    Just got mine today and tried it out for about half an hour and it great!! I’ve never played a KoT but this sounds just like the one in your video demo and the other KoT demos I’ve seen. Haven’t fiddled with the dip switches inside yet, but did open it open to see how it was set From factory (right side boost, left side OD). Really digging the OD and it stacked with the boost. Thanks for the demo man!

      @joserra79 3 роки тому +1

      I received mine a couple of days ago and nothing to complain about for now!. It just came with the same alternative setting (Clean on the right channel and OD on the yellow one). I think I prefer the normal factory setting (the opposite). Very good pedal, regardless of wheter it´s similar or not to the original!

    • @JohnShalamskas
      @JohnShalamskas 3 роки тому

      I think you have the channels backward... red side comes from AnalogMan as OD and yellow is clean boost. When you look at the back side and can read the writing on the switches right side up, the channels are reversed compared to the front side.

      @@CristianMunoz-go9tf Yes the Ceres have a tone focused in the hi-mids/treble, the clone is the same... Maybe they will do the Vesta, it's definitly more the kind of tone you are looking for I bet☺️
      The sweet tea is an awesome pedal, I didn't expected such good tones from it!

      I don't know if you know it but there is DemonFX who made the clone of the JHS AT+, Friedman BE-OD, Horizon Device Precision Drive and way more like Mad Professor series...etc... It's a really good series and it's very well-made, each one is a 1:1 clone with DemonFX name on it and with all the internal trimpots when the original have one...
      The price is around 35 bucks for a pedal!! Honestly there are really perfect units with spot-on tones!! Definitly a must-have, or at least need to have an eye on it☺️

      I tested it with 18V both sounded the same. both sound more open and less compressed at 18V. I did the test with 9V because most of them work with 9V.

    Wow, great comparison, thank you. They sound almost identical. Where did you buy the LY-Rock KoT and which version (gain options)? I can only find it on Aliexpress (or Ebay China) and I have to select 1 of 4 gain options. I was about to order the 68 pedals KoC, but this video changed my mind ;-) [shipping to Germany needed]

    • @Schnuffelmonster
      @Schnuffelmonster 3 роки тому +1

      hm, considering the built-in switchable hi-gain option of the 68 pedals KoC, wouldn't the KoC be the more versatile choice? Especially when operated with 18V the difference between LY-ROCK KoT and 68 pedals KoC might become negligible, what do you think?

    • @gregorist-gregorbrewczynsk5269
      @gregorist-gregorbrewczynsk5269  3 роки тому +5

      thanks, i bought it on ebay, that was actually a coincidence because i actually wanted to buy the 68 pedals (for the second time). For me, the LY-ROCK is currently the best clone of the king of tone. I have the option higain red side

      @gregorist-gregorbrewczynsk5269  3 роки тому +4

      @@Schnuffelmonster I also tested it with 18v and there was no sound difference between all three. With the 68 pedals you have to activate the internal high gain switcher otherwise the sound dies when you turn down the gain pot and then it just sounds dull. for me they are useless. I am currently shooting a video where it is also shown.
