I would love a video just about horror posters!! 👻💕
This would be cool, which ones gave away to much about the movie or which ones led you in a completely different direction
I'd totally watch it
SECONDED!!!!
Me too
Me too
Emmaaaa the length of this video and the last make me so happy. The more spookyastronauts the better.
aww thanks Jordan!
Id love to see a video of you ranking your fave top 10 films you rated 9 or above on letterboxed
I would need to figure them out haha!
I love those monthly videos, I always add many movies to my already too long watchlist :D
Thank you!
I love Dark Tourist!!! That shows needs more recognition.
you mentioned how you save your 9/10 stars for gold... could we have a video of your letterbox rated 9/10 stars!! id be so interested
Yes, please...talk about horror movie posters will be fun 😂😂
Thanks for the feedback!
@@spookyastronauts my pleasure 👍
I'd totally be into deep dives and analysis type content, you have a very interesting perspective and should make the videos that make you happy.
Thanks! i like doing a little bit of everything to be honest. You should check out the deep dives I already have, they are on a playlist on my channel. I have director interviews and stuff like that :)
Missed some of these. The great thing about monthly round up is you always suggest something I’ve never heard of or seen. Thank you 🤘
I'm now on episode 3 of Dark Tourist, thank you for the recommendation! xx
Just a late-to-the-party note that I'm delighted to have you do more deep dives as well as the spoiler-free discovery videos; really enjoy what you bring to all this!
Emma! Thank you for the follow back on Letterboxd! I feel special 😁 I'm having a fun time creating my *Watched* and *To Watch* lists based off of your lists. I think you've watched everything I could possibly think of. Thanks for the recommendations!!
Oh my god this is the densest video. So much to unravel. Loved it! Adding “images” and the new dark/wicked to my list (and more). Bravo and thank you 🤘
These are still my favourite type of videos even though they're so simple. Just Emma giving us a great big summary and showing us some thoughts and info she may have left out of other videos 😊
Thank you Duckie!
I'm glad you mentioned the amount of research you do and your deep dives. I think this is one of the things that really sets you apart from other reviewers or " list" type channels. The Lord's of Chaos/Metalhead DTOY blew me away with the amount of research you and Vicky did for it. Such a joy, especially for an old metalhead like me!
Nice wrap up #spookyastronauts & love the reactions 😅 Definitely saw a few that had my interest. Your one of the few out there that mix old school rarities regardless of origin or genre, & I bow down to that. Until next time @astroemma have a good one.
Posters please! Or even VHS covers would be good as a lot of us would rent movies based on this alone. You can call it don’t judge a movie by its cover or something.
You’re my favorite spooky channel ❤️
Thank you
Legit can't wait to watch Happiest Season as soon as December hits, woohoo! Oh god flashbacks to Stage Fright 🤣 you've made me want to rewatch Paranormal Activity now!
I barely watched anything this month, so sad. But I'm hoping to get back to watching stuff more in December with some time off! 🤞🏻
Thanks for making these monthly videos- my watch list is always growing because of you! By the way, I loved your latest DTOY! I appreciate all the research you both did for it and found it really interesting! 🤘🏻☠👻👽
Thank you so much C.C. :D
The Dark Tourist guy also did the documentary Tickled, which was great.
Maaaan, that movie was a weird trip, wasn't it???
@@colleenchristi8245 it was definitely a trip
And Tickle King!
It's always so great to see you go through your Letterboxd. 🥰 I would also love to see a movie about horror movie posters 🖤
Would love to see a video where you breakdown horror posters, with examples of favourites and flops!
Thank you!
Dark Tourist is one of my favourite series, its fascinating. I'm reading a book about it now called Turismo Dark (it's in Spanish though). I love the deep dive/informative videos! The movie poster one would be really fun too x
Watch the south korean movie the call that just recently debuted on netflix ITS INCREDIBLE
Thank you for a few good films that you have recommended. Added to the list . Been meaning to watch his house for a while may watch that tonight . Great monthly video again 👏
enjoy and thank you!
Girl, you're the best! It's great to find someone, who has a similair taste in horror movies, despire that some movie reviews are quite low, you still recommend it and I don't regret watching them! I wonder if you have seen any good Polish horror movie? I recall that you have seen "Possesion"(1981) from Żuławski and Jagoda Szelc movie, I also recommend her other piece "Wieża jasny dzień". I had a chance to be at the meeting with her and she's a great, insightful artist with her own unique style and I hope she is going to direct more horrors like this.
Hey i just recently found your channel and i really like your movie recommendations because you have interesting taste in movies (sometimes movie review channels become little bit ‘obnoxious’/judgemental on their movie preferences lol). i am from indonesia and in here people mostly like big named movies even if it’s shitty, your movie recommendations are highly appreciated because it introduces me to alot of great underrated movies.
Thanks! I don’t feel like there should be so much judgement and disagreements in the horror community. We all like what we like! No judgment :)
I binge watched Dark Tourist in two days, so happy to know I am not the only one wanting a second season 🤗 Once again loved the video
Thanks Andy! Dark Tourist was so good!
I enjoy listening to these longer videos while driving long distances. I would enjoy a discussion about horror movie posters.
Definitely be watching a few of these tonight 😊
Brought here from Sarah (PossessedByHorror) and subscribed. I'm addicted to Letterboxd, and added you there as well! :)
Thank you so much Polly!
Yes please do a poster video!!! It would be great if you could also talk about the best places to get ur posters from!! Love ur channel btw!!!!
Thanks Natasha!
Another Yes to a movie poster video. Or VHS DVD box art. Same diff.
Some of my fondest childhood horror movie memories are just hanging out in the horror section of my local Video Ezy, obsessed with all the weird and wonderful VHS cover art, endlessly pestering mum to let me rent Evil Dead 2 or Braindead and the happiness when she finally gave in.
Posters are why I got into horror movies.
What a nice list of new movies to watch. And hey! I really appreciate the good info you pur in all of your video... is never enough research lol 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💜💜💜
Thank you so much! I always appreciate your comments and support! it doesnt go unnoticed
I just watched the FF horror movie “Afflicted” it was awesome! Can’t believe I hadn’t seen it sooner!
Love these videos! ♥️
Thank you!
I love these videos and I love that you include books lol. Also... the movie Run was way different than I expected. Maybe not in a great way. Aha glad you finally saw twilight. An ex dragged me to the midnight premiere when I was in high school and I tried my best to not be amused- but your description of the movie, simply as “a trip” is spot on imo lol.
John Williams's music score for Images is probably his most out there stuff and I love it 😆
I love these monthly videos
The poster for the borderlands reminds me of that random house grace found in the lodge. Also I was watching he’s out there and I realized that it’s the same house and location as the lodge but filmed in the summer
Waaahhhhh!! A 31min What I Watched🤩🤩🤩!! Edit: yes please a vid on movie posters!!👍🏽💋🥂
:D I watched so much! haha
Yesssss!!! Loooovved Psychic, one of my fave Giallo as well.... No B.S.!!! Lol, and Thank You Again for recommending Images! It was a great watch and I'm Soo happy bcuz Idk If I would've ever came across that movie without You!! Thanx Emma
I still recommend, Elizabeth Harvest. I would love to see if you like it. It’s a sci fi Horror. I’ve watched it at least three times. Love your videos 👏🏻
For a fun Murder Mystery comedy watch Murder by Death. One of my favorites! Also The Private Eyes with Don Knott's and Tim Conway if you can find it.
OMG, I never been more shocked about one of your ratings. Stagefright is one of my fav horror movie, lol.
oh really? it did not go down very well with my group of patreons/friends
I'd like to suggest you watch a film called Silence & Darkness directed by Barak Barkan. It's very recent, I couldn't find the exact release date, but it's from 2019 or 2020. The premise is the life of two sisters who live together, one of them is deaf and the other one is blind, so that creates a unique dinamic in which they figure out how to take care of each other despite their conditions. There are some mysteries and tense moments in all this situation, but I wouldn't say much more, to not ruin your experience in case you decide to watch it.
Love your work
Regards from Brazil
Dark Tourist 😂 I live in the U.K. where one of the dark tourism things is! I really enjoyed the show.
This video got me right between the eyes!
🤣🤣🤣
omg how you said cojones! that's so cute 🥺
Movie Posters, are the best!!! It really helps you decide if it's worth the watch.
Dark Tourist is really really great. Ben Grimm below recommended the doc Tickled and it's so worth a watch. What a weird, trippy film.
Yes I saw tickled ! Loved it
I saw The Believers when i was 13 and i never forgot that scene at the beginning that you are talking about.
@Marcio Cardoso thank you.
yessssss one at least on movie posters, you could do one top 10 for each styles: satan, werewolves, vampires etc :)
Love the video Emma!! I Really Liked Rituals (1977)..... But yes I don't think you had Rituals in your Ritual video? Lol maybe bcuz it was a Lil Redundant!? Hahaha
I would appreciate it if u talk abt secret societies movies and cults too
Thanks Joe!
Omg I Love Shotts Creek!! Keep watching it gets better over the seasons
A video about horror movie posters would be fantastic!
Sputnik was also great imo
Sputnik was one of the best of 2020
Aaaaw!! It makes me sad that you didn't enjoy stagefright, it's actually one of my fav giallos :) it made me search out everything by Michele Soavi.
@@exit2exist676 for me it was the other way around. i started with argento went to fulci, bava but also sergio martino and some others. And quite recently watched stagefright and then went on to see everything else by Michele Soavi. I honestly love his stuff! It's gotten to the point where i want to try and write a book on him, cause there isn't one in english as of now... I feel like he brings a lot of younger energy into italian horror. You can see a sort of progression in camera movement. Bava moved his camera very slowly and meticulously. Argento moved a bit faster and then here comes Soavi and the camera goes vooch!
Yes!!!! Movie posters analysis!
I'm going to check out Freaky next week. From what I've heard, it will be hitting on demand sometime next week here in the United States. Can't wait to see it. I watched a good, imo, variety of movies in November. Here they are:
Voorhees (Friday The 13th fan film)
Friday The 13th Part 2
Friday The 13th Part 6
Friday The 13th Part 4
Friday The 13th Part 5
Friday The 13th Part 3
Friday The 13th Part 7
Friday The 13th Part 8
Jason Goes To Hell
My Cousin Vinny
Jason X
Friday The 13th (2009)
Friday The 13th (1980)
Becky
No One Lives
Death Wish (2018)
Maniac Cop
The Hunt
Maniac Cop 2
Maniac Cop 3
The Invisible Man
21 Bridges
Rambo: Last Blood
Ready Or Not
Peppermint
The Burning
Rabid (2019)
Angel Has Fallen
Drive
I'd recommend any of these movies that you haven't already seen. By any chance, did you get a new camera? I'm watching this video on a 55 inch smart TV, and the image is Crystal clear. It feels like you are actually sitting across the room from me.
Thank you for another awesome video 😎😎😎😎😎
Please make that poster video, would LOVE to get your take on design!!
Thanks
Would love a video about horror posters!
Yes Posters!!
Teenagers in a V line all looking very intense and serious.... a classic! Scream, I know what you did last summer, The Faculty.... and much more !🤣
Videos about movie posters would be fun. I never saw it on horror channels. Could be a recurring thing. There is masterful posters and hilariously awful ones :)
I am totally down for a posters video!
Thanks for the feedback Cait!
Would love a video about horror movie posters!
Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II gave me a bit of nostalgia
3/10 for Stagefright! Man, that might be our biggest disagreement so far. I guess I'm just too fond of owl masks, heh.
We aren’t disagreeing, we just don’t have the same taste. I’m not one of those “I’ll fight you if you don’t like the same things as me” type people
@@spookyastronauts Well said! 😊 I agree, UA-cam-drama is depressing.
@@spookyastronauts Love stagefright, but I agree. different tastes.
You watched a lot of great stuff! I think I'm the only one who thought Stage Fright was not terrible. Lol. I quite enjoyed it.
I think you are! RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES!
Spooky time, noice
His House Was great

TEENAGE CAVEMAN (1958) - score 3/10 (Roger Corman classic)

INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN (1956) - score 2/10
THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1957) - score 8/10

FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED (1969) - 6/10

BLOOD SURF (2000) - score 5/10
thanks for sharing! looks like you had a huge mix of stuff!
We have a haunted museum, we also are trying to get our hands on some darker stuff. We currently have 1 item from a killer and a hight up organised crime boss and now we are currently looking for at some of Charles manson's hair but we don't know whats happening with that. Anyway I only mentioned it because I believe you are in to that sort of stuff
aye i watched 31 as well, pretty aight. the main murderer guy was definitely the best part. have you ever reviewed severance?
I spoke about it in one of my hidden horror gems videos
@@spookyastronauts thx!
okay ill watch the paranormal activity you did even though i thought the movies were pretty ordinary
Yes to the video on movie posters :)
Thanks for the feedback!
I loved saved!
Gaaahhhh okay so I just got back into reading and I am obsessed with a horror writer. Nick Cutter. I highly, HIGHLY reccomend checking out his books The Deep and The Troop. I just finished The Deep and I was obsessed. I have the Troop to read next and it's like, Lord of the Flies but with a horrible infection type thing. And The Deep is all about like, eldritch horrors under the water. So. Good. And I'm currently reading Bunny by Mona Awad which is very, like, if Mean Girls was a cult horror movie.
I started watching Dark Tourist a couple of years ago but was so put off by seeing that he went to Aokigahara, because it was a similar time to the Logan Paul fiasco and it made me feel a bit icky and weird, that somehow it was ok for him to go in Dark Tourist! But having said that, I didn't get to that episode (just seeing it in the intro made me see the whole show a bit differently and put it in a bit of perspective). Did you feel that the different cultures and places etc were dealt with ok? It is usually the sort of show I would love!
I felt like he dealt with it in such a different way. Logan Paul wasn’t in trouble because he went there. It was because he filmed a dead body. Many documentaries and even a horror movie is set in that forest. But they don’t film anyone there.
@@spookyastronauts ok thanks! Maybe I'll revisit it :)
is it 1/4 or 1/5 stars?
Did you do a review on Noroi?
'Movie posters' video would be awesome
I would love to hear your thoughts on movie posters.
Thanks :)
I finish watching Run Emma thank you.
WHAT platform is "Images" playing on? Or did I miss you saying so....???🤔
Tubi
@@Blkpants Thanks!😁 I watch Tubi Constantly!!
@@kristennelson3190 You're welcome! I watch it all the time too
Yep ! Tubi!
Paranormal Activity Ghost Dimension was a hidden gem. Just ask Emma. Her video was on Paranormal Activity was so good 😊
Hi, I've recently stumbled on a strange movie called Begotten. What do you think of it?
"Makes 'Eraserhead' look like 'Ernest Saves Christmas'" was used in the trailer. I always loved that. The director of "Begotten" went on to direct the excellent "Shadow of the Vampire."
Isnt metalhead from Iceland ?
Great video anyways 🤘🏻
Yes, God, Yes was super funny, I haven't laughed like that in years.
What is that app she's using?
please do a video about horror movie posters
Yes! Do a poster video!! I
Thanks for the feedback Tom
A few close friends of mine were in Yes god yes!
Would you ever do a video giving your thoughts on short horror films? First time filmmakers etc? Basically, would you like to watch my first short horror film? :D
Or a video about movies like Mama, Lights Out, and most recently Come Play, where the director made a feature length movie from their own short film.
Do we want a video about your hot takes on horror movie posters?
Um. Yes. Please. And. Thank. You.
hahah thanks June
I found Cadaver excellent!!
Hey if y’all are reading this and wondering about the Patreon, it’s really awesome and you should def join if you’re thinking about it! Human sacrifices every week.🤙🤙
Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II (and the even more bonkers third movie) haven't got much to do with the original film. I believe they marketed it as a sequel to Prom Night just to cash in.
Yeah it seems it haha!
