Analogman King of tone VS LY-ROCK King of tone (Clone) The Best clone of King of tone
First of all, I apologize for the optical 1 to 1 copy, that was not my intention.
I actually wanted to order a 68 Pedals King of clone (on Ebay) again, but then this pedal came and the sound blew me away - it also sounds like the feeling when playing.
So far the best King of tone clone for me.

At high gain, the noise level is clearly higher on the King of Clone. Even so, great pedal all around. I believe there was more gain on the Clone right channel, and more gain on the Tone left channel, but just a scratch. Great video, tks.

LY-ROCK has more gain compression and a little brighter prominent mid. Why I always have an EQ on my board.

I spent over an hour listening to the back and forth between them on every different type of speaker I had, even forcing my son to play parts back for me to blindly compare them. I genuinely think the Ly-Rock sounds noticeably better.

@@waltuhhimself For me, the lyRock is a little better, but that's a matter of taste. Whether they both come from the same company would be news to me. I like the Analogman pedal more, but since modding the hell out of my Pro Jr lately, adding 3 additional tone stacks, a presence mod, a bright and fat boost mod, replacing the ribbon cables that connect the tube sockets with the main board, adding a 12 stage attenuation circuit, and an adjustable bias mod.....I don’t think I need pedals anymore, other than a small reverb pedal.

Don't forget it is not just how it sounds. They probably feel different to play. And KoT is made with quality components and the quality control in Anlogman in general is something else. The Clone has cheap components and lacks of quality control comparing to Analogman. The clone will more likely break in year or two. Let that sink in.

Volume and gain are reversed in the clone. Clone, Gain is on the right and Volume on the left, so the settings of the pots in the video are not identical. Did the same test, the results are virtually identical. Remember, components have a tolerance, especially pots sometimes 20%. I was able to adjust both pedals so that they were practically indistinguishable in a blind test. The Clone costs only 10% of the Ray and sounds, if at all, maybe 2-3% "different". The Clone is easy to build, some experience in soldering, check components before mounting carefully.
