  • Another arcade vid this time human friendly. Enjoy!
Travel through time with ancient arcade relics that have travelled aeons to reach our present reality. Play through alternate timeliness with games that defy the laws of physics and take the concept of reality to the brink of madness. In this ephemeral space, reality is merely a suggestion, and the impossible is only a figment of your imagination.

This is almost exactly what I remember arcades being like when I was young. It’s just that mine were near the ocean so there were a lot more tentacles.

Some of these are so convincingly “realistic”. Like looking into strange alternate worlds with their own cultures, biologies and natural laws.

i said something similar once. they do gve you a feeling like these are real people you're seeing from some place you only see glimpses of in dreams. every one of them with their own lives outside the ictures, their own dreams, their own ambitions, their own.....agendas. some of them look like they know they are part of something outside of us, whilst also looking like they know more about us than we would like them to, like they can read every thought you've had, are having, and will have. They know what makes the universe work, its secrets....its thoughts. whenever they appear in one of these pictures, its like they know you are looking at them, and feels like they are looking right back. they feel unfamiliar, yet somehow you feel like you've seen them before, like you know them....like they know you.

Also your music is really good, do you make tracks specifically for these videos or are they tracks you've made before that just happen to fit so well?

man, arcades just aint what they used to be. I remember as a kid, i'd get some pocket money and jump on my Raleigh Burner BMX, and ride all the way to southend seafront to spend my money at the arcades. You'd get there and there'd be this new machine that called to you, and so you'd enter your money, and lose a piece of your soul as you placed your arms and face into the tentacle like attachments.
They would grip on with so many needle like teeth, but you wouldn't scream, you'd feel... empty. as if you'd been hollowed out like a pumpkin, and the parts that would make you terrified to even step near the thing had just been scooped right out.
There'd be blood, but it was okay, it was all part of the game. And what a game.
Sometime you would be going for a high score, other times you would be destroying other worlds just be staring into the souls of those who inhabited them. one by one, you would look inside them, and see all their secrets, their dreams, their cries, their screams.
And you would devour them all like so many tasty things. such pretty things.
    I still taste them now.
    so many memories.
    so many dreams.
and there were still so many more to be had....
But then playstation came out and now i sell my soul in a different way that doesn't seem so fun.
    go figure.

It's weird that after using SD, MJ etc for a bit, our minds all just immediately notice the diffusion flaws and the normal generative B.S. and our brains just sort of dismiss the entire image as more AI nonsense, instead of how people not exposed to making the diffusion-sausage don't cross this uncanny valley and are still impressed and impacted by AI generated images with obvious problems.

An idea, one that goes a bit in the opposite direction of your usual videos-
It's the 26th century. A freighter from Earth carries supplies to a planet halfway across the galaxy. Upon landing one of the crew, new to the ship & has never left Earth before, is frightened at the sight of horrific alien beasts & strange architecture. He fears for his life... until one of the aliens calls to the captain. They are good friends, have been for decades & now this alien is the leader of the planetary parliament. The fear was hasty- these aliens, looking terrifying, are quite peaceful. They have been for thousands of years. They are a center of art & culture in that segment of the galaxy.
But that may be changing. Every creative mind on the planet had slowly been losing their inspiration. They only redo what's been done. No new ideas. It seems they have become stagnant. Artists, musicians, designers, they slowly enter a depressed state. Some have been gone insane, reverting to the old ways of their species- violent. It turns out this race was once just as frightening as their appearance & aesthetics may make one think. The creators, one by one, are taken to institutions but treatment options have not worked. Over time this problem will worsen & the public will become aware- if some are not already. Their leader discusses this with the freighter captain. It could very well see the end of this civilization & this race becoming feral, dangerous beasts as they were once in a forgotten era. Woe to anyone who visits this planet if that were to happen.
    Until...
The new crewmember listens to old Earth music while he lounges around, waiting for their departure. The parliamentary leader takes notice. An old sound to humans but one unfamiliar to this species. Nothing before has sounded like this. It's exciting. It has bass. It has funk. It has soul. It has a sound that immediately draws the attention of any nearby. All this despite these sounds being almost forgotten by the world it originated on, outside of a few who dig deep out of historical curiosity.
The parliament has never heard Earth music prior but this particular genre has immediately resonated with them. They decide to play old funky Earth sounds in the asylums. The patients enjoy these old songs. It does what nothing has before. It makes these depressed artists happy. It inspires them again.
They study this music. George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Lakeside, Heatwave, The Gap Band, Weeks & Co, A Taste Of Honey, many others. Other Earth music fails to catch their interest as these groups do. They build new instruments. They create sounds unknown to them. Their clothing designers adapt ancient Earth styles to their own. The new music is a mix of their old culture with a sound from ancient times of Earth, an almost creepy yet harmonic sound mixed with heavy bass, piano, violin & funk.
The time comes. The concert they play for the neighboring planets. These visitors from nearby hope to hear what this race, known for its art, has for them. But they couldn't expect what's coming... it's not the old style. It's the INTERPLANETARY FUNK!
(All this as an excuse to see Giger aliens in 70s disco & funk attire, really)

@@bannedfromearth9819 Thank you. You are free to go ahead with this as I have no skills with these AI image programs. I figure that the disco & funk styles of the 70s to 80s would be just as unknown, fascinating & possibly a bit horrifying on first glance to such creatures as their aesthetics are to us. Star-shaped sunglasses, disco balls, shiny suits, they would have no such concepts to compare to, they might have the same feelings as the first time we see a xenomorph. But it needed a backstory to make it make more sense.

love all the tendrils and how organics they look like...games that themselves are so excitable they can barely be contained within their consoles and cabinets. what kind of prompts do you use to get the generator to give the Players (and I've noticed it in a number of your works) clothes and hairstyles that look like they come from the 70's and 80's? love those images where folks look like they're coming through the console themselves...are they players or being played? would be awesome to see if you could integrate many of the same aesthetics as here to a fast food/food court concept. what kind of corporate franchise logos, take away containers and eating utensils would they have? what kind of plastic/Formica tables and seating would be used? What would the kitchen servers/dispensers and machinery look like? the uniforms of the staff?
