I am filled with inspiration as I'm going to make my first batch of banana wine this Spring 2022. I want to try this Ugandan banana wine, it will make a worldwide connection. Enoth said there's a distribution issue which is understandable...how can that be solved?
EDIT: @21:43 Enoth could teach economics.
Wonderful story, In Agribusiness lies the promise to get rural communities out of poverty.

Wonderful, I never tasted yet a banana wine. very nice product.
Am from Kagera- Tanzania we use almost similar method to produce local alcohol 🍻.
Hello tz
Thanks for the video
This is a great job, but try to use wooden vat. Fermenting and maturng in wooden vat, gives the wine some blended taste which makes it unique and special!!
Not easy to get in Uganda
@@abelddamulira7817 easy nawe, carpenters can fabricate those wooden vats
Nice job

i have a question for anyone from uganda who might be reading this.
in puerto rico we have a variety of banana we also eat as dessert, we call them "guineo manzano" which would be translated as "apple banana".
so i ask you about sukali ndizi.
are those bananas short, fat, with a thin skin and very sweet and aromatic?
that's my favourite variety. i even use them for baking banana bread and the taste is amazing.
greetings from puerto rico.
Yes it is 😊
@@jennifercooljeo6552 well....i have to visit uganda some day after equatorial guinea.
Where can I ingredients of making banana wine in Uganda
Good job Africa
When was sugar added, and how much?
If you are removing the peels, how does your wine get colour because you are not fermenting in a barrel?!!
Do you only produce white wine in this case?!!
Why is matooke cooked rather than smashed raw and left to ferment for few days?!!
Good question
Helps to sterilization I guess
im about to start a batch of banana, pumpkin and was debating on cooking or not...
Because it's starchy bananas. And as any starch brews you have to cook it. Look at any beer production.
@@rushbayou5230 If there is starch then cook it, if there is sugar, then no

I tried making banana wine at home and I only used yeast . But the color is white, how can I make it golden brown ?
i want my home brew to look like ur operation. ;)
What's a ka germ
I need calcium carbonate where can I get it?
What is the purpose of calcium carbonate?
is there any reason why the wine is not golden in colour?
I can only guess, but if they used brown sugar instead of white, it would give the darker colour.
@@rogergibbs2937 Oh Yeah That is true thou.
Very good question but I guess for every raw material used the colour of the wine might vary
16:10 at least they remove the insects that got into the wine so they dont go in the bottles with the wine and we drink them SMH ...
the way you are crudely filling those bottles is a bad practice and your wine will get oxidized or suffer from wild yeast etc , you need things like sorbates and sulfites and better sanitary conditions but i guess this is africa
So?
@@janifernamulondo6656 so you obviously did not comprehend what i said
