To me is irrelevant if a movie is canon or not, I will admit it is more special if they are but is not necessary for me to enjoy them. If I had a good time and I don't regret watching them, then it's a success for me. There are so many of the Naruto, Bleach and One Piece movies that I regret watching... but none of the My Hero Academia movies I regret watching, I enjoy them all, some more than others, they have flaws, they are clearly not perfect but I consider them all good enough for me. Great video btw, the last few seconds were hilarious!
Interesting distinction. That's probably the best way to look at it. If it was entertaining. I guess I just have an anal personality trait that demands my media to be cannon. Just cause if it's not then it feels like boring filler fluff like the worst of the bleach, one piece, or naruto movies. God one of these days I wanna drag some friends and force them to watch all the naruto movies with me do like a long video or podcast or something. I feel like it'd be fun to just have some kind of tier list and break them down on some level.
@@lobstermagnetreview All of the Naruto movies in one go? Man that would torture for me! I guess it could be fun with friends, and with drinks and snacks haha I do remember liking the Shippuden movie Blood Prison, I think that was my favourite of the non canon Naruto movies.
Movies being canon isn't bad for the movies themselves, but they are fucking horrible to the main story because the author always have to make things more vague and confusing to make space for the movie events to exist.
Melissa became canon in the manga! Its still not clear if all of the events of the first movie is canon though. The one thing you could say is that Horikoshi really liked some of the characters of the movies.
I loved all 3 my hero academia movies and season 6 of my hero academia is a great season to I say they are all cannon I love hero academia and Katsuki is one of my favorite characters the anime is awesome I've seen every season so far and I've enjoyed all of them and the movies
Actually, Horokoshi liked Rody so much, he did confirm in a interview, that Rody will be making a appearance in the Manga soon. As for my quick thoughts on the movies. The first 2 MHA films were great! I really loved Heroes Rising the most! World Heroes Mission, not so much. It was "okay" at best. Not to mention, that movie is the reason why My Villain Academia got a shit adaption, so yeah, fuck World Heroes Mission. To me, the only good thing about the film was Rody. I personally liked the character. In fact, I'm not the only one. Aside from Horokoshi himself, but even the fanbase do too. In one of the popular MHA character polls, Rody actually won third place. Yea, a filler character won in the top polls. But Rody won't be filler for too long, like I said, Horokoshi has plans to bring him into the Manga. But do I consider the MHA films canon? Absolutely NOT! But they are fun to watch.
The way I see it is that they're "canon", just not very important canon They're not like the Dragon Ball films where none of these events actually happened, nor can they happen, because they're referenced in the manga and anime, but they're just moreso "oh yeah, that exists" events.
No shout out to Gintama movies? Shame lol The first two of course (I typed this before watching the entire video, like a shill 😆) Honestly I liked the fact that the second my hero movie tried to have all of 1-A to fight together.
Yeah that last movie made me very mad. From the way the villian was defeated to how the made all this promo material and figures based around the stealth designs when they were only worn for like a minute in the beginning. It fully captures how the series is falling off as it ends.
I think like the first one you can watch if you want something to the manga if you saw the series but the second one is my fine but my least favorite and I like the third but you know my thoughts, not saying these films are fantastic I just kinda enjoy it better than most of naruto shippuden films I guess with the exception of last of naruto

Thank you for giving World Heroes' Mission the treatment it deserves. The film was nothing but a mediocre bottle episode, with mindless action being the only time anything possibly interesting happened on-screen. And even the one and only character who got any character development was just endlessly repeating himself and playing the sympathy card. We got around 30 seconds of him interacting with his sister and brother, and yet we're supposed to give a shit about him? Also remember when Deku used Blackwhip in the final battle where it would've been very useful? Me neither. 3/10 for me.
I wish the filler shlock of World Hero Mission was in season 5 with the movie slot going to MVA. I can't watch season 6 because of how bad they butchered that arc.
I don't blame season 6 has been kind of mid but it's hilarious that some stuff from My villain academia got inserted into season 6 in a place that did not fit.

To me the 100% filler anime movies are like comfort food. You know it won't matter, but it's just a fun time (hopefully) with the characters you like
