No one, and I mean NO ONE, will ever replicate this man's passion, soul or strength when it pertains to music. Sixty-years of hardships followed by six-years of greatness. Only a legend can create such a legacy in that short of time. You'll forever be missed! The Screaming Eagle of Soul! RIP Charles Bradley!

The first time I heard this song, I listened to about 20 seconds of it and then immediately grabbed my wife as she was walking by and danced with her in our kitchen. This is the first time we've danced together since maybe our wedding almost two years ago.
I love this song and it brings tears to my eyes every time I listen it.
    God bless you Charles Bradley!

    Te quiero, nena.
    Cuando me abrazas,
    me siento real.
    Cuando me besas,
    me siento real.
Toda mi vida busqué el amor:
    iba triste, entregándolo todo.
    Pero cuando me tocaste,
    dio un vuelco mi corazón.
    Tú eres todo para mí.
Cada noche, al mirar tu rostro,
    sé bien que eres tú
la que hará mi vida completa.
    Te deseo, nena.
    Nunca me canso de ti.
    Al sentir tu amor lloré,
pero sé que es real esta vez.
    No habrá más pesadillas,
    no volveré a tener miedo
    y dejarte entrar.
    Te necesito, nena.
    Te amaré por siempre,
    no importa cómo, estaremos juntos.
Por el resto de mi vida.
    No hay nadie como tú.
Cuando amas a alguien así de cabrón,
cuando lo sientes con todo el corazón...

How this Man was never as big as Marvin, Smokey, Al, or any of the other great voices, has me baffled. His voice is a religious experience and all his songs that I've listened to today have brought me to tears. I am blown away and I am heartbroken that I didn't know of his music sooner. I am also sorry that he is no longer with us in the physical sense.

    Loving you baby
    When you're holding me, baby
    I feel so real
    When you're kissing me, baby
    Oh, it feels so real
    Oh oh baby
I, all my life I been searching for love
Mourning for love, giving everything I know
    Oh, oh oh baby
    When you touch me, baby
    My heart skips a beat
    Loving you baby
    Has meant everything to me
    Oh, baby oh baby
    Everything to me
Every night when I look into your face
    I know baby, I know it's you
    That makes my life complete
    Wanting you, baby
Oh I can't get enough of you baby
    Can't get enough of you
I was crying when I felt your love
This time I know it's for real baby
    Ooooo
    No more bad dreams baby
No more afraid to open the door and let you in oh
    Lovin' you baby
    Needin' you baby
    But I feel so real
    When you're holding me baby
    When you're needing me baby
Every night when I look into your face
I know its you that makes my life complete
    Oh baby baby baby
Oh I'm gonna love you baby
    No matter what it takes
It's you and me all the way, oh baby
For the rest of my life
    I really mean it baby
For the rest of my life
Nobody but you and me, oh baby
    I, I love you baby
    There's no one above you
You know when you love someone so deeply
When you feel it in your heart
And it took a long time coming
Sometime I feel that I don't want to go on

Got to see him three times, first time back in 2011, it was in a small venue (like 300 people or so) and when the first notes were played I've got instantly goose bumps and tears in my eyes... Almost felt like I was in shock or struck by all the feelings conveyed by the music. I'll always remember that particular moment, and also when he appeared and all along the concert and after the show you could feel all the love he had and all the struggles he went through in his life. It's easily when of my top two concert, the second one being Lee Fields 5 months later!

No, I'm sorry no way. I am a trumpet player, and it is crystal clear that that guy is not making it and he is living a nightmare, you can see it in his eyes. It happened to me a couple of times that I could not get to higher notes as I used to do, it's strange, it's like you forgot how to play. This has nothing to do with love, pain, experience, imperfection-is-perfection etc, those are all nice words but now this guy is simply not getting any note. His sound is so unstable, he tries to guess the high notes just by blowing with random power in the trumpet but even if he gets it he can't sustain it. I don't know maybe it wasn't his mouthpiece, or he smoked a joint, or he is still under anesthesia from the dentist. All I know is that he is totally messing up and it is a pain to watch and hear.

I am very happy to hear soul in effect once again. I pray that more younger generations of artists will begin to adopt or reconsider jazz, blues, funk, and real rock music; I believe this style (Charles Bradley, James Brown, Otis Redding, Arthur Conley, Temptations, etc.) is so uplifting, even when it's sad. It moves people. I hope the artists from this day and age come to realize that soul needs to come back, because our generation is ridden with hate, fear, despise, ignorance..this music has brought me through these times, I think it can for all of you too. This is beautiful.
