Here is a link to the Gourmia Amazon Storefront - amzn.to/3ZI8bWP I did see a rather expensive one like it on another Amazon product page, amzn.to/3D21bLs But I did find another one that reads the same, only it is black and at Target - www.target.com/p/gourmia-13qt-all-in-one-digital-air-fryer/-/A-86311151
I really loved your review, you remind me of my dad doing this lol. Oh btw the metal hook is not for the trays it’s for the rotisserie. Keep up the great reviews!!
I just got 1 a few days ago. It was on sale for $50.00, and my Philips from 2015 has seen enough action. It doesn't fit under my cabinet as another poster mentioned. I may build a shelf for it or a small stand. The baskets don't have any obvious way of coming out with the items provided with the kit. I just used an oven mitt, but that's a bit clunky. I was searching UA-cam for some info about the basket removal procedure, and this was my first stop. Nice review. Good luck Grandpa.
First of all, thank you for watching! I didn't have an issue fitting it under my cabinet but apparently some folks do. I should probably have included a height measurement in the review. I just figured my cabinets were kinda standard since it's just an apartment. I am going to pin a comment to the top with what I measured. Anyway the little tool for the rotisserie works, just not very good....I've been using a fork since I'll be using the fork anyway :-) It would be nice if they would provide a those little tongs that are curved down, not sure what they are called, just remember growing up seeing them. So how do you think this air fryer compares to the Phillips you replaced?
You're precious. Lol. I enjoyed watching your review. My husband and I picked one of these up last night and I baked some biscuits for my kids in it this morning. I didn't understand about the Preheat feature at first, either. Apparently, you can just click where it says Preheat at the bottom of the screen and it will turn it off. Happy frying!
Thank you and thank you for watching! How did the biscuits do? I didn't realize that you could turn off the pre-heat. I just stick whatever in it and hit start. I will try that next time. Thank you for watching!
Just dehydrated three trays of persimmons in this air fryer. Job done much faster than in my full sized dehydrator plus MUCH quieter. Loving this Gourmia model more and more. Bacon comes out perfect.
Thank you for the review! Love your personality and delivery! Your approach is very relatable - mistakes and all. For those who have not cooked with a counter top air fryer before, you really need to read the manual first so that you understand the preheat and turn-over functions included in the cooking process and how to use the baskets and drip pans. Again, really enjoyed your review. Best wishes to you!
I just picked up one of these today. Let me mention size. I have standard base kitchen cabinets and 30 inch wall cabinets. Set at the standard height of 7 feet to the top of the wall cabinet from the finished floor. From the top of my counter surface to the bottom of my 30" wall cabinet, this appliance does NOT fit. If you had thoughts of placing this on your kitchen counter and have wall cabinets. Something to consider as to where you will place it. Second, the door is secure when closed. In fact, when I go to open mine, the unit wants to tip over, so having food in your hand and opening the door is not a good idea because the unit wants to fall forward when door is pulled. I found I have to hold the front of the machine, then pull the door open. Cooking in this will be a learning experience for me. It is drier than my grilled chicken when cooked as directed. I will try to shorten the cook time.
It isn't small that is for sure. It is about the same height as my microwave though so it fit under my cabinet as the video showed. But yeah, taking some measurements would be a good idea. As far as opening the door goes, yes it does tilt forward when you open the door. I just put my index finger on the machine itself while pulling the door open, that left my other hand free. I have considered putting a couple of small pieces of Alien tape or some other type of double sided tape on the feet but that might make it more difficult to clean underneath it in the future. Just thinking, actually some suction cups might do the trick if you find it to difficult to open with one hand. Good to know about the chicken, might be some work arounds for that but I'm not much of a cook so I don't know. Anyway, thank you for sharing your experience with myself and others!
We just bought one today, it was a Black Friday deal for $50. We had another one same brand and absolutely loved it. I had bought the ninja one that flipped up and went out within 6 months.
I just got one yesterday, and I'm happy to see that you are still responding to people this recently on this video. I also paid $50 dollars like this commenter. I've been seeing a lot of negative reviews about this, so I'm wondering if it's just the users themself, because you are still enjoying yours a year later. I have only one question how often do you use it? And for what?
someone mentioned baking a cake and I'm hesitant about ME baking anything, but me doing a rotisserie chicken, that would be a whole different level of MY cooking skills...hahaha
Love my Gourmia air fryer. Just ordered another cook tray from Gourmia for $12 to use for dehydrating. I think you way overcooked those burritos. Cut down cooking time.
Is the door kinda hard to close? Like you have to slam it a little? I just got this yesterday and it seems I need to slam the door a bit. This is not like my last sur la table fryer door closed with ease
No not really hard to close. When I open mine, I have to place my thumb against the main body and pull the door open with my other fingers. Otherwise, the whole thing pulls forward. But as far as closing it, it just clicks closed with a just a slight pressure, but not a problem at all. Thank you for watching!
No, sorry, it does not. It has: Air Fry, Fries, Wings, Bacon, Seafood, Vegetables, Bake, Roast, Broil, Dehydrate, Reheat and Keep Warm. Hope that helped a little. Thank you for watching!
@@grandpasrandomreviews I bought it thinking I could cook pizza in it. I’ve never owned a toaster oven before and I guess I thought that this would cover that since it has so many options. Do you think it would work for a pizza?
well it air fry's frozen burritos and frozen chicken fried steaks really good. I'm not sure I'm brave enough nor talented enough to bake a cake....haha
I just got it out of the box and try to use it .And it started smelling bad put it on air fryer and the fan didn’t work and it kept getting hotter and hotter. Had to put on exhaust fan in the house to get the bad smell out of the house
I use it at least once a week. Mainly like frozen burrito's, the frozen chicken fried steaks, frozen fish and things like that. It does a great job. I've not actually cooked with it as far as like doing a rotisserie chicken but for what I have used it for, it's done great! Thank you for watching!
I've been seeing a lot of people complain about a burning smell with this and I noticed your box says stainless steel, but the newer ones look like they might be plastic with stainless steel, I hope not.
Hmm, I have had no issues at all like that. I got mine about one year ago now and it's worked perfect every time and I have noticed no burning smells. I hope you don't have any issues. Thank you for watching!
That was a heck of a deal there. Mines still going strong after a one year. I use it several times a week too. Hope the wings come out tasty! Thank you for watching!
Mine doesn't have 4" clearance on the top now but it isn't completely under the cabinet. Fit much better at my old apartment. Got a older house now and the cabinets are lower. But yeah, these things as well as others need room to breath. Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!

I highly suggest using the rotisserie option. it cooks a roast amazingly! Never had a better roast IN MY LIFE!
Hadn't thought about cooking a roast like that. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
I really liked your demonstration. I’ve always wanted an air frier.
This one is super easy to use...I really like it!
Just got mine from fedex today! Was a great deal for black friday.
also that handle doohicky is for when you're doing a rotisserie chicken, lets you lift it out
I figured that out after the fact...hahaha I am thoroughly enjoying this air fryer for sure.

Yeah it cooks a bit faster than the instructions say. I guess because it is a bit higher wattage than a lot of other air fryers. I'm learning :-)
