I tested it with 18V both sounded the same. both sound more open and less compressed at 18V. I did the test with 9V because most of them work with 9V.
Thanks for the reply, I got this pedal because of your video and I must say I'm very pleased! Cheers
Wow, great comparison, thank you. They sound almost identical. Where did you buy the LY-Rock KoT and which version (gain options)? I can only find it on Aliexpress (or Ebay China) and I have to select 1 of 4 gain options. I was about to order the 68 pedals KoC, but this video changed my mind ;-) [shipping to Germany needed]
hm, considering the built-in switchable hi-gain option of the 68 pedals KoC, wouldn't the KoC be the more versatile choice? Especially when operated with 18V the difference between LY-ROCK KoT and 68 pedals KoC might become negligible, what do you think?
thanks, i bought it on ebay, that was actually a coincidence because i actually wanted to buy the 68 pedals (for the second time). For me, the LY-ROCK is currently the best clone of the king of tone. I have the option higain red side
@@Schnuffelmonster I also tested it with 18v and there was no sound difference between all three. With the 68 pedals you have to activate the internal high gain switcher otherwise the sound dies when you turn down the gain pot and then it just sounds dull. for me they are useless. I am currently shooting a video where it is also shown.
@@gregorist-gregorbrewczynsk5269 thanks a lot for your effort and all the valuable information! I subscribed to your channel and am looking forward for the next video.
@@Schnuffelmonster Hello, man I saw the ad you mentioned, I'm about to buy, the more expensive version both high gain, but I don't know if I'll be able to adjust to boost or even overdrive. I didn't understand what to have to select 1 out of 4 options
Sounds awesome. Just one question: on aliexpress you have these options: both hi gain, lef normal - right high gain, left hi gain - right normal, both normal. Which configuration is yours in the video. Thanks and regards.
Thank you.
Mine had the option of high gain on both sides but I prefer to use it
Yello side overdrive (normal) and Red side high gain
@@gregorist-gregorbrewczynsk5269 Thanks a lot man. I saw on the app that configuration is the best selling . Do you know if its possible configuring manually the switches in the LY ROCK version? Thanks again and keep with the good job.
@@RicardoLopez-ce9cj Yes, you have internal switches with which you can switch any option. You can find the description on the analogman website.
Sounds great. I ordered one based on this video. I've already got a 68 pedals clone and while it is very good I'm hoping this is slightly better. Out of interest, how long did yours take to arrive from China?
It sounds a bit more balanced again, but that's really nothing big, but the little things make it in life. I waited about 7 days then it was there. I'm from Germany
Well. What did you find out. LY Rock or 68 pedals clone?
