@@DevonBumpkin Your build came out great, I especially loved the kitchen/open living area and the private backyard. I will definitely be on the lookout for the one-tile wide skinny legend!😆
In tiny houses, I tend to use the short refrigerator (came w For Rent) so I can place a small appliance on top and not waste working counter space-this way I have room for a counter w sink!
Actually, I don't put any sinks at all in my builds. Sims don't need them and it makes gameplay so much better. That constant getting drinks of water every time you look away for a second drives me nuts. You just put the magic trash can in and you're golden. #livingsinkfree lol
Your 2 tile house looks like it could have been a spite house! Maybe siblings got a plot of land in inheritance but whomever was the executor of the will was dodgy and gave themselves the bigger plot and wanted to take advantage so that the other sibling "couldn't" build a home. Yet the other sibling decided to prove them wrong, built a house and possibly blocked a great view as well! These spite houses happened back before local government planning authorities, so not possible nowadays but there's so many historical examples, that might be inspo for future wacky builds!
there is this romance novel called The Spite House where the main female character lives in a tiny home just like this! there was once this gigantic property owned by two brothers and whilst one of them went to war, the other built a massive house taking up almost the entire property. so when the other brother returned from war, he built a tiny home in the little room he had leftover just to spite his sibling - which is why it's called the spite house!!
Am I weird? Why do I wanna live in this? I think it's rather beautiful and cozy. The books fit rather nicely on the home chef double shelves. Great video! Sending love.
Loveeee this!! 😍👏🏾 FYI for the bunk issue, you have to toggle "Auto Bunk Bed" ON or OFF. One reveals the latter up against the wall and the other option turns it off. They work similar to the kitchen counters in game.
Forgetting the kitchen sink is kinda a conmen event for sims builders. Idk why it just crosses over your head sometimes. Same with trash cans for me, I’ll make a whole castle with no trash can lol
Have you thought about making a video with packs that the sims has given away for free? (Base Game, Holiday Celebration, Jungle Adventure, My First Pet Stuff, Romantic Garden Stuff, Luxury Party Stuff, Backyard Stuff, Desert Luxe Kit, Blooming Rooms kit) I think it would be such a fun challenge for you to try! :)
Love the idea of this! Feel like I want to put a few of these together make each one a different colour so it looks like a box of crayons and make them into rental properties 🎨😂
I just know the kids must have tried to throw a bowling ball from the entryway all the way to the courtyard at least once 🤭 I don't know how it would work with only one tile, but I'd sure love to see you try! brilliant build as usual, even if it was only two tile wide you managed to make it so airy and cozy 🥺
I remember doing something similar to this when Snowy Escape came out. On one floor, a 2×12 apartment for a young adult student sim + garden, then a 3x12 apartment + garden next to it, and then a 4x12 apartment + garden next to that. Even included genkans in every unit. By the time I got to the 4x12 unit, it felt like I had all the space in the world to work with. You could always do a 1x3 bathroom with the shower in the middle opposite the door if you use the snowy escape/discover university shower. Perhaps not the most realistic, but it functions perfectly fine.
We need an in counter bin. Small houses usually have the bin in the counter to save space. Love this build! Reminds me of all those youtube videos of small narrow house that are between regular size places.
This kind of reminded me of NYC train apartments where they’re pretty narrow & you have to walk through rooms to get to another room because there’s no hallways.
I've been watching your channel for long and I'm so obsessed with your videos, that at this point i can predict what kind of items you're gonna go for the build 😂💜 lovely video as always 😌
Inspired by a YT short ( I don't know the creator). I tried this a bit ago because I couldn't believe the house would be functional. I ended up having so much fun playing in it. You've inspired me to give it another go. Gorgeous build, sir.
This reminds me of the student housing I was in. It's useful to have a separate shower and toilet area because it reduces arguments. A person can use the toilet while the other is showing.
ahhh, tiny *tiny* builds are my favourite thing to watch. i know lilsimsie and james turner (formerly known as the sim supply) have both done various teeny tiny builds/challenges before, but i'm honestly not sure that either have tried making the house multiple stories. and i know simsie normally makes it a bit easier on herself by having the bedroom be part of the living room lol, so not built for more than one sim. i'm *very* excited to watch this, as well as to go and check out your other tiny builds! i hope you'll decide to do more teeny tiny house builds, i could gobble up those videos more than once tbh :p edit: woo! you used my favourite wood floor in the entire game! i love how shiny it is, i always use the black swatch
😂no sink! But I love the build. So deceptive how big it appears. I was like ... what about the dining room then you put the island bench in and I was like .... clever! 😅
Thoroughly enjoyed this while munching my dinner 😊👌 Always feel inspired to build after watching one of your vids! I may have to download this from the gallery next time I play tho 👀 💛
Omg lmao I love this😂😂❤️ I think the only thing I would do different is the stairs, I’d flip it to the opposite direction and fit a little dining table under neither with two chairs on either side
you can make a fully functional bathroom in a 3x1 space, if you put the hand basin at one end the loo at the other and a wall shower from University or Snowy escape in the midde opposite the entry door.
I haven’t got time to watch atm but I just saw the thumbnail and laugh hideously because of how absurd the house look and my co worker was concerned 😂😂
To hell with the kitchen sink... It's not like the Sims actually use it. They'd rather clop clop up the bloody stairs and wash their bowl in the buggery shower.
Amazing video once again ❤ I have an idea for a build maybe a little crazy but you know how there are 4 levels above and below? Maybe a underground bunker base in stangerville that is 2 or more levels deep? 🤔
When I was in middle school/high school my parents didn't sleep in the same room and my Mom ended up using my brother's room (because he wasn't using it) so she was sleeping on a loft bed. Honestly wasn't that big of an issue, just kinda funny at times
For your sim adults that don't want to sleep in a bunk bed😅 you could still use a full size bed for two adult sims, you'll just have to tell them where to sleep.
I really like the build but I think it would probably be better suited for two roommates. I mean, a family of three sharing 1 indoor chair at dinnertime? lol
So excited to see this Devon! I was the chaotic soul who attempted the one-tile townhouse. Very eager to see your take on the challenge! 😀
It was you!! Thank you for the inspo, I'm going to have to follow suit with that challenge... 😅
@@DevonBumpkin lilsimsie has also done 1 tile, it involves a lot of faffing about and hiding things in walls lol x

His name isn’t Devon
30 minutes in and there's still no kitchen sink 😭😭😭 Aden, how dare you! You've got my tuppence in a twist!

Not the twisted tuppence😭

Just in case you didn't know, those free standing showers can go on the wall inbetween the toilet and sink and everything still works!
Came here to see if someone had mentioned this. 😊
I love that you're challenging yourself lately. I love to see how your brain works.
Continue the row! Next a 3x3, then a 4x4 etc.

3 tiles wide is the perfect size to fit in most objects, namely double beds and I think a hot tub fits as well?
You could have fit a little dining area under the stairs and then the whole family could actually sit.
