No one, and I mean NO ONE, will ever replicate this man's passion, soul or strength when it pertains to music. Sixty-years of hardships followed by six-years of greatness. Only a legend can create such a legacy in that short of time. You'll forever be missed! The Screaming Eagle of Soul! RIP Charles Bradley!
You NEED to see the documentary on his life please watch it its called soul of America one of the best and most moving life stories I've EVER heard its called soul of America
Just saw it and I couldn't agree more. One of the most inspiring life stories I've ever seen. Connected with his stories and dreams on so many levels. His drive to follow his dreams, even at 62, motivates me. I feel old and tired at 24 sometimes.lol
The most unfair death of all times. He´s suffered sixty years to became a professional musican and he died 6 years after that. Extemely sad. He will never be forgotten !
It's not... His struggles and life lead hi to become successful... How many of us can even come close to saying that before we die? 6 years is a gift, not a tragedy.
The first time I heard this song, I listened to about 20 seconds of it and then immediately grabbed my wife as she was walking by and danced with her in our kitchen. This is the first time we've danced together since maybe our wedding almost two years ago. I love this song and it brings tears to my eyes every time I listen it. God bless you Charles Bradley!
I don't know why but I read this and I couldn't help but to cry. I cried because it was just simply beautiful. Dance with her Drew. Tell her everyday you love her. Cherish every moment. Never let her go. I wish you all the happiness in the world and that yall stay together till the end of time.
Holy shit. Just discovered this man today, i'm absolutely blown away by his beautiful voice and PASSION oh my g o d he is incredible. Rest in power, man.
just heard accidentally for first time last week, someone used one of his songs in a motorcycle video. now trying to learn more & hear more, love his voice, takes me back to the artists of the 50's when they put heart & soul into music.
How this Man was never as big as Marvin, Smokey, Al, or any of the other great voices, has me baffled. His voice is a religious experience and all his songs that I've listened to today have brought me to tears. I am blown away and I am heartbroken that I didn't know of his music sooner. I am also sorry that he is no longer with us in the physical sense.
Loving you baby When you're holding me, baby I feel so real When you're kissing me, baby Oh, it feels so real Oh oh baby I, all my life I been searching for love Mourning for love, giving everything I know Oh, oh oh baby When you touch me, baby My heart skips a beat Loving you baby Has meant everything to me Oh, baby oh baby Everything to me Every night when I look into your face I know baby, I know it's you That makes my life complete Wanting you, baby Oh I can't get enough of you baby Can't get enough of you I was crying when I felt your love This time I know it's for real baby Ooooo No more bad dreams baby No more afraid to open the door and let you in oh Lovin' you baby Needin' you baby But I feel so real When you're holding me baby When you're needing me baby Every night when I look into your face I know its you that makes my life complete Oh baby baby baby Oh I'm gonna love you baby No matter what it takes It's you and me all the way, oh baby For the rest of my life I really mean it baby For the rest of my life Nobody but you and me, oh baby I, I love you baby There's no one above you You know when you love someone so deeply When you feel it in your heart And it took a long time coming Sometime I feel that I don't want to go on
I can't listen to any of Mr.Bradley's songs without crying,I found him a few years back and I didn't know how blessed I was to come across him. My heart aches at the loss of this wonderful, kind talented man,it's so hard to believe that he is now with his Lord and Savior, may he forever rest in peace......💔
Charles Bradley was one of the best performers I've ever seen grace a stage, and i was lucky enough to get one of his amazing post-show hugs, we miss you so much Charles! Thank you so much!❤
wow! I can tell that he loved,James Brown,Otis redding, and Sam Cooke,I'm so glad to see someone with this kind of soul in there bones he will be legendary like the ones before him!
+Irene Camarena Exactly, I'd love to listen to the kind of music which originated from the great R&B/Soul days of the 60s/70s rather than the computer generated trash and auto-tuned voices.
Watched this when it came out and I was hooked. Saw Charles perform in Portland and it was amazing. Couple years later, this was my wedding song. We named our sweet Great Dane, Charles Bradley in honor. RIP
He makes us feel like him singing the song, is indescribable the way how he lives every word of his songs, this kind of artist are whom we need to make famous.
My husband found Charles Bradley song loving you baby . I cried it touch me since my husband played it as our wedding song. That was 10 years ago. We have a sign copy of his album and a pic with him. He was amazing thru and thru
It truly was! Got to see him three times, first time back in 2011, it was in a small venue (like 300 people or so) and when the first notes were played I've got instantly goose bumps and tears in my eyes... Almost felt like I was in shock or struck by all the feelings conveyed by the music. I'll always remember that particular moment, and also when he appeared and all along the concert and after the show you could feel all the love he had and all the struggles he went through in his life. It's easily when of my top two concert, the second one being Lee Fields 5 months later!
the trumpet sounds Devine it is the imperfections that actually have pertinent basis. when you have made music from the heart of the love pain and experience of living in the world how could it be perfect without being imperfect. and color has nothing to do with the beauty of music it is universal
No, I'm sorry no way. I am a trumpet player, and it is crystal clear that that guy is not making it and he is living a nightmare, you can see it in his eyes. It happened to me a couple of times that I could not get to higher notes as I used to do, it's strange, it's like you forgot how to play. This has nothing to do with love, pain, experience, imperfection-is-perfection etc, those are all nice words but now this guy is simply not getting any note. His sound is so unstable, he tries to guess the high notes just by blowing with random power in the trumpet but even if he gets it he can't sustain it. I don't know maybe it wasn't his mouthpiece, or he smoked a joint, or he is still under anesthesia from the dentist. All I know is that he is totally messing up and it is a pain to watch and hear.
Just found this guy out and have been OBSESSED with him and his songs. So sad to hear how he passed recently he is a modern day soul singer for our generation what a passion he has in his voice.
que bandota y que cantante, lastima que se la haya pasado toda su vida imitando cuando el tenia un gran talento que descanse en paz el señor Bradley...
... speechless man... thats the kind of music we all should be listening to... not that pop shit we have to hear all the time. THIS is music with sense when u ask me...
Still don't believe it ! I got some teardrops. Specially because I was listening to his music lately and I also saw some interviews where he tells from he's difficult youth until when he was "discovered". You're an inspiration to everyone ! Merci, gracias, thank you for you love ! You'll be forever remembered !
Love you Mr. Charles Bradley. Rest In Power and Paradise. You are truly missed, appreciated, and forever loved. Thank you for your contribution to music. You live on thru your beautiful music, we still feel your heart and soul. Forever Grateful❤️🙏🏽🎼
I just found him today! My heart just snapped after reading the comments below. Why do I always end up being too late??!! He is in my heart and soul permanently and for this I am can smile. Thank You Charles for sharing your talent, inspiring us not to give up on our dreams, and I will be grateful for you the rest of my days!!
I Wanted to see you perform so badly last year and was devastated when the show was cancelled! I was so excited to take my girl to see you perform next month. RIP Charles Bradley. Your music and message will forever live on brother! I will rejoice now because you are home with God!
I am very happy to hear soul in effect once again. I pray that more younger generations of artists will begin to adopt or reconsider jazz, blues, funk, and real rock music; I believe this style (Charles Bradley, James Brown, Otis Redding, Arthur Conley, Temptations, etc.) is so uplifting, even when it's sad. It moves people. I hope the artists from this day and age come to realize that soul needs to come back, because our generation is ridden with hate, fear, despise, ignorance..this music has brought me through these times, I think it can for all of you too. This is beautiful.
he was abandonned as a kid, he was homeless... his dream came true when he was 61 years old... RESPECT! WHAT A VOICE, WHAT A PASSION!
and the guy didn't give up or get pissed off with the world!
Not sure I have even 1% of his strength.
And now Hes gone, RIP.
Amazing persona
I'm just happy I stumbled upon his music. What a voice
he's worth 100 mil so yeah
No one, and I mean NO ONE, will ever replicate this man's passion, soul or strength when it pertains to music. Sixty-years of hardships followed by six-years of greatness.
For 6 beautiful years he lived his dream....I'm glad he had a gd end to his life ♥️
Sometimes the body will fight for long. Probably was really happy he did what he wanted to do and body gave up. So he could rest.
Amen never forgotten!! Forever eternal!!
If my soul was made of wood, this guys name would be carved into it
The first time I heard this song, I listened to about 20 seconds of it and then immediately grabbed my wife as she was walking by and danced with her in our kitchen. This is the first time we've danced together since maybe our wedding almost two years ago.

I don't know why but I read this and I couldn't help but to cry. I cried because it was just simply beautiful. Dance with her Drew. Tell her everyday you love her. Cherish every moment. Never let her go. I wish you all the happiness in the world and that yall stay together till the end of time.
Me too! I felt the urge to just slow dance with my husband listening to this song!

Holy shit. Just discovered this man today, i'm absolutely blown away by his beautiful voice and PASSION oh my g o d he is incredible. Rest in power, man.
The same happened to me. I agree with your words. Anyway, i am grateful to be able to hear him. Greetings from Brazil!!!
just heard accidentally for first time last week, someone used one of his songs in a motorcycle video. now trying to learn more & hear more, love his voice, takes me back to the artists of the 50's when they put heart & soul into music.

Te quiero, nena.
Cuando me abrazas,
me siento real.
Cuando me besas,
me siento real.
Toda mi vida busqué el amor:
iba triste, entregándolo todo.
Pero cuando me tocaste,
dio un vuelco mi corazón.
Tú eres todo para mí.
Cada noche, al mirar tu rostro,
sé bien que eres tú
la que hará mi vida completa.
Te deseo, nena.
Nunca me canso de ti.
Al sentir tu amor lloré,
pero sé que es real esta vez.
No habrá más pesadillas,
no volveré a tener miedo
y dejarte entrar.
Te necesito, nena.
Te amaré por siempre,
no importa cómo, estaremos juntos.
Por el resto de mi vida.
No hay nadie como tú.
Cuando amas a alguien así de cabrón,
cuando lo sientes con todo el corazón...
Buena viva el jazz

He will be. If he isn't recognised as one of the greatest of all time amongst those names already, he will be.
"religious experience".... absolutely.
You make a song cry, grateful I know about this artist xxx
Loving you baby
When you're holding me, baby
I feel so real
When you're kissing me, baby
Oh, it feels so real
Oh oh baby
I, all my life I been searching for love
Mourning for love, giving everything I know
Oh, oh oh baby
When you touch me, baby
My heart skips a beat
Loving you baby
Has meant everything to me
Oh, baby oh baby
Everything to me
Every night when I look into your face
I know baby, I know it's you
That makes my life complete
Wanting you, baby
Oh I can't get enough of you baby
Can't get enough of you
I was crying when I felt your love
This time I know it's for real baby
Ooooo
No more bad dreams baby
No more afraid to open the door and let you in oh
Lovin' you baby
Needin' you baby
But I feel so real
When you're holding me baby
When you're needing me baby
Every night when I look into your face
I know its you that makes my life complete
Oh baby baby baby
Oh I'm gonna love you baby
No matter what it takes
It's you and me all the way, oh baby
For the rest of my life
I really mean it baby
For the rest of my life
Nobody but you and me, oh baby
I, I love you baby
There's no one above you
You know when you love someone so deeply
When you feel it in your heart
And it took a long time coming
Sometime I feel that I don't want to go on
❤❤

The cry of a man just sounds so well with a trumpet.

+Irene Camarena Exactly, I'd love to listen to the kind of music which originated from the great R&B/Soul days of the 60s/70s rather than the computer generated trash and auto-tuned voices.
+onesonbunbabylon YES :-)
Couldn't have said it any better
God bless your soul charles bradley
The comment section on Charles Bradley songs freaks me out. 80% of the people only seem to complain about random things.…wtf? This is great music!
If you don't have anything to complain about the song, 'cause seriously, it's perfect, you beggin to pay attention to those random things... I guess
The trumpet playing is remarkably bad... worth commenting on because it takes the focus away from a great song otherwise.
I was going to say...he's a great singer but that trumpet is so atrocious it really distracts from the song.
You can tell the drummer wants to kill him hahaha
Synapson
Had the pleasure of watching him preform at Coachella 2015. It was phenomenal
2021 and still sounds amazing
2022, yes :')

It's all the imperfections that makes this so perfect; RIP to one of the truly greats.
Wow, why this guy isn't more well known? Astounding talent. One of the best singers I have ever heard.
the trumpet sounds Devine it is the imperfections that actually have pertinent basis. when you have made music from the heart of the love pain and experience of living in the world how could it be perfect without being imperfect. and color has nothing to do with the beauty of music it is universal
I agree with you sir
Yes
I don't know, to me it just sounds like he messed up.
To me it sounded like farts.
No, I'm sorry no way. I am a trumpet player, and it is crystal clear that that guy is not making it and he is living a nightmare, you can see it in his eyes.
