I really needed a change in my life so I took valuable advice from Courtney and went with it, changed my look, started taking more care of myself, got new and better clothes and I've got women and men telling me I'm looking more attractive and respectable. It's crazy how much you can grow in other people's eyes when you value yourself.
2:40 That word she used was sprezzatura boys. "studied carelessness, especially as a characteristic quality or style of art or literature." Which I now realized is what my personal favorite style is called lol.
I currently own all these 10 essentials so it's refreshing to get a woman's opinion. It's also reassuring to know I'm on the right path by always doing my best to put effort in dressing well and having confidence. Thank you! Greetings from Costa Rica ❤️
I'm goth, so apparently I'm doomed. OTOH, many years ago, when I was first moving toward a dark aesthetic, a friend of mine took me aside and said that if I wanted to be attractive to women, I had to start wearing dark colors. Being a then young man with a perfectly functional set of hormones thank you very much, I took this advice to heart. It didn't work. Oh, there were other things involved (an issue "getting" social cues, crippling social anxiety, that sort of thing) but wearing bright colors didn't noticeably help. I was just vaguely uncomfortable in my own skin and had so internalized the "advice" that I never knew why. About a decade ago, however, things happened and I rediscovered that long buried dark aesthetic. My fashion soon shifted to match. Now, I still don't get social cues and still have crippling social anxiety but I'm comfortable in my own skin so they don't loom as large as they used to. And that, I think, being comfortable in yourself, in kind of the trump suit in the deck as it were.
0:00👋 Introduction to the video topic. 0:05📋 The video covers ten things men wear that women love. 0:09🗣 Research based on both personal opinion and input from female fashion majors. 0:45👔 Perfectly Fitted Suit: Emphasis on fit for confidence and attractiveness. 1:29👕 Button Down: Versatile for different occasions; rolling sleeves adds a casual yet stylish touch. 2:11👚 T-Shirt: Effortless and versatile; different colors for various looks. 2:42🧥 Nice Sweater: Higher quality, fits well, and is great for layering. 3:25🧥 Sport Coat/Blazer: Versatile, never underdressed or overdressed. 4:06🧥 Casual Jacket: Shows attention to detail and personal style. 4:39👖 Dark Denim: Flattering, versatile, and easy to dress up or down. 5:21👞 A Nice Pair of Shoes: Shoes are crucial as women notice them second after the face. 5:55🕶 Sunglasses: Adds mystery and coolness; important to know your face shape. 6:24⌚ A Watch: Symbolizes success and punctuality, fitting well with personal style.
Both you and Teddy have great style because you both favor looks that I would call timeless and tasteful as opposed to trendy and ridiculous. Best of luck with your channel.
referencing to 6:21, Back in the '80s, there was a song called "Sunglasses At Night" by Corey Hart. Throughout that time, I wore my sunglasses at night as I was inspired by the song. It was so great. People at random (especially the ladies) would sing that song whenever I walk by them. Nowadays, they don't do that much anymore; or perhaps most women have never heard of the song. But that's the first thing I thought when Courtney said, "Don't wear your sunglasses at night."
Suggestion for dudes: Courtney is right on about suits- fit comes first, above fabric and even quality. If your budget is tight, find a decent suit in your size and have a tailor make adjustments. You can do magic with a $250 department store suit and $100 worth of alterations. This goes beyond suits too- my biggest pet peeve with t-shirts is loose sleeves. If you don't have big biceps that fill out your sleeves, a tailor/seamstress can narrow the sleeves to fit your arms for not a lot of money. You'll get that James Bond fitted tee look at 2:39 without spending ridiculous money on designer t-shirts. Also, a note on matching accessories: all your leather should match. Brown shoes, brown belt, brown watch strap, etc. And with suit pants, your socks always match your pants, NOT your shoes.
I would add to that list a classic wool peacoat. If you live in a colder climate a peacoat is a must and can be worn over a suit or Jeans & sweater. And they look expensive to women....
@hoe bitches This is the problem with western society. You are now called a "simp" or a "white night" for being respectful to a woman who took time out of her day to make a useful video for men.
"2nd thing she looks at are your shoes. It can be a make it or break it for you" If she decides to walk away b/c of your shoes, then you most likely dodged a bullet.
Bless your heart for saying the watch doesn't have to be luxury. In my experience (speaking as a middle aged man), though, women do pay attention to the brand of watch men wear. It's the one piece of jewelry that men can (and should) splurge on. Wearing no watch at all is better than wearing a piece of junk.
Interesting comment Hugh. My experience as an “older” guy and a watch enthusiasts, the vast number of people, regardless of gender, have no clue the manufacturer of my various watches. I did have a 30 something female express liking my understated yellow gold 1965 Gruen on a brown lizard strap on a past occasion. I appreciate Courtney pointing out there are reasonable options to the luxury brands, something non-watch guys and/or guys on a very limited budget often don’t realize. I appreciate your comment.
solid list. dark blue/navy denim jeans are the best. that is my most important clothing item, any t shirt goes with them, but white t shirts look amazing with them, plus a pair of red converse-that three piece is perfect for the casual outfit. navy-white-grey colour scheme has been found by psychologists to be the most attractive colour scheme for a man to wear. it makes any one look good. just a note on the sunglasses tenth point-tinted glasses are massively on trend in hollywood.these are suitably for indoors specifically as they are made to counter photophobia from florescent light and phone/computer blue light specifically. and are lightly tinted so designed for indoors. for some celebrities though, they don't use them for light sensitivity, -only for the style element. johnny depp is known for blue tinted ones. robert downey jr is the king of these and has made them very cool with lots of different tints. but usually an orangey-brownish light tint, and we all know how stylishly cool he is. i'm photophobic-migrainal, so i have to wear them,-i've got four different pairs-different tints-a few of them similar to downey junior's, and they definitely get me noticed and plenty of complements.
Great Video, Courtney. Congrats!! I think you missed one important topic: A woman loves a great cologne on a man. Depending on the situation, the right cologne is a plus to any man. :)
Very well done, you comport yourself perfectly. I stumbled across your video by accident and look forward to more. I am glad to see a women saying what they like, not some guys personal experience which is only a small percentage of people.
Love your channel. Since you're a fashion major, what's your take on influencers saying that the mens' suit is dying? As the workplace becomes more casual and style in general becomes more casual today, do you recommend a good way to wear a suit without feeling out of place in the setting?
Hi Courtney can you please make a video talking about the differences between classy and having class, and also explaining the different types of attitudes that is professional and unprofessional.
my favortie parts on this is casual jackets Fitted suits (haven’t worn suits long timee) Button down Sunglasses & boots/shoes I don’t know about a watch.. I suck at math
Most of these are fairly straightforward. IMO, the perfect fitting suit is as rare as a unicorn because so much is going on with a suit that it is hard to find a perfect fit in an off the rack suit is hard to do. The best solution is to go full bespoke, but that is way too expensive for most guys. The next best is to take your off the rack suit to a tailor and get the suit altered. It helps to be on a first name basis with your tailor, and that is the rub. Not many guys are these days.
@Martin Tanz. A major problem with OFR suits sold in Department Stores, is that the enormous growth of online shopping has caused the leading brands to reduce the range of fractional sizing, and trying to work around the limited range of suit sizes by selling the suit jacket and pants as separate items. But you nearly always need to go to a Tailor for a good fit, because the Department Stores no longer have an in-house alterations service and recommended Tailors are not always up to the same standard as traditional in-house experts. Phil.
Some great tips here. Specially button shirt, leather jacket, dark denim jeans and watch (I wear all these). Yes women do look at shoes! Great stuff and you have a lovely delivery.
I have a video suggestion. How about you start a series changing Teddy’s hairstyle? Maybe shooting for all the many doos of Keanu Reeves. He’s got the locks. You have the skills. And it would be fun to watch. Will he go for it? 🤔
That is some phenomenal advice. To the point and you emphasized in the end it’s about confidence. I think changing up styles is scary for most people at first but after time you get used to it and don’t feel so uncomfortable. I think a lot of people are used to buying less expensive items to save money but since the quality is not very good they actually end up spending more in the long run because it falls apart so quickly. I like to spend a little more on something that will last. Some brand suggestions would be nice and helpful. Myself, I like Frye boots, Diesel boot cut jeans, Soul Revolver slim fit leather jackets, Ray Ban glasses, white Puma sneakers, nice slim fit above the knee or just at the knee shorts. Most of those are all expensive but you don’t need a lot of them and they will all last for years and years and they will look better over time. Jeans don’t need to be washed after every wear either so they keep the color. Where I go cheap on is shirts. You can load your closet full of t-shirts, Henley’s, sweaters, etc by getting them for cheap during holiday sales or just shopping around. Different cuts, styles, colors etc. I don’t think anyone should spend more than about $20 on a top, you just gotta search around.
I used to wear sunglasses indoors lol, not anymore tho it's so dumb, with one exception. I use sunglasses indoors when I play peekaboo with a baby, one of my mates has a 10 month old bundle of joy and blessings, and he (baby) has this weird liking for glasses on people's face, and funny faces make him smile so yeah I sometimes indoors wear the sunnies and flip em up and down to make baby laugh and play around (I take em off when I'm done 🤣).
@Richard Noseworthy. I support your suggestion and would like to add a suggestion. While a lot of UA-cam Channels, covering menswear repeatedly advise to get a Tailor to adjust the fitting of an OTR, none of these Advisers appear to have any Specialist knowledge about the recommendation they make, even if they have the Industry experience to know what changes a Professional Tailor can make. While it may not be easy for a relatively new Channel to get a knowledgeable Tailor to act as an occasional Guest Commentator, it has got off to a good start and would be a good platform for a range of Tailors, in Capital Cities, to be offered a 2 minutes Guest Commentator spot. Phil.
My personal thoughts on this topic 1. A great suit is nice. 2. Button-down shirt with sleeves rolled up looks fantastic, but your models have it wrong. Two folds, the depth of the cuff, is the key. Flat rollbacks look way better than these guy's arm-restricting rolls. Shirt sleeves done right, look so cool! Especially if you have darkish hair on those forearms. 3. Can't stand t shirts that have a crew neck. You look like you're choking. Get a handful of great v-necks. Skip the pastel-ly stuff. Go for masculine colors, such as gunmetal, brownish tans, black and navy. (Navy can almost look dressed up.) 4. Pullover sweaters are for city guys or sissies. Sorry, I don't know any manly men who regularly wear those. Date? Okay, a sweater with a shawl collar is pretty hot right now and really attractive! Also, a thin tech knit pullover in a dark color is alright. Much more sexy than a bulky knit. 5. Blazer, good idea but lose the white pants!!! 6. I LOVE leather jackets--very cool, never out of style! Worth the expenditure in the budget if you have a fairly trim body. If you are overweight though, I'm sorry, but it changes into "trying too hard". Don't really care for denim jackets. 7. Skinny jeans look silly on guys and make them look like teeny boppers and their feet look enormous. 8. I like the first shoes she shows, the leather ones. White sneakers (men actually wear "sneakers"?) are for sissies. Shoes are almost the last thing I notice, though. 9. Totally agree on the sunglasses. 10. Totally agree on the watch. She's right, a girl's not going to nosey up to see what brand watch he has on. If it looks cool--that's good enough! 11. A great look for a date is a pair of black jeans with a fine-checked button-down (in black also, but red can work). Roll those sleeves!
I wear polo button downs with the sleeves rolled up..which shows my other sleeves..LOL All good choices you made. Might be worth looking into a online business doing coordinated collections. I've seen online stores that have personal shopper reps that put together outfits and ship every month. Not sure how well the personal shopper pay is but thought of it while watching this video.
You're absolutely correct about the suit thing cause I love a perfect fitting suit cause I have quite a few of them...ohhh Ive seen all of these before its all a matter of style...and class some scenarios just don't agree with me...Ive got my own style...
"A watch shows that you are punctual, and a girl really cares about that" Yea, women should never talk about punctuality tbh. I wear a watch so that I know I should ditch a date when she is 10 mins late.
It does seem that way, but you don't have to buy everything at once or even buy everything. There's also a lot of good advice on building a minimalist wardrobe. You can start with that and add some other pieces later on. But it does cost a good bit of money upfront, if you want well-fitting, quality items that are going to last for years. Cheaper items (especially dress shoes) generally need to be replaced more often, and you'll probably end up spending more money overall and not looking as good.
Your videos are great! Can you possibly tell me where I might find the blouse you're wearing? My girlfriends birthday is coming up and it's very much her style.
Debating between a suit & a sport jacket (not sure what I got is this)...for a highly formal event....I think you got it down pretty simply, suit it is...
I am not sure how old this girl is but she is so mature and so down to earth. She seems so surreal in a very positive way. The type of good girl a man would want to be next to. Secure, pretty, intelligent, wise and such a nice toned voice!
Just came across this video. Thank you for sharing these great tips. When I am out I noticed that a lot of guys do neglect their footwear. I always make sure my shoes are clean and polished....and the last item i would add is SMILE....😄
I wear a lot of black clothes, almost the 90% of my clothes are black, I have all those clothes you said Courtney but in black color haha I just love minimalism
Personally I am not a big fashion guy. In general when I hear women talking about fashion in public. It's a turnoff. Kind of like what women think of men who like a lot of sports. And then talk about it a lot.
Hey! Is it okay to wear slightly more dressy looking boots over dress shoes for formal wear? I personally hate the look and fit of dress shoes. Would a boot like thursday boot get the job done? Curious to hear your thoughts! Thanks!
Thank you again. I REALLY need to buy new clothes..... the problem is that I dont like to go shopping so much, not for myself at least. But I really should. (I Subscribed to your channel now, you do really great videos.)
A list of classic style elements. One would be hard pressed to take issue with these suggestions. I disagree on watches though...it needs to be quality, but that's just me.
Not necessarily good looking but definitely at least mildly fit. Lots of superchunks out there who can't swing this stuff. Eat less, move more or shut the f up

Fact is,the average-looking or not-so-handsome guy can get a girl's attention by being confident and following the rules Courtney suggests. Knowledge about men's clothing doesn't hurt either.
The only problem I have with the suit thing, is where the heck would I even wear it to? What's the point of having clothes, even if it is the sexiest thing a guy can where, if there's no where you go where it would make sense
Nice video! What break would you recommend for suit trousers? I usually go for something like a half-break on jeans and chinos, but prefer something a little closer to a full-break for a suit.
Great video Courtney. I would like to share my opinion with you and this marvellous community and to know if you agree or don't agree with me. I am italian, so I hope that my english Is clear enough. First of all, I must say that a lot of girls find me physically attractive. Each year in my school about three girls of others class wanted to know me and this happened sistematically. Personally I think to know why girls was so interested in me. The only think that I did is to be in health, tall, thin with a bit of muscle. Actually, I am like a lot of men. So why girls was so interested? My answer is this: I show off these characterists of my body with my tight-fitting clothing: simply t-shirt and jeans (usually I weared also a leather jacket, always tight-fitting). I also play with contrasto colors, do example with t-shirt under Brown leather jacket. These are absolutely unexpensive but they did so much to attract woman. What let me gaped, Is that a lot of men do not understand that and they wear large t-shirt that Hide their body. I do not know why, It Is simple to understand that. After all, this Is what all women do and allow them to be so attractive for men. Think One Moment, If girls wear large t-shirt or/and jeans, these, of course lose a lot of attractiveness in men. Why men do not do the same? That is what I think, I would like to know what you think about my thought Courtney. Of course I do not know you, but I listened so much videos that you created and I feel you have a sincere and good soul. Usually that characterists Born when Life Is not so Easy with us, that what I percive. Thanks for what you do. Have good time Courtney!!
Nick Magliano thank you! I like Henleys a lot. The only thing to keep in mind is the way it fits! If they’re too big it looks sloppy and if they’re too tight it looks like the jersey shore show 😂
Great topic Courtney and well presented, this applies to men from your generation. How about one for the more mature gentleman, we know that you young ladies are looking . 👀😀😷
I’m going to do a video soon for more mature men too! You’re right, a couple of these are definitely targeted for younger guys. Thanks for the feedback Kevin! ❤️
Watches: you should own at least two, one casual and one spiffy. Also, a brown band with brown shoes/belt, black with black. Stainless or gold goes with anything except athletic wear.
Have you done a video on mens scents? There are a whole bunch on UA-cam but I still cannot decide on the one to spend money on. I want a casual, every day fresh scent that will get positive comments :)
Well i live in Sydney Australia so 90 % of the time here is board shorts/cargo shorts, singlet and thongs / flip flops and possibly a flanno if it's cold, bit like California suppose !!
Fun video -- thank you, Courtney. Your personality made it enjoyable to watch. I own multiples of all these items, but it's good advice for younger guys. It's also always good to know what women think, which is often a mystery to us dudes.

A crisp white shirt with black trousers looks and feels so good.
Great vid keep up the tips for men. Would love to see one on the perfect fitting suit and exactly how to get that perfect fit.
Thank you! Good idea!
Phil.
My personal thoughts on this topic
(Navy can almost look dressed up.)
Haha! Thank you so much. I’ve never looked into that but I probably should 😂 could be a nice little side hustle if anything!
I'd say be healthy and hydrated, and most things will look pretty good on you
You're absolutely correct about the suit thing cause I love a perfect fitting suit cause I have quite a few of them...ohhh Ive seen all of these before its all a matter of style...and class some scenarios just don't agree with me...Ive got my own style...
"A watch shows that you are punctual, and a girl really cares about that" Yea, women should never talk about punctuality tbh. I wear a watch so that I know I should ditch a date when she is 10 mins late.
Could you give some advice for men's vests (with jacket/without jacket...with ties/without ties, etc. Thank you. Great info!
@1:37, the left shirt is a button up shirt, while the right shirt is a button down shirt.
There's a slight difference.
In short: buy all the clothes and a watch😁
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It does seem that way, but you don't have to buy everything at once or even buy everything. There's also a lot of good advice on building a minimalist wardrobe. You can start with that and add some other pieces later on.
But it does cost a good bit of money upfront, if you want well-fitting, quality items that are going to last for years. Cheaper items (especially dress shoes) generally need to be replaced more often, and you'll probably end up spending more money overall and not looking as good.
Nope. Hardly that simple. Clothes that fit is hardly "all the clothes". Being a bit discerning goes a long ways

Lol.....or MVMT😁
I feel confident in my Star Wars tee and Brooks running shoes with jeans.
Just came across this video. Thank you for sharing these great tips. When I am out I noticed that a lot of guys do neglect their footwear. I always make sure my shoes are clean and polished....and the last item i would add is SMILE....😄
Yeah, it can be pretty groundbreaking when you realize women are more attentive to your footwear than your hair. I learned this truth at an early age
While the information is very basic, it was a good "Check List" and a well presented reminder. Phil.
Good idea for fashion items!
Just discovered this channel and I love it. Love it.
That makes me happy! Glad you’re here! ❤️
"A big wallet!"
best accessory of all
I wear a lot of black clothes, almost the 90% of my clothes are black, I have all those clothes you said Courtney but in black color haha I just love minimalism
Love the videos Courtney! I did want to ask, where can I find a girl that shares traditional values?
Great content and importantly you come across very genuine ,thank you . You have a new subscriber in me ,from England Uk 🇬🇧
I agree with other comments that wearing cologne makes a difference
Leather jacket and fabric both like to use
Could you make a video on dressing style for men (chubby, broad shoulders, muscular legs) we have clothing size problems everywhere.
I have all 10 covered. I have and wear them all, except for the T-shirt. I wear a shirt (button down) instead.
Personally I am not a big fashion guy. In general when I hear women talking about fashion in public. It's a turnoff. Kind of like what women think of men who like a lot of sports. And then talk about it a lot.
All very helpful tips- thank you!
Hey! Is it okay to wear slightly more dressy looking boots over dress shoes for formal wear? I personally hate the look and fit of dress shoes. Would a boot like thursday boot get the job done? Curious to hear your thoughts! Thanks!
Nice video, I like your presentation, straightforward, and honest.
The title of the video should be :
10 things that good looking men wear that women love.
Fact
Not necessarily good looking but definitely at least mildly fit.
Lots of superchunks out there who can't swing this stuff. Eat less, move more or shut the f up

Fact is,the average-looking or not-so-handsome guy can get a girl's attention by being confident and following the rules Courtney suggests. Knowledge about men's clothing doesn't hurt either.
I want to start a swearbox type thing for every time someone talking about fashion on UA-cam says ‘nice’.
Nice bro cool dude
Oh man, so true 👍!
nice
The only problem I have with the suit thing, is where the heck would I even wear it to? What's the point of having clothes, even if it is the sexiest thing a guy can where, if there's no where you go where it would make sense
2024 we wearing suits to the gas station to fill up on pump 7. 💪
Teddy is a lucky man is all I’m saying, thanks for this video Courtney! 😎
I wear my sunglasses indoors sometimes so I people don’t look directly into my eyes and to mainly avoid people.

I agree.
Somehow, a digital watch doesn't go well with a suit or a tuxedo.

Great video! Thoughts on Henleys???
Nick Magliano thank you! I like Henleys a lot. The only thing to keep in mind is the way it fits! If they’re too big it looks sloppy and if they’re too tight it looks like the jersey shore show 😂
Love your voice! and the way you explain everything about men’s fashion...
I want a casual, every day fresh scent that will get positive comments :)
her voice is very nice !
Thank you for your opinions 👍🏽
Just realized that this is geared toward guys that live in the city
Well i live in Sydney Australia so 90 % of the time here is board shorts/cargo shorts, singlet and thongs / flip flops and possibly a flanno if it's cold, bit like California suppose !!
I’m not into dressing up too much, not into dress shoes. I will put them on and all that but sneakers is my thing.
Another great video to your credit. Keep up the good work. Brian
I think you could add Henleys, I think it can bring up some casual look.
Henleys are great.
Does this apply to African American men too?
where do soccer jerseys ranks on this list?
I have my own choice mean like light color shirt and dark paint mostly
Different colors and I like to use T-shirts
I have all these things what u mentioned...😊
Fun video -- thank you, Courtney. Your personality made it enjoyable to watch. I own multiples of all these items, but it's good advice for younger guys. It's also always good to know what women think, which is often a mystery to us dudes.
great video Courtney, do you think it's a good idea to wear a hat or a sports cap ?
Thanks! Great advice Courtney! 😃
Of course! Thanks for watching 🥰
Thanks Courtney, love your presentation and manner, excellent.
