Am I just misremembering shit because I'm getting older? I swear even up to D3 we at least concluded the story to a point with the main game and then had another good extension of the story with another full conclusion with the expansion. ofc they are, theyre gonna sell 1 exp for full price a year now with a couple hours worth of content besides charging a mid price game per seasonpass and an indie title per skin. Meanwhile theyre running the "you can still just play with the base game" but Id say with the next exp that will become like 50% of endgame content at best and they will rework base game content and bar it behind buying the exp. They will also most likely introduce WoW like battlechest thing so buying D4 once the next exp comes out, it will include the last ones content (maybe theyll seperate the story from endgame to sell that for 20€ aswell) and due to this they will ensure that at every point in time, buying D4 to play with all its content will never cost below 60€ and always between 60-90€. They will spend maybe a quarter to half of the devhours initial D4 release took within the next years get a handful of D4 releases worth of money.
I don't like the writing or story boarding because it seems very...illogical. They didn't treat Marius with kid gloves the way they have Nayrelle, it just seems...weak and held back. The characters just stand by and do nothing for no real reason, and none of them react to what is happening with any fire or assertion. It's bland.

@@MrMirco003 I bet the majority of those million players don't enjoy it. On Steam, Blizzard games have mixed and overwhelmingly negative reviews. @@MrMirco003 Millions is a gross exaggeration, yeah. The numbers aren't bad for an ARPG though, it's still coasting at over twice PoE's active player count and on downtime hours the population, on average, settles at triple PoE's. Diablo writers have forgotten the point of diablo... the way to defeat hate... is to have EVEN MORE HATRED THAN EVEN THE DEVIL OF HATE... silly writers
It was guaranteed to be mid given how lame Diablo 4 was. The original Diablo 4 story went nowhere and had nothing to say. It didn't involve or need the player to be resolved and then ends without any actual resolution. It was a story about the writer's characters and the player was just a means to force the player to watch the writer's characters talk to each other. And the gameplay was just bad.
40 bucks, and there’s new jungle area, new class, new endgame stuff - dark citadel raid thing (which requires co-op i.e. friends because party finder never works for that type of stuff), mercenaries, new seasonal mechanic, whole new leveling system, a whole bunch of reworked stuff and ~6-7 hours of campaign. Sure it’s filler and we end up going to a place we don’t care about and meet a bunch of people we don’t care about that end up dying to save a girl we don’t really care about instead of defeating the one dude we do care about. My point is that there’s a decent amount of stuff you get for your buck. It’s a shame part of it sucks esp when it’s one of the introductory parts or something you specifically were excited for (cuz it makes it less likely that you’ll continue to the rest of the content) but the new dark citadel content is pretty good. At the end if the day, bliz need to monetize their game somehow. PoE has whales spending thousands on $500 micro transactions, bliz has people spending 40 bucks as an optional one time yearly live service fee to have access to the newest stuff. I mean you don’t expect them to work on it for free, do you? It’s a triple A game and it monetizes like one. Same as destiny’s monetization rly.

Let me get this straight. 1:30:30 we get a PoE style boss (need 100000 hits to be killed and one shots the player) and people complain? Yet, if they get that in PoE they say "wow just get gud".
I was expected ending to be like bad ass we kills demon lord then demon/angel army lead by new villian pops and invade santuary foreshadowing for next expansion (using gore, dark, or bring chaos factors like what D2 cinematic did) then they instead chose to end it with just yapping/storytelling of what is coming next... I'm really disappointed as much as I did on original campaign.
For me it has been laggy and I really hate how the combat and levelling works. This just isn’t an ARPG. They don’t even understand the fundamentals. Feels like you’ve got a kindergartener with a thousand great artists at his command directing this thing. It’s wild.
2 expansions per Prime Evil. The final D4 expansion is a cliffhanger, so you'll actually fight Diablo in Diablo 5. People thought I was nuts when pointing out visual clarity in D4 from the get go is almost as bad as PoE at full character and HH/Mageblood levels of zoom zoom and here we are.

I was bummed my computer is down for the count with the expansion launch coming after watching campaign I no longer bummed and concentrate on getting pc up for POE2
Having to explain to someone in your audience that people do not play diablo IV or POE or similar games for the story and that ultimately the story in the grand scheme of things only has a purpose to provide new areas/maps and enemies is painful and a clear sign of an audience shift.
It WOULD be good, if this was in the base game. When I finished that story my first thought was "where's the rest of the game" and I guess this is what they did with it. This is what happens when they cut up what should have been one story into pieces to sell it later in parts. No thanks
VoH is great. They’ve made things better for players and each season providing quality of life upgrades. As a player that started 2 seasons ago it’s extremely fun to many of us
What he said at the beginning is 100% right, idc where or how my clothes are made as long as they are affordable and good quality, idc how my phone is made as long as it works as advertised and I can use it for my needs. it really is hard to beat diablo 2's story. every single hero from the first game gets corrupted and you have to kill them. the bad guy is always one step ahead of you and the only way to defeat him kills thousands and almost wipes out an entire culture.
i mean it's mostly harder and impossible when you don't even try to tell a full story . You can yeah build lore and stuff for later games and expansion , but there was not even a real conclusion to D4 , unlike every other diablo games . And this expansion just add basically another episode in a endless season of a tv show .
D4 vessel of baited?
Vessel of another billions in profit.. 😏 they get free publicity from blind haters.
@@teachmehowtodoge1737 make sense since a lot of ppl even pre order but i guess if you like the game is fine🤔, that's my opinion tho the game is still not worth my money for the price it asks😅
@@lordvalentin8532 I mean, I always tell people, don't buy the game if you don't see yourself playing it for over 100 hours. For me, it's a good pass time before POE 2 next month. A win2x for me.
Still mad i paid 100 for the original launch. I quit after a week when i would fall asleep literally 5 minutes after booting the game up.....
Yeah, same - played one character to level 55 and then never touched the game again. What a waste of money that was...
Thats what you get and deserve to Support Blizzard 😂🎉
The game changed a lot since launch
Surely with the help of MS Diablo 5 will be worth more than 100 at launch tho. Imagine how much fun you'll have at launch.
i still feel bad for my friend who gifted me this pile of hot shit
Imagine having an asking price of 40 EUR (66% cost of the base game) but only giving 1 area with 1 class compared to base game that had 5 areas and 5 classes, nevermind asking another 120% more for 2x pets, 2x wings, 1 transmog set and 1 mount.
A dog with tentacles. How disappointed
Every video I've watched about D4 and this expansion is people trying desperately to say something good about the game.
Am I just misremembering shit because I'm getting older? I swear even up to D3 we at least concluded the story to a point with the main game and then had another good extension of the story with another full conclusion with the expansion.
What we have now is something I only expect out of a live service game like Destiny or fuck even Fortnite. But no we don't even have that because they're at least free to play. Pay a full box price to get trickled in BS content through "seasons" that don't progress the main plot in any real way for some side story BS that no one gives a fuck about.
I mean I didn't exactly play through D2 or D3 because the story was necessarily captivating or the main reason I bought the game but it at least had me interested enough to find youtube videos on the lore. So far nothing in D4 has made me give a shit enough to bother.
I was waiting for reviews before I decided to buy. Not dropping anymore money until I know what the product is
I played it. Zac is right, the campaign is mid, but the rest are beyond expectations, and my favorite is the dark citadel. I can play that over humdreds of hours. I just wish they add more content on that in the future seasons. The new class is great if you like a fast pace character like a rogue.
@@teachmehowtodoge1737 Don't forget to point out the Dark Citadel is ONLY for 2-4 players. You can't play it solo, so if they're mainly a solo player, then the Dark Citadel does them absolutely no good.
@@teachmehowtodoge1737 the last time I played is the endgame in D4 vanilla. Didnt try any of the seasons because of the disappointments I had in the base game. Is this worth getting into? But maybe I will wait till price drops.
@@FPchienaahh, if you are on the edge after watching gameplay then the answer is no. Game is the same, if you didn't like vanilla, you won't like it now and probably never. I was in the same spot as you, even played couple of seasons and beat Lilith, I made amends that D4 is not for me.
Xpac is good imo. Story isnt great, but I could care less about that. You literally do it once and never again anyway.
if you told me this was diablo3 stream i would believe it
POE 2 it is then, D4 was the game I was sooo hyped for, took a day off work and everything. Ultimately it was a let down though 😢
Bro I took two days off work to play Fallout 76, now I am never buying another Bethesda game ever again till they stop serving shit
Well if this is anything to go by we got 5 more expansions 1 more for Mephisto, 2 for Baal, and 2 for Diablo... Blizzard are trying to milk this lol
ofc they are, theyre gonna sell 1 exp for full price a year now with a couple hours worth of content besides charging a mid price game per seasonpass and an indie title per skin.
It's bland.
inb4 runewords reborn, inb4 mephisto reborn, inb4 more money grabs, inb4 capitalizing more on d2 nostalgia
Diablo 4 has been mid since it dropped. I was hyped orginally and dropped $100 on the ultimate edition and ended up playing for like two weeks max. Waste of money lol.
Game has changed a lot since then
Like why people still play this game or any Blizzard game in general?
As far as I aware, everyone one who play Blizzard come out and say either it's mid or bad even back then too
Millions of people are playing, prob because they enjoy it. Including me.
Yeah millions . Okay @@TheNichq
@@MrMirco003 I bet the majority of those million players don't enjoy it.
On Steam, Blizzard games have mixed and overwhelmingly negative reviews.
Since WoW BoA, I only hear people complaining from random comments and forums to those playing the game on UA-cam and live streams.
People just ain't been happy with Blizzard for a very very long time.
The factual numbers and hypothetical numbers from social media just didn't match with "millions of people enjoying it".
@@MordecaiSPM i don' care about numbers, game fun for me = me playing the game.
@@MrMirco003 Millions is a gross exaggeration, yeah. The numbers aren't bad for an ARPG though, it's still coasting at over twice PoE's active player count and on downtime hours the population, on average, settles at triple PoE's. I hate D4, but it's a pretty popular game for the amount of review bombing it still gets to this day.
"Mid" is just Activision Blizzard's middle name at this point
It's still pretty generous to say this was "MID"...
made the right choice to skip this for POE 2
If you like POE then you like POE. Fact is, most players dont. Its always been a niche game. Hence why D4 has like 10x the playerbase.
always a good idea to skip the filler food and head straight to the good stuff
PoE and Diablo4 are like Escape from Tarkov and Call of Duty…
I'm so glad i didn't jump on the hype in buying the expansion. i would be regretting like crazy by now
Diablo writers have forgotten the point of diablo... the way to defeat hate... is to have EVEN MORE HATRED THAN EVEN THE DEVIL OF HATE... silly writers
Sounds badass
Asmongold is the Bethesda consumer he can't understand but for Blizzard
It was guaranteed to be mid given how lame Diablo 4 was.
The original Diablo 4 story went nowhere and had nothing to say. It didn't involve or need the player to be resolved and then ends without any actual resolution. It was a story about the writer's characters and the player was just a means to force the player to watch the writer's characters talk to each other.
And the gameplay was just bad.
Its wild they charged $70 for one new class... Path 2 is going to have triple digit class choices at this point and it's free lmao..

Bro hard coping.
bro hard raging
Asmon's rating = 5/10
Just so you know you dont get more xp in campaign so just stick to normal difficulty true the campaign then switch.
"They want to make Diablo IV into TV Show that never ends so this DLC had no conclusion, only pointless running around to realise that Mephisto was in another castle, just like Princes Peach. I am really feeling this DLC... to be more specific - hatred - towards it. Don't buy it, you will be dissapointed"
Let me get this straight. 1:30:30 we get a PoE style boss (need 100000 hits to be killed and one shots the player) and people complain? Yet, if they get that in PoE they say "wow just get gud".
We're starting to see a pattern here, Diablo, without Diablo, a Mephisto expansion, without Mephisto.
You fight mephisto
D4 itself was mid for me so this makes perfect sense.
So can you play the current season without buying expansion? Or the next season?
Yes😂
yes you can
If Zach says it's mid. It's mid. Sorry bros.
Glaze
Nah he looked like he enjoyed it he just memeing now saying its bad but during his gameplay he looked like a kid going to a toy shop. He's farming us
Parasocial connecter detected. I'd say mid is quite generous.
It's mid because Blizzard made it mid.
Yes, the campaign is mid but the dark citadel is 10/10 in my opinion.
I was expected ending to be like bad ass we kills demon lord then demon/angel army lead by new villian pops and invade santuary foreshadowing for next expansion (using gore, dark, or bring chaos factors like what D2 cinematic did)
then they instead chose to end it with just yapping/storytelling of what is coming next... I'm really disappointed as much as I did on original campaign.
If anybody should kill Mephisto, it should be a Paladin!
So is Blizzard just gonna keep churning out boring $40 expansions for D4 while GGG keeps adding FREE content to POE and POE2 ?
For me it has been laggy and I really hate how the combat and levelling works.
This just isn’t an ARPG. They don’t even understand the fundamentals. Feels like you’ve got a kindergartener with a thousand great artists at his command directing this thing. It’s wild.
The funniest thing he says is the okay DLC experience, and we will see if he keeps playing it again.
All i ever want it to pet the mephisto wolf in a 70 dollar mount pack.
Welp I’m watching this until I fall asleep 😂
You’re still watching it this moment
@@valentim.mp4nah I fell out
People…this is the second vessel of hatred video. Total of 7 hours, is that the campaign length? See lots of people assuming it lasted 2 hours.
Campaign is like 4 hours
7 or 2 hours is short and piss poor either way
I think this whole expansion was to introduce the spiritborn class. Not even about the prime😊 evils
2 expansions per Prime Evil. The final D4 expansion is a cliffhanger, so you'll actually fight Diablo in Diablo 5. People thought I was nuts when pointing out visual clarity in D4 from the get go is almost as bad as PoE at full character and HH/Mageblood levels of zoom zoom and here we are.
the DLC story is so bad..... what the fk blizzard team doing?
If you are playing an ARPG for the story, you are doing it wrong.
@@TheNichq it’s how you get players excited to stay in that world. Thought you knew.
Story-wise it was straight up bad... I'm disappointed with VoH. I'm on hopium that the next expansion will give me what I want - red boi and his bros.
im playing last epoch
I had a great time playing Last Epoch and learning the game mechanics on hardcore. Where I would die and start the game again with a smile on my face. In total I made 5 different Acolytes, 3 different Mages, 2 different Rogues and 2 different Sentinels. I'll probably play as a Primalist again someday. Diablo 4? I completed the Necromancer storyline on lv55. I deleted the game and never installed it again. LOL.
Just when you thought finally the action is starting... it ended... Even D3 atleast made the campaign good.
"Name one boss?" "Um...I don't know....." Yup sums up Diablo 4 pretty well.
Lilith and Butcher!
I’m so broke and lazy my speakers stopped working last week so I synced up the last half of story missions with you through my phone lol. I thought it was fun, did jaguar build.
Im glad I never bought D4. What an underwhelming sequel and expansion. D3 and Reaper of Souls were objectively better.
And D3 was already bad on its own
it's such a shame... I was never a Diablo player but when the beta of Diablo 4 came out I had so much fun and such high expectations for it, and it just went down the drain from the moment it released
Diablo 4 Season 6 is just the POE 2 waiting room at this point
I was bummed my computer is down for the count with the expansion launch coming after watching campaign I no longer bummed and concentrate on getting pc up for POE2
The best parts of the expansion were the cut scenes. Was ok, but also the last time spending money on Diablo. Time for PoE 2
From "I'm playing the hell out of this!" to "MID".😂
Having to explain to someone in your audience that people do not play diablo IV or POE or similar games for the story and that ultimately the story in the grand scheme of things only has a purpose to provide new areas/maps and enemies is painful and a clear sign of an audience shift.
The only thing I liked about this season is the spirit born class. Season rating 3/10. They need to rekindle the season 4 feeling.
Spiritborn is from the expansion not the season. The season mechanic is the realmwalker stuff
Does anyone know how i can get a refund for the game as time wasted? Is there like a time machine or?
Stopped in season 4 don't miss it.
So what does Mid mean for Blizzard's last chance?
not bad but not good enough to keep playing I think
It means Blizzard is now down to 9,926 last chances left with their fanbase that embarrassingly fell in love with a corporation.
As a player that started 2 seasons ago it’s extremely fun to many of us
Thank god I did not buy the expansion.....
What he said at the beginning is 100% right, idc where or how my clothes are made as long as they are affordable and good quality, idc how my phone is made as long as it works as advertised and I can use it for my needs. I also don’t claim any moral high ground because I really don’t care about anything or anyone else but myself and my family and I believe that’s the same for the majority of people, our lives are too short to worry about problems that are out of our hands, I’d rather just make the most out of my life.
Plot twist: our character is the nephalem who lost his memories....
D4 Bad? D4 Bad. D4 Bad!
A mid game produced a mid DLC? Big shock
It feels like it's trying to be edgy well "explaining" why people get edgy. Doesn't work to well imo
You don’t even kill Mephisto and no mention of Diablo or Baal. Can’t wait for the next expansion to go for mephisto again.
Glad I didn't pay 70$ for a 2 hour long expansion
"Half the decorations in the game are torture devices." Tsk, tsk, Blizzard, ignoring the fundamental writing rule: Chekov's Iron Maiden.
