: Princess Mononoke by Studio Ghibli. They are called Ashitaka (the guy) and San (the girl).
You should name the Axolotl Rakkasan. It’s a Japanese word that means parachute (umbrella for falling). It’s also the name of an Army airborne infantry unit.
Torii gates are their symbol as well.

Also, 1) once you put an Axolotl in a bucket it will not despawn and 2) you don’t need a name tag, just put him in the bucket and name the bucket in the anvil (I feel like a lot of people forget this, but you can do it with anything else in a bucket as well)

A cute name for the white axolotl would be mashumaro which means marshmallow in Japanese. For the yellow one nikkō which means sunshine would be cute.
The way you say 1.20 kills me! I have never heard someone say "one dot twenty". I always here it as "one point twenty". Very unique way to say it!
You should name the yellow axolotl mandarin, aang, or sunny and name the white one Fuji, snowflake, or cream puff.

I used to watch a lot of Hermitcraft. Their Nether spawn is almost always a basalt delta. I thought that’s what you’d get.

Candles are still my favorite functional aesthetic for enchantment and potions setups, with a close second of a lectern w/ book & quill (I can never remember potions recipes, so I need an in-game note/recipe book 😅). Barrels get 3rd place, for single-block functional storage of enchanting/brewing ingredients, preferably tucked into a floor or wall for discretion~
Favorite non-functional decor item for kitchen/potions area is flowerpots. LOTS of flowerpots; Warped foliage, ferns and grasses for the kitchen (fresh herbs for cooking!) and assorted Nether foliage, saplings and mushrooms for fresh potions ingredients. I love building a little greenhouse next to my potions lab, decorated with _lots_ of foliage of all sorts; makes it look like you're growing all your own ingredients~☺
