    Firecracker plant. So pretty, I imagine it must give a spectacular show on Fourth of July . If I’m correct. Lol

      Yes! Technically, you're correct! The firecracker plant does exceptionally well in the heat of the summer! 🧨

    Hy heirloom tomatoes get 2" a week. I start them from seed. I have so many tomatoes this year and no diseases!

    Great tips, thank you. Do you have a recommendation for lawn sprinklers for large areas...impact vs rotary sprinklers? Thanks

    • @JohnandBobs
      @JohnandBobs  2 роки тому

      Thanks for watching! By rotary I think you mean gear driven sprinklers, which I believe are superior to impact sprinklers.

    Thank you for these great watering tips! You've answered many of my questions. This is where I struggle the most in my garden - too dry or too wet??? Sandy soil is tricky with both moisture and nutrient retention. I just applied your Blend this week and I am excited to see if, in time, I can water a bit less as my soil gets more healthy.

    • @JohnandBobs
      @JohnandBobs  2 роки тому +1

      You are most welcome! Glad we have been able to help you through our videos :) It can be tricky to get the right watering down, especially with sandy soil. Just monitor it closely and try out different watering amounts/times until you find what works best. Blend will help improve your sandy soil's water and nutrient retention. Keep us posted if you have more questions in the future!

    I put out 40lb bag of Blend first week of October , when is my next app

      In Charlotte for your flowers, trees, shrubs, etc I would make another Blend application in early Spring (about March 15). If you want your turf as green as possible through Winter, apply a winterizing synthetic fertilizer like Simplot's Nitra-King (not sure if it's available there, but I know similar products are) at about 5lbs per 1,000sq ft now and then our Nourish Biosol on around March 1.

    Do you have any watering tips for those who have to water with a hose and moveable sprinkler? I can’t afford to install a lawn sprinkler system. Thank you!

    • @JohnandBobs
      @JohnandBobs  Рік тому +1

      Hi Laura,
      Try to select/plant a lawn that establishes deep roots and can be watered infrequently and deeply like a Bermuda or tall fescue. Infuse your soil with beneficial soil life by using our products or similar compost products because soil full of beneficial bacteria, fungi, protozoa and good nematodes is the best at conserving moisture. Good grass with good soil will need the least amount of water! ☺

      Thanks for the root-cause tips! Do you have any specific watering tips for a hose and sprinkler? Installing or overseeing with more hardy grass types requires watering which leads back to my question. @@JohnandBobs

      @@laurapeter3857 My only other advice would be to make the soil as healthy as possible by infusing it with micro-biology along with food/attractants for lots of complex soil microbiological life. -John

      We still have about 2 months of summer left. These watering tips can be applied year round as well :)
