Number one rule of electrical work, cut it long and never go wrong.
Cloud is the chillest dog in the world. I love him. 🥰
I love Jax’s laugh 🤭 sparks joy!!
Thanks for calling us friends, it's sounds so much better than guys. Hey, just last evening I learned about roofs of this design and thought of your round house; it would be GREAT. It's called Hyperbolic Paraboloid and is only 1 1/2 inches thick with a span as large as you want. Norman Foster a great architect has used it often in his designs and you could too. It's still very early in your build, so changing the plans a bit should be pretty easy and the results- AMAZING.
Ok, that's all the good news I have for you today... the goat barn is looking good; you may want to search for some industrial vinyl tiles for the floor as simple linoleum won't last very long. Have a great day filled with fun.
You guys s are crazy 😜
This project is a great learning experience. To prepare ya'll for framing in your home. You know your guard dog is busy at night protecting his homestead when he sleeps during the day😊
It really is, learning lots of new skills on this one!
So pleased to see such progress in your lives. Can you believe how incredible it is that your child could dream big and create such change? Just fantastic!
FOAMY, HAVE A BLESSED WEEK AMEN.
I am very selective about channels I subscribe to, meaning that I have very few subscriptions. However, a year or two ago, I subscribed. I have NEVER hit the notification bell. I just did - and it’s all because of Adali! You are beautiful, smart and incredible. I look forward to watching you and your siblings grow up and see what you do as adults. You’re doing great. I love goats (and all animals) too!
I needed the laughs this morning, my father-in-law passed away last night. Love you all.❤
Be kind to yourself and know his eternal soul is A- Okay
So very sad when we lose our ‘parents’. Take care.
Remember the love and the laughter. It makes it easier to cope. Been there too many times myself. Blessings on his loved ones and friends.
The Supervisor works so hard on these projects! 🤍😆
Ashley, you make me smile and laugh outloud. I wish I was your neighbor. You and Johnathan are wonderful examples of how to be responsible and make it fun. Lucky kids.
I don’t know why, but this is one of my favorite videos you guys have done. I was smiling the whole way through 🙂
You're doing electrical, and you're down to the WIRE! Perfect!!
Yay, Kyle! I loved seeing his dome and super cool building techniques and experiments when you toured his home. Great to see Kyle again. :)
Looking great. The goats will be nice and cosy when it’s cold and cooler when it’s hot. This is looking great already.I think it’s a really clever idea having all things related to the goats in one area. The container being so long is such a bonus for that..Now all the electric is sorted, and the foam in ,it will soon be finished.Great job so far..Love n Hugs to you all 🥰
There is something about watching spray foam insulation. It is quiet and therapeutic!
It is so exciting to see it all come together------SO FAST.
You’re going in 20 days what usually takes months and months! Excellent job!
We had our attic spray foamed and we love the result! That stuff is amazing. Almost as amazing as your family!
Love how well your family works together. 😊😊
Would be a good idea to also add a ground rod and ground the outside of the container with it having a steel frame. Protect against any electrical bleed. 😊
We'll be covering grounding when we install the batteries and inverter.
@@TinyShinyHome I figured you would. Your a very intelligent person who does his homework. But incase someone misses that episode or fast forwards (heaven forbid). Just thought I'd bring it up. 😉
@michaelrust7614 It is better to be told about something when you already know it than to Not Be Told and come a cropper. Old way of saying meet with a real disaster. I didn't know this, and I am glad of the knowledge which you supplied.
An interesting day of work for all of you and Kyle. ❤ All of your goats will be strutting around their goat barn knowing it is "Up Town". On with the next video, please.
As always I'm just amazed at the level of work tou all do! Firget a goat barn, this could be an awesome human home!!! Wow!!! Way to go, its absolutely fantastic!!!
thanks for switching days! all the other UA-camrs I watch regularly are Mon Wed or Fri so you are what I look forward to now on Tues/Sat!!
Ashley's dad looks like such a boss in the slo-mo at :26. :)
Thank you so much for sharing I know you will finish before baby goats arrive. The KIDS will love this new home. Your family works together so well. Soon my family will do the same. Love mamaZ
Great video, as always. It was fun to see Kyle again (his home was amazing). Thank you all for your hard work and sharing with us. Excited to see baby goats in the Legend Dairy Goat Barn! ❤
Good morning how are you folks doing today everybody's having a great day out there so keep up the good work
I love this family. 🤙💪🙌🏻
Hi guys, hallo alex from milan Italy 🇮🇹💙💚💜🇺🇸
Ahhh the joys of electricity! Yalls videos of how you do these things is amazing. I've learned so much on how to do things. ❤
Morning John, and Ashley ,I love to see you our coming almond so well. With the new kids coming soon, it will be a great new world for you all .Praying that all Is well With all your children. Sending my love and God's blessings to you all, stay safe, You all our doing a wonderful job.Wanda In N E Corner of Ok Bartlesville,Ok.
"This is stupid, who wires corners?" I love that. This is totally something I would say to my husband while getting annoyed with one of our projects 🤣🙌🏼 I am in stitches 😅
Wonderful job, I am thoroughly enjoying the process!❤❤❤
You all got a lot done even with the insulation. Looks great. When you get the plywood up will change the looks altogether.
I'm glad to see you're running your wires up high! How many circuits? What size breakers? Any GFCI outlets or breakers? All the wires look really nice. Nice gromet wiring through the container! Boy, Jax is such a "For the Content" type of son! That was funny doing the pull ups between the ceiling joists Ashley! That was a lot to remove and then you got everything covered in preparation for the spray foam. That's great that Adali painted the sliding door. Yay Kyle! Nice spray foam job! It's nice to see Kyle again! Wow, R21 in two inches of foam! Wow, it seems very safe. Thanks for going over that. I'm so glad to hear it's done off gassing in 4 hours! He didn't spray the inside of the one plywood wall? Wow, that's a lot of scraping! Thanks for the Tuesday and Saturday heads up! Thanks for this video Longnecker family. Adali, I think you did a wonderful job designing this wonderful Legend Dairy Goat Barn!
Thanks! We have several GFCI outlets and 6 total breakers. Will probably cover the details in a future video.
@@TinyShinyHome Thanks for letting me know. You guys think of everything! I'm so impressed with Adali's design. You both I'm sure are very proud of her!
7:58 cut in the middle towards the end and use the ground wire as a ripper for the jacket. Rennet to score the jacket 3/4-1”” at entry.
You guys crack me up i so enjoy your video's and progress.
You are all incredibly talented. God bless you.
Howdy to all the Homies , love seeing the welder coming back out.(good tease shot) spent many years exploring and living in the desert. got to see how different building materials stand up to the harsh weather and which ones fail. found old shacks that were made of wood, and the only thing left was the iron nails .hinges and door knobs. , the buildings made with clay, rock (and bottles) do very well. MUCH LOVE ...
I think the spray foam is the best thing you could’ve done for container, especially in the desert
Love it! I want one!!! I gotta say, I miss y’all’s more frequent videos, but it does make the build seem to go by much faster but only seeing y’all Tuesdays and Saturdays! 💗 Can’t wait for baby goats!! 🐐
You're doing great on your timeline....we are going on 3 years for a basement remodel...aghhhh...Definitely no one in my family is as motivated as you guys....😆😁
Too funny.... JAX WHINING ABOUT GETTING A CHANCE TO PROOVE HE COULD GET THE WIRE AROUND THE CORNER!! 😂😂
Im loving watching the kids learn new skills and how eagerly they are accomplishing them...go kiddos....😊
This is going to be a great business. Great job everyone. ❤
I know this is about 2 months late for a comment about the wiring. But as I was watching Ashley trying to run romex in the goat barn through a corner. In the future if you strip the romex back about a 12-24” to a single conductor. Cut the remaining conductor off, wrap the ends and the insulation with electrical tape making it a smooth transition between the single conductor and the rest of the romex wire. This will normally allow you to snake the romex around corners or whatever you want it to go. This technique also works well if you have a wire snake you can attach your romex to the snake using the electrical tape to make a smooth transition between the conductor and the snake.
I hope this will be useful in your future projects. My wife Amy and I have really enjoyed your video and wacky funny family and animals. Keep up the great work
I wrote I could not hear this UTube... I watched this today, the day after and the volume is present. My phone must have decided to pout yesterday. . thank you again. Love the building. . blessings darlings from Granny Linda
Wow, great new project!!!😊🎉❤
Very clever name, Legend Dairy Barn.
Can’t remember if you are or if you considered putting a center of the floor drain in the goat area? Your progressing really fast. The kids are such a great help. Can’t wait to see the four legged kids. 🤗
Nope, no drains. We'll just sweep and squeegee out the big door.
Life is always one day at a time.
Thank you for all the great video and sweet background tracks. At 13:33 ... about rust. Folks, remember this is the desert, where you might find an abandoned machine that appears to be rusted beyond saving. But as Ashley and Jonathan tell us, it's only surface rust here, not rust-cancer like they have in marine environments. Such corrosion easily dealt with tomorrow or 10 years from tomorrow.
I am always amazed that viewers of UA-cam’s have to question everything the person does. I am sure you would never put something in that would risk your goats or your children. And to be concerned about a little rust? I’m also sure that you checked that out before you purchased the trailer.
I love how you are careful in your budget planning and in getting quality items for each build.
Forget about goats, this makes a nice home for one of the kids. You need only 3 more.
First thing I thought was why didn't you mask the floor. Live and learn. Thank You for sharing your journey.
Wishing you guys the best hoping this dolls get done. And then you can add all the finishing touches later.
Bonjour la famille. Ashley merci beaucoup for the orange morning sky !!! Pulling electric wire is a challenge on any day. Not so easy peasey!
You guys had me laughing. The conversation about ... well let's not and say we did !
I just had my metal garage spray foamed because of condensation. I love it and it makes the building so solid! The goat barn is looking great. I love cloud, he is so chill. Use to work for a breeder that bred Pyrenees. They’re wonderful dogs!!
Tuesday & Saturday 🎉🎉
Thumbs up 👍
You guys are rocking this project!!
Thank you for having nice long "outros" that give me time to like the video _after_ watching it.
I used to wire mobile homes in 1987 until a strike. We used metal tubes & plates to protect wire from drywall screws. Kool spray foam, it will help.
this decission will bring more subs due to expected rutine for up dates !! great decission guys!!
I just want to say I love you guys you all always make my day
I'm enjoying watching. I've shouted at your antics when fencing. I have learn a lot at some things, the steel window frames.
I will never buy a property that has spray foam or have spray foam added to any building i own. My insulation go to is wool. Natural, cheap and fire retardant. I have never seen or heard of any rodent problems with wool insulation. .
I like your idea to post Tuesdays and Saturdays. Good luck with the planned finish date, Nature has her own agenda and those little bundles of fun and harassment will arrive when things are most inconvenient
Plenty of hard mahi (work) you got this guys. 🇳🇿
What language is mahi?
@@damogranheart5521 Māori
@@damogranheart5521 Māori - Māori, or te reo Māori, commonly shortened to te reo, is an Eastern Polynesian language spoken by the Māori people, the indigenous population of mainland New Zealand. A member of the Austronesian language family, it is closely related to Cook Islands Māori, Tuamotuan, and Tahitian.
It looks so good! Pretty fancy for goats.Adali could live there. Lol. Can't wait for the next video..
Opps, I think I saw the nailer plates in the quit zoom walk through 👍
I keep forgetting to say this. I have noticed in the close-ups of your livestock guardian dog, that the nose is unpigmented on the top, and there are signs of sunburn. In Australia, where the sun is stronger, this is always a worry. I have had to put several white nosed pets down when their skin cancer became advanced and they were too old for the surgery. There have been experiments with tatooing the nose to give it pigment, but I have not checked out how well it works. You should probably check out appropriate sun-screens for dogs (ones that are not toxic if they lick it.)
Love following your story!
Martha
looking good and glad you are roofing the container more water and right where it will be needed
My hubby has a spray foam business up here in AK. It's a universally good product whether you live in a desert in the south or up in Alaska in the frozen wilderness! Oh, thank you for the hilarious banter about tools... I died laughing to think of what was going on in your son's head as he was filming you two!!
Great job
As always, a wonderful video. I’m loving the videos about the goat barn. So excited to see the baby goats soon!❤
I can’t wait to see how this comes together!!
You can also fix the grind off the rust before roofing. I love your videos. Can’t wait to start me own shipping container build
Youse guys are GOOF-BALLS - and I LOVE IT - THANKS YOU for the GIGGLES
7:59 lol that’s what she said 😂😂😂
You guys just make my heart and face smile! Great job! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
My kind of building with wood 😊😊❤
Great job guys, it's looking good.
At 3:39 - you need something in a u shape - like a bit of bendable wire poke it in the side of the gap and feed the wire through the wall then pull back, thereby dragging the yellow wire forwards. Won’t help you with this build but will if you need to on the house!
Or drill a bigger hole.
@@freddymax5256Well, yes. There is that school of thought.
I love your videos so much!!! It’s like watching my favorite tv show and being excited for the next episode! Can’t wait to rewatch all of your videos a couple years from now!🥰
Hi guys, I see you are struggling with the corners. Look up California corner. It's a way of framing your corners in an L shape. This way you just have to drill through one 2x4 or 2x6 whatever you are working with. You use it on all partitions that are tying into each other. It also allows you to get insulation behind the corners. Good luck.
Lots of progress! Great job everyone!
Yeah coming along nicely! ❤
Looking good guys!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you ❤
Awesome job Shiny family thanks for the foam insulation and rusting tips. Love the solid work you all do while the rest of us watch.😊 Will you add memberships to the Channel?
I was so impressed with your pushups , for a short minute. LOL
Hello 👋 ❤❤❤❤❤❤ looking good ❤😊
Lookin good guys
love the project---love you guys..see ya saturday
I'm so inspired!
I believe mini split should use orange romax, had before yellow on my 12kbtu split system and it was really struggling with it. Once I've installed orange, it was smooth sail. Also If you are bringing power to container I would use at least orange (30amps). In any case, party! 🎉
A 12k mini split only needs a 20a breaker so 12/2 is perfect for that. Plus ours is only a 9k.
Great job ❤
Love the look of the inside of the connex. Good job framing for having never done it before. Are you going to use nailer plates over where wires run through the studs and rafters. To protect wires from future screws and nails?
You bet 👍🏼
Turn the floor boards over reuse same holes
Noooooo I can't wait 4 days ahhhhhh
Great job.
JAX is such a jocker!
Joker?
