The last decent fight the ufc put on would've been Jon jones vs lyoto machida in 2011 then Robbie Lawler vs Rory Macdonald in 2015 then Nate diaz vs Conor McGregor in 2016 don't get me wrong there has still been some pretty decent scraps between fighters in between those years and a few after but yeah the ufc just isn't really my brewski anymore to be honest!

Rob had a knee injury and couldnt fight bisping early enough so gsp fought bisping. Gsp won the belt and retired and rob got promoted to undisputed champ.

First of all, he did. Reyes beat him 3 - 2 and even Dana White, Joe Rogan, and like 99% of hardcore UFC fans agreed on that but the judges still gave it to Jones anyway. Arguably the biggest and most devastating robbery in UFC history for the career of a fighter. Second of all, Jones is not that guy anymore.
He used to be, but he’s become a joke in the last 4 years. Had one fight against Gane, who’s not even that good, and won. He ducked Franics for almost 3 years then miraculously made his comeback when Franics left MMA. Now he’s ducking Aspinall who’s the current #1 heavyweight fighter and a rising star. Only willing to fight Stipe (who hasn’t fought in 3 years, is old and washed up like Jones is, and the last time he did fight, got knocked tf out by Francis).
Jones has been hogging the heavyweight title for 4 years at this point with only 1 fight during all of that time against a non-impressive opponent for someone of Jone’s caliber, having done nothing to prove he still deserves it, and Dana White keeps getting on interviews and doing spins on Jone’s meat in a desperate attempt to sell the Stipe fight that nobody wants to see while downplaying all of the upcoming stars and talent and treating them like shit.
Jones doesn’t want to give Aspinall a chance because he doesn’t want to risk losing. He’s pushing 40, his career at the elite level is very clearly over as he’s conveniently ducked every high-level opponent he was matched with in the last 4 years, whether it be waiting for them to go away, getting “injured” days before the fight, straight out refusing to fight them, etc. If he’s not going to fight Aspinall, he needs to retire already and make room for other talent. Him and Dana are being selfish and acting like children.
