  • Horror version! Winter blizzard camping in a snow storm in the northern wilderness in cold tent. Scary Version. The forecast said 26m/s or 58mph winds with minus ÷7°c or 19°F. I did this trip to test my gear for survival on arctic mountain winter trips above the tree-line, where you will not find trees for shelter or wood for a fire. I wanted to see what the weak and strong points of my gear was. I could have built a snow wall but needed to test the tent without one.
There are old stories about this forest
Horror stories about people disappearing in the woods in winter
of strange broken shapes in the night.....
Disturbing Encounters Caught on Camera, can you spot them?
    Enjoy the video!
Gear list for this trip is towards the end of the video.

    Safety Notice:
Ghosts in the forest are not to be trusted, especially not during a blizzard. They may or may not be real and can show up in the strangest places, like in this video. They may or may not be angry and they may or may not leave you alone. They may or may not leave you alive💀
About me: I am a Norwegian adventurer and wilderness explorer. My youtube channel focus on outdoor wilderness adventures and exploration, backpacking, hiking, canyoneering, skiing, climbing and mountaineering. Nights spent in a tent, alone or with friends. From the snow covered mountains and misty fjords of Norway and Scandinavia to the remote plateaus of Yellowstone and the debts of the red canyons of Utah to the summit of Mt Whitney and the heart of Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park. I love the Wilderness! Email is under "For business inquiries", for general questions please comment on a video, I try to answer everyone.

Helsport Svalbard 6 Camp Zelt ⛺️
Have you seen anyone use it? Is it a strong tent suitable for strong snowstorms or strong winds?
Or is the cylindrical, tunnel-shaped shape (Helsport Camp 3) more robust and more suitable for storms, snow, and strong winds?

Tremendous respect for anybody who does this without a hot tent. It requires amazing skill and courage. As far as I am concerned, anyone who resorts to camping with a hot tent might just as well stay home and camp out in their living room.

Nice video. As a snow backpacker I would suggest during the strong wind. Use the shovel to make a bit dipper hole for the tent. And all snow use as a wall from the wind side. It will provide less pressure on the tent, more quiet night.

A worthwhile watch .. even though I now, after 73 Summers, do not foresee myself ever camping out in those conditions.
Preparation and setup .. as seen with your Tent. One must do it thoroughly .. and then some more. This could (most probably will) prevent lots of 'hanna-hanna' later with the initial discomfort /effort having being well worth it.
I hope that those who watched this presentation have looked and learned. That said, should some Ghoul come scratching on your tent during the early hours of the morning 😱 .. I don't have an answer for that 😏.
Thanks for sharing .. take care ..

It seems like no matter how harsh the weather is you pitch your tent with what appears to be a minimum of effort & record a video at the same time.
10:29; Yes, I definitely wanted to see the coffee making footage as part of this video.
Loved the Halloween scary footage which caught me by surprise.
My take away is putting wet gloves on my shoulders to speed the drying out process. Same could apply for a pair of wet socks.
I've seen more snow in your videos than I have in real life.

I am very curious about WHERE in Norway you are🤔🤔Can it be in Hessdalen? I have`nt seen the surrounding mountains, but then I would have known because I have been a LOT in Hessdalen and experienced a LOT of things there, the most experiences was not so scary, but special, and not many have seen and heard what I have up there. (and i have heard others stories) Hessdalen is Norways hot spot for UFO`s and more. I have been in blizzards, but it always look worse to watch a video then be there. It is harsh, yes, and the wind get you cold very fast. Thank`s for sharing.

I am not sure what you mean by that answer? 🤔 That I experienced in Hessdalen was NOT ghosts, but UFO`s,🛸🛸aliens👽👽 all the elements in the wood, I have them on a picture too, but they are like orbs with eyes, noses and mouths, some smiling, some not, and there are small fairies too on my cloths,🧚🧚‍♂🧚‍♀visible. Picture taken by one of those who attended me to Hessdalen that time. (I have ghost`s in my house here in Sweden, but that is another story). well, maybe you was up at the mountain-areas in and around Røros or Gudbrandsdalen then?? Hessdalen have the most beutiful flat mountain-tops I have been on, if you have`nt been there, I recommand you to go there, easy to walk (and drive) and you can see far away. I LOVE THE NATURE THERE AND THE ENERGY. 😇🙏🙏Ps. have you seen ghost`s? UFO`s? ET`s?👻👻🙋

Would not a Hilleberg Black Label tent be more robust and perform better in the harsh conditions and high winds you camp in? ⛺

Setting-up the tent : what a wrestling with the extremely severe elements ! The howling blizzard blowing the icy flocks into your face ! And then regularly consoliding the tent with snow so that it's strong enough to "hold". You heroically got through all of it, Jarl, you survived gloriously... As I already wrote : the pinetrees : awesome christmas-postcards ! And this intense loneliness....After your hard work Jarl I'm afraid 1 or 2 little waffles will not have stilled your hunger....- Were you inspired by the fantastic stories you perhaps read as a little boy ? "What are those chilling sighs, granny? - It's only the song of the elfes in the blowing wind, my boy..." - "Did you hear that frightening screaming, daddy ? - It's the the mountain-kings wife who yells for help, my son" - "Did you see that horrible skeleton, mummy ? - It' s nothing but an ugly naked pinetree that has lost its needles, my boy..." Halloween huuuuuuuuhehehehhuuuuuu..... 😱 😨 😠

Yes.... when one gets older, one often thinks about how beautifull childhood was, with unendless hours of reading stories, and an unbridled imagination.
