Nice fish for sure! I have the same issue with fish appearing out of no-where. I sometimes get fish jumping from breeder box to breeder box somehow. My biggest surprise was an amano shrimp that not just dropped two levels down but two tanks over. What a feat! I know they climb out sometimes, but that was risky business.
I've lost fish by acclimating, and gave up on acclimating and have not lost any fish. I did not acclimate my 5 green phantoms from freshwater exotics, dropped them in, they did great.
but thats me, maybe other people and fish are the opposite.

Setting up my 40 gallon to breed the L134s. How many pairs or how many adults should I start with? Do you recommend adding snails or shrimp? Can they mess with the eggs in the caves? Thanks!
I am looking to get one of these for my South American community tank. They seem to be similar in the sense that they are both hypancistrus and about the same size. Are there any differences in behavior, diet, size, or tank setup? Which one would be better for a single in a 20 gallon community tank? Cheers
