Used to be a dog person but we recently adopted a cat and I couldn’t have been more wrong about them. He’s cuddly, follows us all over the place, loves to play and has already learned a few tricks.
So you only like a cat that acts like a dog..
Bad way to prove cats are good.
Cats are cats. Don’t expect dog behaviour from them.
If you want a constant companion who loves and protects you. Get a dog.
If you want a housemate who comes and goes and requires minimal effort. Get a cat.
Dogs are pets. They require a lot of time and effort. If you’re not gonna be home most of the day. You’re not fit to get a dog.
Cats are like houseplants. They’ll make you feel less lonely, but don’t require as much effort as a dog. If you’re going to be out of the house a lot (work, travel etc) then a cat is better suited for you.

I wasn't sure if my cats were gonna learn respond to be called by theirs names. But no,they very obedient and learned from us speaking their names all the time. Now both of my cats respond to their name and come. They are very loving and caring. ❤

I know it's a joke but majority of cats I've know are extremely loyal to their owners. I've been in some homes and they would not approach me they stuck by their owners side. I remember befriending a stray a few years back and he was like my main little buddy, if I snapped my fingers he'd come running out the bushes, he eventually brought me "food" (dead squirrels/rats/birds) nice gesture, and he was super protective.
People who think cats aren't loyal or don't show emotions have never owned a cat or only got their cat knowledge through memes.
The attitude part is spot on though.
Ikr, they're much fearless than people think, they attack and stand their ground against animal ranging from mouse, chicken, goose, fox, bobcat, coyote, seal, even.. crocodile, tiger, bear, sometimes hippo and elephant! (There are video of it)

My cat listens when I say sit or go to sleep so he waits in his cat bed until I wake up so he does not wake me up too early in the morning. He understands many words and waits for me at the door if I come home at a time he does not expect.

Mr Baldwin (my cat) is super loyal. As soon as he comes home from randoming the neighborhood and sleeping on the neighbors porch, we prove it. 😂.. At least until I feed him.. 😅
