I filed for an uncontested divorce and my wife filed the Answer and agreed to all the items in the complaint. This Answer form also includes the Counterclaim items so now the court considers this a Contested Divorce and won't grant us an uncontested final hearing.
I'm sure there's a simple way to get your divorce done. It sounds like you two need to present to the court a signed marital settlement agreement. That said, I wouldn't be signing off on a final agreement without an attorney reviewing it. There's just too many ways it can go sideways. Good luck!

Decide whether you want to change lawyers. Good communication between attorney and client is essential.
Great advice! We are going to try and use a mediator to help us handle this ourselves for around 2k.
Great option! Once you have an agreement how are you going to get the paperwork prepared and the final court date set?
