I'm from a non-technical background, and I often hear course providers claim that graduation isn't required or that anyone with a degree can pursue a career in data analytics or data science. However, in reality, I've noticed that most companies, including my own, predominantly hire computer science graduates even for data analytics roles. I still don't understand why these courses are marketed as being suitable for everyone when the industry seems to prefer a technical background.
While it's true that computer science graduates are often preferred, there are also many successful data analysts with diverse backgrounds. It's all about demonstrating the right skills and experience.
