I don't have the rankings right now but from what I remember it was Top25 from all judges. And with a second device I think if money is really not an issue, you can go with MK2 but it's not drastically necessary as yet.
Thanks BreZ! With this video I can be sure that it was the right decision to get the Mk1 instead of the Mk2. Thanks for all your tutorials, these helped me a lot! I have a question, I intend to make loop with other instruments to play popular music and rock n roll, and im looking for a MKII on septemeber when im going to US to buy mine (in brazil we dont have them). My question is: Can i plug two microphones, and bypass one, so that doesnt enter the loop mix, just goes straight to the amps, and the other onde (a condenser) goes thru the loop mix?
brez you are so inspirational i really want to start looping and this just made we want it do it more and i hope i become a future looper when i can. This helped me out so much thank you brez :)
I bought the MkII, and it's really fucking hard to learn from scratch, it's overwhelming. It takes too much time geeking on it, and because I don't have that time and the motivation, I've sent it back. The Mk1 looks a bit easier and more straight forward with its configuration
I'm now on my 2nd Mark 1, I sold it because i felt i was over doing it & bought a 202 . I create loops for my many songs , i have about 50 songs i play regular, i create backing tracks basically & the play live vocals, harmonica , keys over the tracks.. The 202 didn't quite do it for me , so i bought another 505. I've also got Kaoss pad which i use as an effects processor. & i'm still learning it so i may add pre-loaded loops on that too. Thanks to your very helpful Videos , i held off selling my gear to get a Mark 2 , & I'm so glad . So thank you, thank you , I will buy you a nice coffee one day. My Live set up is a Vox continental 73 note going into the 505 . I also play a Korg wave drum which i mix in on the 505 audio. I put my mike thru the 505 & each song has 5 pre-looped tracks , which i can edit & re-loop live.. I set up the 202 , with a separate mike for members of the audience or extra singers. as i do community singing , encourage rappers to join me. I play small pubs , clubs, church groups & sometimes in summer festivals. Everything goes thru a Bose Pa system & sounds great. Yes the Mark 1 is all i need , & once again , your reviews helped me immensely.

Question. With 2 XLR inputs and 2 1/4 inch jack instrument inputs and 3 stereo outputs, is the Mark 2 capable of playing more vocals/instruments into it and more speakers out from it at the same time (if you have more than one person performing) ?
In terms of outputs you can split and choose which tracks go where. That's pretty cool for mixing. As for the inputs, yes, there are more input possibilities than MK1.

In conclusion, life is tough 😂
I've sold the 505 MK 1 and got me the RC 500 (2 chanell). I wont say i regret it (audio quality is great), but i sorely miss the 505 mk 1. The simplicity and the fun factor of the mk 1 is unbeateble. I'll try to get one again second hand (altough they are rare nowdays), or go with the mk 2 otherwise.
I have one available but in the netherlands
I wish it was easy to get a MK2 here in germany. Looking since November to get one, but every store I called said, that they won't have any until March(!).
If anyone knows where to get one, please let me know. 👋
Damn, Thomann sent me an email, from Germany, saying they had MK2s lol
@@BreZBeatbox oh man, you must be kidding 😮💨, I just called them monday. What should I do...?
@@gabriel_loops1323 I don't know, seems as if the stock goes down pretty fast !
@@BreZBeatbox Well, guess I'll just preorder and pay 619€ to wait until they restock.
Finally this video 🖐️
Thank you BreZ
Bro..why you dont use both of them at the same time?
Because I travel and do shows. I don't want to have 2 devices, just one.
thx dude !
The ? is... does the Mk1 do ANYTHING the MK2 can't?
I dont agree. THe 505 mki will get more expensive as it is harder to buy, or at least hold its value. its a classic like the rc 50. in england still impossible to get the mkii
Perhaps yes. I simply made my research before doing this video. I saw many second MK1s for 250-300 euro here in France. And the MK2 is available on so many websites. I guess it depends where you live. ;)
@@BreZBeatbox For sure.
3:08 nice example, i'll get a mki now
You da best
Well done. You have provided all the information for those who want to choose between the two models. 👏👏👏
Who can get it in a spain shop?
Quien en españa lo puede encontrar en stock?
Malaga8 en Madrid. Prueba ahí
@@alvaroaprr Gracias
I want mk2 bcz mk2... i dont care what ppl say about the bugs, cause in the future i think boss will make some updates, and yeah the first thing i had to find is... 💵, 5 years later, ill buy mk2 (estimating haha)
Merci pour cette vidéo qui m'a permis de prendre une décision. Otherwise ur English is perfect. And personnaly, i come from Bretagne, i follow from ur first youtube video. Ur the best !!! I hope one day i see you in beatbox event. Esh !!!
❤️
Thank you
There s no mk1 s in my country
Just get both and use the mk1 as a midi controller! Yay control!
Why have 2 machines when you can have only one on stage ? :). I do many shows each year, I want to travel with just one loop.
@@BreZBeatbox Personally, I'm using the 505 as a midi controller and resampler and it works great, hard to transport though, you are correct on that
Bro you didn't even explain what the mk2 can do that mk1 can't... This is why i came here
Here after watched battle with rythmind mk1 vs mk2 wkwk
