I really wish CSP's animation tools were like other animation programs. The current form feels so needlessly complicated, especially for 2019, when other software available for free have a more streamlined process.

I agree, but the good news is CSP is gaining traction in anime production in Japan. Last year Toei implemented their X-Sheet export function, so you can bet the tools will become more robust and efficient as the program ages. Frankly animation folders should function like video layers in Photoshop. That alone would make the program a lot easier to use.

Very cool tips! I literally started looking up youtube videos because I was like "there's got to be a way to duplicate the last cell in a button like in flash" what a shame
Dang, you're so clear and concise about everything I am so thankful. Every other tutorial I've tried to watch of others' suck. They get distracted, take forever to get to the point and fail to explain clearly. You really taught 10× as much as them in half the time. Brilliant video👌

What about for someone who folds their laptop into a drawing pad? How would they do right clicks or short cut keys w/o the physical keyboard or mouse?

So the feet are part of the body layer, while the hands and face hair & hat are there own? Does that help alot for animating ?

s there a way to create looping animation in the background while the main animation is running ( similar to symbol in adobe animate )
Yes....and no. Not like Flash/CC Animate but using the Batch Specify Cels option in the timeline you can create "looping" animations.

I would like to copy part of my image (selected with lasso) into another existing frame.
I know how to copy an entire image into a new layer. But it automatically creates an empty layer when I select part of my image using the lasso tool and hit "Control+C" and "Control+V" If I want to reuse the feet at frame 1, and copy it to frame 3 with a different pose, how can I do it?
This is an incredibly dumb limitation of csp right now, but you have to take both the layers out of their animation folders to make this happen. I agree, it's dumb..🤦

You can either just drag the timeline end bars to extend your animation or there is now an "insert frame" feature as well, under timeline > insert frame.
What if I want to scan in my animation drawings into Clip Studio, and import them into my animation file instead of drawing them in with Clip Studio. Is it possible?
import the scans into clip studio on different layers and specify them on the timeline
