  • I cant let this go, so once again I have recut and reedited my Napoleon Dynamite review in hopes that it doesn't get pulled.
This is one of the most important movies of all time to me, and it turned 20 this year. So to commemorate that I'm reviewing it and speaking on my history with it and how this little movie from a young Mormon director became a pop culture phenomenon

I was kinda there when I’m this film came out and it just didn’t click with me. I respect the movie for what it accomplished and I gave a lot of respect for showing me underlying value the film offered. It had its funny moments but I just don’t care for this film. I like Kip, kinda, but don’t care for anyone else, on varying degrees. And the story doesn’t captivate me.
I respect the video for this though.

I rewatched the movie because of the review the first time it went up, I respect your opinion but to me the movie does not hold up well, the characters are just too thin and the jokes are all memes. It reminds me of early Wes Anderson like Bottle Rocket, which would be my equivalent of your love for this, I guess. Give that a shot, not many people know about it. Slums of Beverly Hills too has this same vibe.
