- Eric Bales and Joe Bonamassa jamming at the KTBA VII at Sea cruise playing Eric Gales song "I Want My Crown" on Feb 24, 2022 in The Stardust Room on the Norwegian Cruise . Keb' Mo' does the intro.
Whenever Bonamassa and Gales get together for a jam, you just KNOW its gonna be good!
This is absolutely INSANE! THE BEST BLUES ROCK JAMM I've ever heard!
Even when Joe is no here.
Doesn't get better than this. The pinnacle of blues rock soloing.
Eric plays Joe Bonamassa Gibson les paul studio...
Two of the current blues goats. Incredible as always
Eric is epic. Its good to see him back and healthy. Such a great player/person. Its great to see Joe jamming with him.
It's so good to see them both enjoying their success and having fun!! They've both done so well and always enjoy sharing their stage with others...that is real evidence of their humility and being willing to be taught, even at their stage of talent. Since no one can see the heart of another person, we get a glimpse of it by one's actions and words. Both men have shown the fruit of humility and love for their fellow players. Good job, men! Music in general & blues in particular is better because of you! ✌️❤️
Gales don’t bend strings, he bends the fabric of SPACE!
I believe it has to do with playing the guitar 🎸 upside down… Very different angles for the string bending and a different intonation… ??? What ever it is, its great!!
Love watching & listening to Eric Gales. He's Kool & on stage with Joe Bonamasa.Damn Awesome.
Eric got the honey, Joe got the money.
I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing Eric Gales for the first time for my 72nd birthday on 2/8/24. Love him!!! Sorry I didn’t know him sooner but I’m making up for the time lost 😁🎶🎶❤️
Just two of the WORLDS BEST 🎸🎸LIVING LEGENDS cause they are out there DOING IT 🌎CLASS
Great to see Joe being like a bother to him! Love hearing both of them!
Easily the GREATEST Blues guitar performance of all time! This history here folks!
Indeed! 👍🏾
I agree, totally best
Nah check out "Who killed John Henry live" that IS THE BEST duel ever.
@@selphproductions3153 meh....it was good Gales duo here with Joe was MUCH better IMHO
Both guys are sick good players
come on Gales , there is no fucking way you been playing a guitar upside down the first time! This is just an amazing fight with the referee dancing in the background and judging !!!! LOVE IT ABSOLUTLY LOVE IT !
Two of the very best, sensational!
Great musician's and its quite remarkable how John Mclaughlins solos from 50 some years ago is so present.
Says a lot of Mclaughlins importance for electric guitar playing.
Good call, definitely has John McLaughlin sound. Must be the exotic scale they are using
That underbite is something else man
Insane! What the hell just happened!
eric killing but JOE IS ON FIREEEEE MAN you can tell it from the first lick he's trained like Rocky 3 for this moment , just out for blood !!! the elephant in the room !! Ufffff someone clear that smoke and have mercy and get me a cigar and a drink to have some strength to watch this again !
Two outstanding musicians that get it. They compliment t each other flawlessly and have great respect for each other and the instrument. When is this cruise? I would love to be present just for this! Thanks fellas!
These 2 together is always just fantastic. Can you imagine Joe and Eric in Rock Candy and playing together on a tour every show>? I loved Josh with Joe but wish he and Joe had more interaction.

Lordhammercy!👏🏾👏🏾💯💣🎸🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾🤘🏾👍🏾🤯this just made my weeek! Fuck a day!
Going up against Eric Gales takes balls. The fact that Bonamassa went up against him and _didn't_ get handed his lunch, though Joe is no slouch, is pretty noteworthy. Anyone going up against Gales is a stretch. The man's a legend. New subscriber.
You're a rookie, but you got ears and guts. Joe got a nice cap, don't say the contrary.
@@BlueLou974 Excuse me?

Серьёзный разговор!!!👏👍👏
☝👍☝👍☝
Has a Huey Lewis feel to it
what scales are they using?
You can't hear his vocals 😮
I did not know that Bonnamassa is that good
i saw both last yr,joe in boston,phenomenal show,eric in portsmouth,n.h.,very very good,joe b solos are crazy good.the tone a+
Really? Joe is top notch blues player since a kid. Check him out when he was young. Gales is just plain insane playingbwith reversed and upside down strings.
Joe's tone is great! Is the Dumble in there?
Looks like a Twin and a Klon, good stuff! Haha
What's this scale?😅
Top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top top
i like you
Most people won’t realise how hard that double picked phrase is at 8:04
I think most people will realise how hard most of the phrases are in this!
And he's playing his Gibson upside down to boot.
2:40
Oops
Is it me or does JB look like Chevy Chase here!
Whose gonna learn the lick at 1:56 ?? Omfg that’s so filthy lol
If they both keep practicing...
As a lefty
Why couldn't gale just get a lefty Les Paul
And string it Albert king style??
You've got to have monster hands to overcome
The reverse cutaway
His strings are also upside down! He learned to played upside down and backwards....nuts!
It’s still not a fair fight, because Eric strings his guitar upside down with the bass string on the bottom. To make it fair they both should play it the same way, either Erics way or Joe’s way…. I think if Joe Bonamassa had to play the guitar, strung upside down, he couldn’t do it. Just my opinion.
Nah that's how Eric plays.
I think it puts you at a disadvantage playing upside down
You can not ever play proper chords
And certain phrasing.
But the upside down righty
Has worked for Albert king.
It can work for gale
There is one guitarist who beat up both of them in any guitar battle … Greg Koch….
Tow greats, but Gales is more interesting than JB.
JB abuse of the quintuples, that tire me.
как этот бонамасса научил обезьяну играть в гнесенки человека научить не могут .
empty music relying on monotonous tech tricks
Naw
Just don’t like Bonamassa, corny, self indulgement, flashy show off, musicaly void, the guys have put up with him because of his commercial success, feel for them. Now Eric he is authentic, the real thing…..
Guy has worked his butt off and has given more than he has taken. Gales owes a lot of his resurgence to JB. He always speaks highly of fellow musicians. If you could play like either one of these guys, you may want to “show off” a little too. As for corny, who cares? There’s enough pompous assswipes out there.
@@bluzzjazz Agreed except he's right about the narcissistic part. I appreciate everything Joe B has done for the Blues. God bless him. Give me a ticket to either of their shows and Im there. I really want to see Gales. He's around soon in NJ. Joe B is always everywhere. I'm in the mood for Eric.
@@Dcat7966 I hear you. They are both scary good. I'm a fairly decent player and then you listen to them and it's yeah, that's several more levels. First time I heard Give Me Back My Crown, I thought this is some great guitar interplay.! I've never seen either live but I've watched both perform and it is uncanny how clean they play.
Not. Two great players/people here.
Well.....I think it's called having fun!
Imagine Eric Gales playing James Hetfields parts if he covered Metallica? Everything would have to be an upstroke.
Evenly matched, I'd say..
Fantastici
SEIGNEUR Eric Gales totally gets and recontextualizes His Majesty THE Jimi for today. But Bonamassa, when on his own, to this player, anyway, always takes a curator's frozen-in-amber take of early Beck, early Page, Free-frozen Kossoff, and throws in a roped-off docent tour of sounds and abounds, circa 1967-early 1970s, as if 1974 were the cut-off date. Bonamassa's approach denies that a Journey to Love, School Days, Blow by Blow, Wired ever happened, Gregg Howe never went beyond just some kid trying out the axes at Guitar Centre, and Stanley Jordan remains that forever odd kid at the same store, staring at the axe selection, with The Big Idea in his head.
HOWEVER, whenever MASTER Gales is sharing the stage, Bonamassa suddenly becomes his own man, rips up the museum tour book, throws out the deference, and goes for FIRE.
Well, I mean, Eric kinda does that with the archivist players: Josh Smith, Joe, they all throw away the catalogue and write a new book when sharing a stage with Gale-force Eric. Greatness kinda does that....every time.
