If you like the Aquaclears, you should relly buy Aquael HOB filters. They are way more reliable and stronger. And the motor is very low, so even after an 80% waterchange. It will start by it self, because the impeller is as low down compared to the intake as possable. And the biggest one is like 317 gallons an hour. That is nice for an HOB. And they are long and deep, instead of big front to back. So you can have 2 much wider waterfalls. More silent. AND be able to have the Aquarium closer to the backwall. Trust me, I also loved the Aquaclear, but having an Aquael I think you will never go back! Please try one, they are also 60% of the price of an Aquaclear...
I have 12 set up an 2 on the way. I agree, not always easy to keep up. He does a great job..well thought out fish room. And he's a content creator here on UA-cam.
Love your videos, so informative especially for those of us that want to be able to do what you do. Watching your videos has allowed me to learn how to successfully bred and raise Corydoras and their fry as I have dozens of both Orange Venezuelan Corydoras and Peppered Corydoras all growing out. Also have 4 other types of Cory’s I am attempting to breed to go along with the maintaining 10 various fish tanks. Thank you for the time you put into your videos
Your tanks are immaculate. I really like your racks and how you have different depth tanks on the same rack with no space showing. I just watched your video on how you made them and I was impressed. I never thought of using joist hangers! Nice to see a fish room update too!
The Narrow leave java fern is impressive, because that one is diffuclt because giving it too MUCH light is super easy. And then it will cover the leafes with algae and die, pretty fast actually. Beautiful, andd we have just started! :-D I usulally say sorry for spamming in the comment section, but that is wrong. Because it helps your video evene if it is more comments from the same guy! ;-)
Really, L-183? Don't they get HUGE? Do you know the L number on LDA08? They look amazing to me. I have looked for them in the passed without any luck. Seems like you love ancistrus, why no L032? :-) I love them. Some of them look dark purple blue. And not just when they are small.
I am glad there people like tommy boy in the fish hobby . Cheers tom 🎉 also can you post where you got those huge pre filters from ? There nice and big …❤
I live in Sweden, otherwise I would be all over those Geos! They are so beautiful. Jelous of you plecos like I use to say, I have the L201, that was a misstake! Your L471 looks like mine but just deeper dark and bigger dots. Otherwise they have that same weird little body. I can not even find them in my Famous "Back To Nature Guide L-Plecos", weird. Must have been discored within the last 14 years. That is when the book was released. But the first time I see a video on you tube and I can not find it in my book... Of corse I did not pick them, I did not know they existed! :-D What is the minimum you would buy 10, 12? And what is the ratio males vs females for best succes in your opinion?
My top 5 Corydoras, you have 2 of them. :-D Really nice collection. I have to ask though, are you never in the mood to keep a 200 gallon tank that you aquascape and keep WHAT YOU really want. As pets, not for sale? :-D
It must be fate you uploaded a video on the day I bought 2 L169s and I can leave this comment to tell you that you originally inspired me to start thinking about plecos and broaden my fishkeeping beyond the cichlids and other fish I've been keeping for a long time.
Short answer. Had an LFS go out of business. Bought every acrylic piece he had laying round. Odd ball pieces that didn’t go together, were pieced together to make it work. Best filtration system I’ve ever had.
Great tour Tom! I eventually lost all three of mine from Steph. Unless genetic I have no clue. They grew to a point then didn’t thrive. I wouldn’t try them again. Amazing collection you have!
Dithers will eat any pleco fry that escape the caves. That’s an expensive snack, and completely avoidable. I also keep the lights off my pleco tanks when I’m not in the fish room. Most pleco breeders will tell you they notice no benefit to having dithers with plecos. The main reason people have dithers with plecos is to add some life to the tank, or to use the middle and top water column to breed other fish.
Had to do in two parts ,as usual your tanks are immaculate and fish are beautiful. The Diamond Cory juvenile are adorable 🖤 Thanks .I'm thinking when you make a huge Colony they don't feel the urgency to reproduce ,but when you split that group up it changed the dynamic. Thank you for a great video. 🌿🐟✌
Yes, when the Corydoras colony reaches a certain size, they don’t want to increase competition for food. When the group is split, they reproduce as a means for species survival.
what do you feed your corydoras, I mean I know like blackworms make them spawn, but what is your ordinary food then you have a tank with 150 Coydoras that are semi adult?
I love my Generac generator. Mine is a 4500W portable, not a whole house. If power outages were more common here, I’d consider a whole house, or a larger portable around 8000W.
I swear, Cory made the 134 more popular, because he kept saying he likes them more then the Zebra pleco... They were a third of the prie before he talked about them over 100 times... Then 5-6 years later when he finally gets 12 of them, he can not breed them and give them up after only 1 year. Then Dean got them and are breeding them for Aquarium Coop. Super expensive from aquarium coop. Coincidence or a really smart move....
Hello sir Your Fish room is expensive 😂 Please give me some tips on java fern needle leaf , it us thriving in your tanks with big bushes , mine doesn't growing long enough

You guys better believe it's not as simple as Tom makes it seem to maintain and keep these tanks.

EXTREMELY well taken care of fish room with some beautiful fish!! I sent you a message on the band app about the quad city swap.

@@TMAquatics only thing that could possibly make them better is if there was a model larger than the 110/500.

Tom why no dithers for the plecos? Thought this was interesting.
