They had Broly in there based off the movie “Broly Second Coming” prolly for fan service purposes lol Personally I played Buus Fury more than Legacy of Goku 2 mainly because you unlock Gogeta at the end so Im lowkey bias as far as which one I like better 😂💯
The first time I played Buu’s Fury, I didn’t know about increasing the character stats. It is possible to beat the game without using that addition. Sure helps the gameplay a ton. If you haven’t tried that, & want an extra challenge, try it out😃
Surprised log was even continued after 1 2 was fire (probably from biased ) and buu fury was fire too just hated the end only gray was playing as goku once or twice in LOG2
In Legacy of Goku, if you let a Ki blast hit you while you are flying, you become invincible. The enemies act like you are flying, but you can still attack them.
"You can't beat the Namekian temple without watching a UA-cam video." *Puffs out chest pridefully* My parents got me the strategy guide when I was a kid. 😁
@@jeffmiles4356 I'm proud of your kid self too. You had to follow the hands in the temple that pointed to passages in the walls, and there were teleport pads that took you to different rooms. To this day, I don't think I've ever done that temple without a guide.
I think one key thing that made Buu's Fury a lot easier was also reducing the knockback the enemies take from your attacks. In LOG2, landing a combo on an enemy took some rhythm and reaction to how they bounced around the map, whereas in Buu's Fury they don't move nearly as far so you can just mash A to take them down.
holy heck dude this is unlocking a core memory. man i remember eating pounds of dark chocolate a month as a kid confused as heck playing this game at summer camp
My brother and I never understood the stats boost in buus fury back then, so we finished it doing like 100 damage in a boss with 125k hp. It was fun, though lol
Same. I think you slowly regain health over time because I remember glitching out kid buu to where he wouldn’t chase after me and hiding to restore my health for like 15 minutes
Legacy of goku 2 had me stumped on the level where there were switches to open the next step. I ended up max lvling out my characters. It was early in the game. After i figured out the switch pattern finishing was a piece of cake
Broly was in buu’s fury cuz they wanted to somehow have the “broly 2nd coming” movie be tied in cuz they managed to tie in fusion reborn. Also the big reward for collecting everything was the ability to fuse into gogeta. Who obviously breaks the game
You fight broly in buus fury because of the broly second coming movie it’s the same as how they incorporated Janemba they just tweaked it to be without Gohan and Videl being there to make it fit in the story
As a kid I watched cell saga, the broly movie and then picked up the buu’s fury game(after watching the show). I remember being so pissed as I beat broly with just goten, thinking no way this little kid wannabe is that much stronger than goku!
The reason the combat felt inconsistent in Legacy of Goku 1 and you felt like sometimes you'd deal lots of damage and sometimes not is because that's actually how the game works. There are bad hits and good hits. You have to position correctly to get a good hit, you can't be like on top of the enemy. You can tell which one you did because they have distinct sounds. The good hit sounds stronger, and the bad hit sounds like a miss almost. I struggled hard with the game as a kid, but the game is actually really well designed for its time and for what it was going for.
Ironically Legacy of Goku 1 has slowly become my favorite in the series. 2 and 3 are not big enough games to compete with other DBZ action RPGs so LoG 1 becomes that fun little bite sized romp you can beat in a few hours if you want to play a classic DBZ game. The grinding in LoG 1 was painful as a kid but if you kill the crabs instead of the wolfs right away and grab sensu beans and get all of the speed boosts(I missed the one from the rocks side quest as a kid so my Goku was quite a bit slower than he should have been for the big fights), the game progresses rather nicely until you get to Namek where there is a bit of long grinding if you want max level to make the Frieza fight a little shorter.
If I had to rate the games LoG: 1.5/5 LoG2:4.5/5 - Arguably the biggest glow up sequel I’ve ever seen. BF/LoG3: 4/5 - It did things better at the cost of it being far easier than LoG 2.
I agree. The game was pretty easy due to the easy overleveling and the map was hard to navigate sometimes. Just wish that you could have a harder difficulty to make it more interesting. Or even being able to replay boss fights.
Buu's Fury was my favorite and call me stupid but I didnt realize you can upgrade your stats with the stat points you gain each time you level up UNTIL my 2nd playthrough lol I equipped the best equipments and still couldnt figure out why I was only doing 1 dmg. Every boss fight took me like an hour to beat.
One thing I always wanted to do, was save all the possible capsules in 2 for Hercule. I probably just burnt myself out from playing the game the first time as a kid, but I wanted to see if his stats actually matched any of the Z fighters if you boosted him with all the capsules.
The clickbait worked because there is no way in hell Legacy of Goku 1 is amazing and 2 is trash and Buu's Fury is decent. The ranking should be: Legacy of Goku 2, Buu's fury and at the bottom Legacy of Goku 1.
as a kid, i played 2 first and loved it so much that i replayed it probably 30 times. each time hating that level where you have to carry the eggs. Then i got Buus fury and enjoyed that alot. But when i used my hard earned $15 to buy a used legacy of goku 1 from gamestop. i was 100% disappointed.
LG2 was my favorite. I remember preordering it, definitely the most nostalgic one. That and buu’s fury were the best. LG1 was nostalgic, but not as fun as the other two. LG1 was good for speed runs.
Legacy of Goku 1 was my first DBZ game and I hated it so much lmao the difficulty and bad game design was horrible but man did I get nostalgic seeing the footage
When I buy my Anbernic 405v im gonna take the chip out of my last Anbernic Rg353v and play everyone! Buus Fury is the only one I didnt play in the 5th grade. Thank you.
You had UA-cam to get through Legacy of Goku. You’re lucky. I had to get through that through trial and error. I even realized that some enemies have attack patterns that I can exploit. Do you know that if the dinosaur notices you and you do not move, it will not attack and you can just beat it up until it’s dead. It usually works when you’re to the left and right of it though. There is also a spot on the top right of the Ginyu Force map that lets you skip them and go straight to Frieza. Also you can trap enemies using the orbs and herbs. I played that game so much that I can go through it without getting hit once.
@@SilenceAC There are speedruns of the game. Especially since you can pretty much one-shot everyone once you reach level 18-20 (18 I believe for the dinosaur and 20 for basically everything else.) Heck, some of the Frieza soldiers have attack patterns based on their color. The blue one runs away from you when you attack him I know a lot about this because this was the first game I got on my GBA so I played the hell out of this game to the point that I remembered the levels I needed to beat certain enemies in one hit and even get the actual big ki blast without charging(although solar flare is my best friend). There are other glitches but since it has been so long, I don't remember all of them.

There is NO WAY in H.F.I.L. that you think LoG 1 is better than LoG 2. 😅 For real, though, I still don't know how I managed to beat LoG 1 to this day. LoG 2 was definitely the greatest of the trilogy, though there are some missions that try my patience (the eggs and the generators). Getting all the Lv. 50 trophies and the Golden Capsules was rough, but doable. Buu's Fury, I'm still in the middle of playing. I will agree that the stat system in that game takes a bit of the challenge out of it since you do a lot of damage (I'm talking "battle's over in about three or four punches" damage).
