- It’s never easy to take rejection. Whether it’s professional or personal, it doesn't feel good! But how you react is a choice that you control. I remember when Huda lost her job back in 2008. It was a crazy time and she reacted in a way that allowed her to cope... but it didn't turn into a positive until she started actively taking certain steps. I'm really stunned and glad you made this video Mona! I lost my job about 10 months ago and I am lost. I am trying to figure out what I really want to do in life, what is my calling, what am I passionate about but at times I feel like giving up and just trying to go back to that 9-5 corporate job.. Its a struggle but videos like these really help, especially what you guys said in the end about dealing with rejection and that you are amazing for having the intention to be better. I actually stopped learning marketing because I wasn’t passionate about it and I went thru a very dark phase bc of it. I was guilty for not wanting to do something even though I could be getting money from it. I pray it was a lesson and things get better
Love this. I had an accident n during recovery found my love of makeup. I can no longer do elements of my job so during lockdown, I invested in myself n did some online courses. I’m going to be doing beauty treatments. I know how special this time is but also this will be just as valuable to me as it will be to my customers. It’s my therapy. Watching this has hit so many truths for me, Thankyou. I can’t wait to be creative to give people the experience that makeup and beauty can bring and enjoy the experience as much as I do. I even have a few Huda products to treat them to

I feel you Huda and everything in this video just speaks to me. Just when you thought that career is something for you, you’ve put in so much effort and the results does show but there’s just too many bad experiences happened from the start till the end of the job that I had to leave. After leaving, I felt so defeated from the treatment I got and thinking what am I gonna do next in life. Not to mention.. afraid of what my parents would feel and like always seeking approval
Like you too, I was filling in the voids to make me feel better.
Only a month and a half later I could finally be in a calmer mental state and sat through with a friend. She asked “What have I learnt so far from the experiences?” - and that sparked me to reflect properly and think beyond the box.. what is the universe and God telling me.
Is this a redirection?
After reflecting, I realised that I love travelling and connecting with people around the world. Capturing beautiful landscapes and experience different cultures. I hope i could start there someday soon :)

I'm so like that with makeup- i started late..loved it when I was young but started using it more when I was like 23/24( after I got married ). Thought it was a phase and like 9 years later I'm just as obsessed! Don't think it will go anywhere now. And absolutely- makeup gives so much confidence and empowerment 💗
thank you so much this is happening to me now but my family did not accept and put the blame on me it was hard to lose a job after 10 years of hard work infairly but it was hurtful and devastating not getting support from my parents you story gonna help me go through and choose what i want and even what i want they don't agree to it but i'm going through no matter what
I can’t tell you the amount of videos i have watched during this lockdown period just to stay positive & nothing was helping & even books nothing made me feel better ,i just felt that they were just « selling » us advice or better said lies on how to live, i mean i just stopped believing them & nothing was « convincing » anymore because i realized that everyones journey in different & what worked for thousands doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for me cz this is life we are talking about not a shampoo brand , it might sound silly for other people but thats just how im feeling & i didn’t click on this videos to find a purpose but i have always loved you guys & i was interested to hear huda’s story & i actually loved it cz she wasn’t trying to tell us do this & do that like trying to give us some success DIY as everyone is doing.

This is soo inspirational! I having been working in beauty for a long time- Nars, and Urban decay and just before the lockdown I finally got promoted to Ysl as beauty manager. Dream job but I had to sign papers etc and guess what happens- covid19 😔.
However I believe everything happens for a reason and haven't let the failure get to me. Circumstances and what God has decreed will happen so I'm hopeful ( having a go at UA-cam!) And just seeing what opportunities life will give. I am putting in hard work! ❤
